The breakfast was horrible and the pool needed some cleaning. Also there was no circulation of air in the hallways. So once you came off the elevator, you were sweating until you got to your room. The room was clean and the front desk staff was extremely friendly and welcoming..

Staff was outstanding! Parking was easy. Super sad the waffle maker was broken. The AC on the floors upstairs were not on and they had fans everywhere but the AC in the rooms were amazing! Ice machines were top notch as well!

The room smelled terribly chemical. The water smelled very metallic. There was no AC in the elevators or on the floor outside of the room. It was So hot walking the hallways and they had giant Fans in the hall. We were only able to get one room key bc they “hadn’t gotten their order of keys delivered.” And when it was first given it wasn’t activated properly. Very disappointed in the experience for the money spent.

We do a quick stop over on the way to OBX. We payed double then gentleman in front of us so look for deal. Room was clean, mattress super comfy, very quiet, staff nice and breakfast not bad. The only complaint was the pool was slippery & cloudy and I was afraid of getting sick after I went in without realizing the water condition. Other than that nice facility!

Breakfast menu was okay. Stayed there before and it had more options to choose from. Parking lot is a little dark, especially parking on the backside of the hotel. I little more lighting would be nice in the rear entrance of the building.

Check in was smooth and staff gracious and informative. Room was on second floor and two large fans were moving air because hall wasn't air conditioned. Bed and pillows should be replaced, they were showing their age with soft worn spots. Noisy occupants on third floor made sleeping difficult.

My room wasn't that clean, the bathroom toilet and tube was half cleaned, the room wall was alittle dirty and the carpet had spots, I mean for all the money you have to pay and the beds are very uncomfortable but your staff was great and really friendly. Breakfast was also good... SO everything wasn't so bad.

Carpets need replace. The entire hotel needs an update. TV in room only had 5 working channels. Front desk employee only solution was to " tell the manager tomorrow". There were flies in the room and at the Continental breakfast. The refrigerator in the room was working but it looked like it was ready to die .

The facility was dated. It had a mildewed scent like mold may have been present. The temperature remained extremely cold causing me to increase the thermostat to 80 degrees. The bed was very comfortable which the best feature of my stay.

Our room was dirty, outdated, and in need of repairs, with water damage in the bathroom, dried vomit on one of the mattresses, exposed wires on the A/C unit, broken sink, and rusty water. When he advised the front desk of the issues, they told us our only recourse was to “take it up with Expedia”. We should be reimbursed for our stay. Atrocious.

I booked a double queen suite and upon arrival was told that they were overbooked and that because I booked through a third party, I was downgraded to a double queen room with no compensation. The room was large, but lacked the additional sitting area I needed. It did not have a microwave. The carpet was heavily stained. The toilet bowl was stained and looked dirty. There was a post-it note that said “no waffles” at the breakfast both mornings. Other options were limited, and not up to the usual Hampton Inn standards. The pool was clean, but there were no towels available and very few chairs.

Only local TV stations; NO microwave or mini fridge; thermostat set to automatic so hard to adjust temperature (room too hot or too cold); no clean towels brought to the room (had to ask at front desk), no trash removal. Before our stay I tried to contact the hotel with some questions. I called six times, got a menu and was told to hold. After three minutes and twenty seconds I was disconnected. Six times. Check-in is 3 pm. We waited until after 4 pm for our room, drinking tepid coffee in the lobby. When our room was ready, the key cards didn’t work. There was no shower curtain in the bath. The beds were very comfortable and provided a good night’s sleep. The TV wasn’t working and we had limited channels and, of course, not the one we wanted to watch. However, Josh was very attentive to our needs as they came up.

Property is conveniently located off the highway and is clean and quiet. The staff here is always wonderful, a shout out to Brenda, who went out of her way to make sure we had a room that met our needs. We love staying here., and will do so every time we’re in the area.

We had a pleasant stay at the Hampton in Exmore. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. Yvette in particular was outstanding in customer service as well as making you feel at home. We travel frequently and cannot remember a better experience.

I am so tired of rude desk staff blaming Expedia for reservation problems. I clearly reserved two rooms, I had two reservations and confirmation numbers and the clerk still refused check in. I was on the phone with Expedia well past 11pm trying to resolve this issue and I grow tired of how bad this is becoming. Expedia needs to vet these hotel partners better or train them or remove them from their website.

Everyone was very friendly and super helpful. The location was perfect for walking our dog, and they had dog waste containers in two locations with bags and a large field away from traffic to exercise your pet.

Too many flies in Lobby. Left property to eat breakfast. People traveling south have to do a u-turn in a busy divided highway intersection and immediately turn into Hardees lot to access hotel.

We arrived on Friday evening. Hotel staff said they had were fully booked. That being the case better planning should have been done, The hotel provides breakfast every morning. The truck delivery didn't arrive until Saturday morning. All food items were not available because it was on the truck. The same thing happened Sunday morning, watered down orange juice. Guessing the full strength was still on the truck.

Reservation was somehow changed from 2 beds to one and there was nothing done to rectify the situation. I was simply told the manger will give you a discount in the morning. This is the saddest Hampton I have ever seen. It's basically an old gross hotel with a remodeled lobby. Toilets and tub were moldy stained and gross. Carpet was old and dirty. Breakfast in the morning was terrible. Everything was empty. When ask about getting something I was simply told the truck isn't here yet there's nothing I can do about it. The woman simply did not care to do her job. The whole experience was awful.

We stayed on a Thursday night. It was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The a/c unit worked but was loud. The bathroom could use a fan, and it would be nice to have extra ledge on either sides of the beds to put small items on before turning down. Other than that, very pleasant stay, super kind staff, and great breakfast choices. We would recommend this hotel as a comfortable place to stay!
