Our family of 5 stayed here as a halfway point on our way south for a family wedding. We stayed here again on our way back home. The property is beautiful! It’s set way up on a hill overlooking the town with the mountains in the background. It was very clean and the staff were very friendly. We all enjoyed the outdoor pool. It’s a little small, but enjoyable. Would definitely stay here again.

Nice view from the top of the hill. Room is clean, excellent for the price. Nothing that is spectacular, but great for the price range. Also they accept pets $25.00 a day.

Beautiful view from our balcony of the mountains. We loved the porch rockers on the balcony. Bed was very comfortable. The room was clean and spacious enough for what we needed. Nice TV, good size fridge for us too. Great recommendations for local restaurants too. Haywood and Bocelli's are great food choices! Hotel is quiet, far enough up the road and in the mountain off the highway. Only downfall is no workout room. Nice, simple breakfast offering. All employees we encountered were kind and personable.

Very clean room. Basic accommodations but the view was amazing on the balcony. All rooms face a gorgeous mountain view and have rockers on the balcony. No elevator, so keep that in mind if stairs are a challenge.

We had our service dog with us. Placed in room on 2d level. Parking was directly in front of room. Room was VERY musty. Turned on AC and opened the patio door to air our the room. Light switches were all sticky. Had to wakk diwn to front ofc fir ice and vending. Coffe maker in room had weak brand of coffee. Water pressure and temp control was fine. Continental brkfst offerings (no protein options) had been picked thru by 855am. Fresh fruit was only 2 green bananas. Best part was the absolutely stunning vie from our bakcony. Save for the view, this was a disappointing hotel.

The staff were very courteous and helpful. The room was spotless and the view was beautiful. We plan to stay there again. The location was perfect to go to all the towns we were visitong in Tennesse and North Carolina.

We booked a non smoking room and the room provided was very obviously reeking of old smoke. This was brought to the attention of the front desk attendant who told me that the room may smell of smoke if someone was smoking on the unit balcony. Nice. So much for non smoking. The smell was so intense I got no sleep and had to wash all of my clothes when I got home. This was disgusting. As for the room, I can’t say anything good about the dinghy lighting and chipped bathtub. The place is a dive and needs to be torched.

The good reviews were warranted. Clean, comfortable room with a nice view. Good TV and a comfortable bed. The ample outlets and USB power ports were appreciated greatly. When I think “EconoLodge”, I honestly don’t think of a facility quite this decent. I’d stay here again.

The view was nice, probably one of the better views that I've ever had from a hotel. Breakfast options was below average. No eggs, biscuits, sausage, or bacon. We had leftovers from a cafe nearby so I went down to get two cups of orange juice, which turned out really sour. Hotel room was clean, but the beds where really hard & the pillows went flat laying on them. Staff was nice though.

My only complaint is when we arrived at our room the heat was not on at all... the heater took quite a while to raise the room from about 50 degrees to 68. Other than that it was clean and comfortable.

The staff was nice, the room was clean though not in the best condition - there was no towel holder... you could see where it used to be but it was just missing. The ceiling had some spots where it was patched or repaired and just not blended well. Get the top floor if you can. While the room above me seemed to go to bed around the same time as me, I could hear every footstep. And it sounded like two kids were having races from the balcony to the front door. The view is amazing as the building is up a winding road. I would stay here again if I can get the top floor. For the price, it was one unit of hotel.

The room was clean and updated and the view was very nice with a balcony and rocking chairs. check in was easy. It was not very restful as the room above use must have been playing tennis in the room half the night. was told at check in that breakfast started at 6:30 but at 7:00 and 7:15 the breakfast area was closed and dark. We had to go out and buy food and when we returned the breakfast area was then open. Told them about it at check out but did not offer any discount. Was over priced for what it was

Cute motel with a great view on the smoky mountains. Having a balcony was fantastic. Room was renovated too. However, the A/C was blowing the air directly on our faces so we had to turn it off and got hot at night. The bed needs a new mattress too. And watch out for the black bear. There was one behind the garbage bin in the parking lot !!!

Staff was rude. TV was broken, room smelled musty, beds had. Rooms dated. I was asked to pay for for 2 people bc I reserved for 2 instead of 4 not thinking it mattered. I chose to leave because the room was not worth any more money than I had paid. The staff argued with me saying I wanted a refund bc I didn’t want to pay for the other 2 ppl. I didn’t want to pay anymore because the room was not to the standard for that kind of money. I spent the same price down at clarion a must nicer hotel down the road. I deserve my money back. I did not stay there.

Someone tried to break into my room at 11:14 PM while I was asleep. They pounded and rammed the door as hard as they could. They must have had a key because the door was open an inch or two. The only thing keeping them out was the safety lock at the top of the door as they continued to try and force their way in. Probably drunk. I ran to the door and screamed for them to leave. They eventually did and I called the front desk to report the incident. She said she would handle it. No follow up regarding it. Needless to say it was difficult to sleep afterwards. The next day I told a lady when I checked out what happened. She was aghast and apologetic. She said was going to tell the manager. I later surmised that the night person on duty gave a key to my room to someone else. I called the motel and told the person what I thought happened. She said had already discussed it with the manager. Thought I might get a call from the manager, maybe even a discount or comped night for such a restless night. But no. Not a peep. I won't be back to any Econo Lodge, and if I see Choice Hotels I will "choose" to run the other direction.

It was nice, clean, quiet and conveniently located. Owners were nice and helpful. The hilltop location provided a great view for all rooms. (The steep driveway could be challenging for extra large vehicles, though.) Breakfast was very basic. Bananas were the only fruit offered. We would gladly book here again.

This is an older hotel. They gave have done remodeling. It was very clean, staff VERY accommodating. Breakfast was muffins, yogurt, cereal, waffles, etc. the view off the balcony is AMAZING!!! Sunrise was beautiful! We would stay there again.
