We dumped another hotel rewards program to go with this one and this first stay was a breath of FRESH AIR. Now we do NOT have to worry if the hotel is a painted over dump or people are living there full time. This stay at this Best western was a wonderful experience. Breakfast was a little small and they did not have fresh baked stuff BUT the area is small so that was fine with us. Staff was great, cleaning service was great, room fridge and appliances actually all worked, We really enjoyed our stay here. Half hour to Cherokee, half hour to Asheville, half hour to/on blue ridge parkway to see AWSOME scenery. Do not forget to stop a few mile south at the Barber Orchards Fruit Stand for wonderul bakery and fresh produce!!! Yum.. It was a perfect central place to stay!

I was pleasantly surprised! For a budget friendly choice in a town with very few choices for a stay I was pleased. I typically do not stay in a motel with door opening to the exterior and parking lots. I prefer the security of a hotel with rooms opening to an interior hallway. There several pickup trucks in the parking lot so I was not sure if they were construction workers for the build next door, so I was expecting the possibility of it being loud. It was very quiet, with little noise transfer from other rooms. The room was very clean and I picky about that. As a single traveler, the exterior opening door concerned me a bit. But I had no issues. The breakfast was super simple with limited choices for me to due gluten sensitivity. All in all I was pleased. I would stay again.

2nd time in less than a year we've stayed at this Hotel and would highly recommended it. Staff is great, rooms are clean and comfortable. The view from the back or the front are breathtaking. Breakfast area is clean and kept up. Just enough breakfast to get us going for the day.
