Our stay at the property was good just a couple of things that needs work. The light from thenpool came out i n the pool while we were swimming. The bathroom could have definitely been cleaned better.

Staff was simply AWESOME!!!! I Have NO complaints, hotel was convenient to Cape Charles and Pickett's Harbor Farms. Close to Walmart. I got to get my morning walk on while i was there I'm an outdoor girl. Cousins enjoyed the pool. I will definitely stay at tbis hotel again.

Outdated. Floors were wet near elevators from people walking in and out of elevator from pool. Bathrooms felt old. Bed was very uncomfortable.

I booked this hotel specifically for EV charging. Just be aware that there is only a Tesla Charger, not a J1172 port. The staff allowed me to charge at a light post, but it was at 110 with an extension cord, so did not fully charge. Additionally, they were out a lot of things at breakfast. It was a very crowded hotel (summer), and very loud in the morning.

I had my two granddaughters with me & they LOVED the indoor pool, the hours were convenient. The breakfast was really good & the bed was comfortable. The staff was very sweet. It was an extremely pleasant stay.

Drink machines not stocked. Had to climb to the 3rd to get a soda. Ice machine on 2nd floor no ice. Used one on 3rd. The breakfast staff did a great job. Food was hot and well prepared.

Check in was amazingly simple. She easily found my reservation and I was able to get checked in. We went to Cape Charles which was close in proximity for a family vacation. We didn’t spend much time in our room. The time spent in the room was well worth it. It was a spacious room with a nice clean energy. My only complaint is the toilet, it wasn’t clean. Had several urine stain lines running down the front of it. I brought Lysol wipers and Lysol air freshener to spray so it wasn’t a huge deal. So overall, I’m rather satisfied

Clean well manicured, quiet even though on the highway! Comfortable bed! Floor tiles very slippery and almost felt like residual soap in the bath tub. D/w clerk! Overall pleasant stay

This hotel has an old shell but renovated furniture so, you can see where they place new baseboards in the bathroom but the caulking is missing and the faucets are rusted and are outdated. The tv stand and connecting dresser looks very nice, but the carpet is old. When you enter the room, it has a damp feeling to it. You can definitely smell the carpet. The front desk is very nice and so are the attendants during breakfast. There is a good option for breakfast, which our family loved. The hotel needs major renovations - everywhere you looked it seemed a door is ajar, a chair is broken, or a sign is curled in the corners. I didn't like that the cleaning room doors are always open - you can see everything in there. This room needs to be kept out of sight. I would definitely stay if you're just popping in for the night, but not for long stays at all.

We stayed at a hotel just across the street on our way down to Ocracoke Island. Let’s just say thumbs down. So I called Holiday Inn Express and made some inquiries about the beds in particular. We took a chance and booked it and this will now be THEE hotel we stay at coming and going from Ocracoke. I was very pleased with the beds in particular. The breakfast buffet had several good items to be had. The hotel was clean and felt updated and because of our experience here, we will give other Holiday Inn Expresses a chance, someplace that hasn’t been on our radar in the past.

Room was clean & nice, but view was not good ( looking out on front facade of hotel). Bathroom looked a bit tired in the tub area. My upstairs neighbor kept their TV on all night my first night so not good sleep. 2nd night fine. Overall a good, but mixed review stay.

My husband and I were visiting with family and stay at this Holiday Inn Express in Exmore. We asked for a handicap room with a King size bed and non-smoking of which we got on the first floor. The desk clerk was very friendly and asked if she could assist us in anyway. The room was very nice and clean, bed was very comfortable, TV, coffee was great. I loved the new way that they installed a screen and push button shade instead of curtains. I always hated those curtains right over the air conditioner that was hard to keep together when the air or heat was blowing. Plenty of space and plug ins for all your devices. When leaving one of the workers was cleaning in the hallway and when he saw me struggling with the luggage rack, he stopped what he was doing to help me. Everyone that worked there was so friendly and pleasant and helpful. Great place to stay and I will stay there again.

Front desk staff was excellent, they were so friendly, and personable, I’ve never had check in staff so wonderful before. The room was nice, it was clean, the walls are a little thin, so you can hear other people’s TVs and noise in the hallway but other than that, it was fabulous would definitely stay here again

There was little confusion on check-in couldn't find reservation at first and it took me like almost 45 mins to check-in making me late. I was there to DJ a party and by them taking so much time I was late to the function I was there to Dj for!!

this was my first time staying here but it was a generally good experience. My main issue was the lack of staff at the check-in counter. On three separate occasions no one was on duty or visible. I wanted to purchase some water and another couple wanted to check in but no one was available.

Our stay served our purpose as a stop on our way to OBX. Stay here yearly but still has the slight smell - mildew? Breakfast amenities ok but were out of many things like cereal, toast, etc. staff are super friendly and used the gym as we were in the car all day. Restaurants nearby. Quick check in and check out!
