Red Lion Inn & Suites McMinnville

Overall this property could use a major overhaul. TV didn’t work for the first night. They did fix the next day. For Movie night, not a smart TV. Cable only. Microwave was so old it wouldn’t pop the popcorn. Indoor pool was nice. Staff was very good. Location was good . Someone could do well to buy this place and invest in updates. I’m sure it has potential to be a popular place.

Was great with the exception the hot tub was under construction. Would be nice to know that construction is being performed during stay before booking.

When I called to make reservations, person at desk tried to lie and say $200 was “best they could do” for medical discount on one night’s accommodations. I told her that’s full price according to the website, she said that’s what it would be. I paid slightly less going through hotels.com. Room was clean and free of bedbugs. Bed and bedding was very comfortable. Pillows were perfect. However, carpet was wet in places, badly stained and was missing in one place (hole). The couch was broken down and swallowed anyone who sat on it. Office chair was missing vinyl on the arms entirely, worn through. There were suspicious spots on the carpet that looked like possible animal messes or spills and were a little tacky to the touch; we didn’t feel comfortable setting our things on the floor or walking barefoot. Microwave and fridge worked fine, drawers and lamps were serviceable. Heat and air worked perfectly. Breakfast was good, enjoyed the orange juice. Didn’t get to try the pool or jacuzzi due to medical procedure, but it looked clean and inviting. The ice machine worked great and made a huge difference in my comfort during the stay, as I had to consume some pretty nasty medicine. Ice made it infinitely more tolerable. We also appreciated that laundry facilities were available, though we didn’t need to use them. The staff we encountered were all very polite, the GM was a nice lady. Not a terrible stay, but the room desperately needs an overhaul.

I wouldn't pay the price for this hotel a second time. It was falling apart. Cracks in the hot tup and pools. Pool area had spiderwebs with dead bugs in the corners. Chips and broken stuff throughout the hotel and in the rooms. Our tv remote was under one of the beds. The staff was very friendly and promot. The breakfast was a joke. They had biscuits and gravy, and a waffle maker. No other hot foods. Mini muffins, bagles and toast with a few cereal options. Worst hotel breakfast i have seen yet at a stay. I truly expected a better level of comfort staying at a red lion. The beds were also very broken down. I dont know if its just the town because the comfort inn across the street looked to be falling apart as well fom the outside.

i appreciated the hot tub... even in the summer. The pool was nice, too.

Hotel room lighting was not very good and room, in general, somewhat outdated. Pool and hot tub were both closed. Fitness center was cramped and offered no weights, only 3 cardio machines parked right next to each other.

I liked that the housekeeping staff took care of you. I didnt like that the hot tub was closed the entire time.

The staff were friendly. The elevator was out-of-order during our stay. The continental breakfast was fairly limited, but serviceable.

The smell inside the room was nasty and I can’t explain it. After being inside for a bit, I didn’t notice it any longer. On the first night when I needed to use the bathroom, the toilet looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. There was still “stuff” inside and around the bowl. I had to pee so bad that I cleaned it off so I could sit down. The sink also had some black gunk around the drain. I told the front desk and requested a special cleaning before using any more plumbing. They accommodated my request immediately and we didn’t have any more issues. We didn’t want to change rooms because we were there for 3 days and had lots of things for our self and the dogs. They welcome dogs and they have a great doggie area around the property. There’s nothing really near the hotel except the McDonald’s next door. Although inconvenient, it was nice to be in the country. It’s a standard outdated hotel, but it was fine for our stay. Nothing fancy but friendly and accommodating staff.

The assigned room(304) smelled like mold, i asked front desk to assign me another room that did not have that strong odor and they did without any hesitation. Also the price per night ($200.00 ) is way too high for what this place offered, inside , it looked outdated and that old mold smell. This motel needs total renovation, or drop their price per night in half. Would not go back again. We go there for Air Show every year.

I came into town for a funeral and decided to get a room for the night. While my daughter and I were getting ready we noticed bugs crawling in the light fixture above the vanity. We then saw some crawling on the carpet which is when I realized they were cockroaches. I didn’t have time to complain as I had to get ready for the funeral. The day we checked out I let the person at the counter know and all he said was, oh yeah the bugs come inside when it’s hot outside. I told him I hope I didn’t bring any home with me and he didn’t seem concerned. I showed him the video I took and he just said oh ok. He should have apologized or immediately called for someone to go take a look.

Everything was great. The rooms were nice and clean, and the staff was wonderful.

Property was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. The price seemed a little high for the property, so the value might not be what you expect, otherwise things were good.

The stay at red lion Inn was OK. The breakfast was OK. There’s literally nothing special about this red Lion inn. They do have an indoor pool which is great. But the location is not awesome. They’re really aren’t many food options nearby unless you enjoy McDonald’s. My room did not have a functioning AC. And I ended up checking out a day early.

They checked me into a room that shared a wall with an elevator the first night. Noise until midnight and again starting at 7am. If you het that room, change! The desk clerks were very helpful and pleasant, and forms another room for me.

We were ther for a family funeral. We had our dog, which was his first time staying in a hotel. Was very quiet in the room, didn’t hear any noises at all. We will go back there again.

The bed was horribly soft. It felt like it was made of marshmallows. It would be nice to have brighter lights over the sink area.

Mary Theresa was absolutely the best in helping me get an extra night at such short notice. Everyone there was very pleasant and accommodating.

We stay here because it is off the main drag. Quite and not many drifters. The main streets of McMinnville, though cute, have MANY street people. This is a 2 star hotel for a reason. It's not fancy. Gets the job done. It's cool that it has a pool for the kids (also very not fancy). The staff was kind and helpful.

The room was clean and comfortable. When checking in, the staff was very friendly, polite and personable. Made us feel more relaxed afger talking with her.

We arrived at 430 pm and they did not have a room for us. They were short staffed, which is understandable but we had taken a redeye flight and needed to freshen up before dinner. Had to nap in our rental car and wasn’t able to check in until 6 pm. Breakfast the next morning was meager. Staff was friendly but only 1 person working whole hotel. Likely will not stay again.

It was an ok stay for 1 night. We booked for a wedding nearby. The shuttle for the wedding was picking us up around 1:30 so when we got there around 1, I was really hoping to get checked in early. After accepting a room we didn't book just to get checked in early, the guy at the front desk told me there would be a $35 early check-in fee. I asked if the room totals would be the same but he said the price couldn't be reduced because I booked it via 3rd party. I then asked since it was only 2 hours and we're not getting the room we wanted could they waive the fee? He proceeded to act like he didn't hear me... I was already stressed out about getting in our room and ready in 30 mins that I just gave him my card. I understand early checkin policy but every hotel i've ever been to that I've tried to do early checkin, they have always been accommodating. I've never ever paid an early check-in fee especially when there was already a room available and it was a room we didn't even book. Definitely need to teach front desk a little bit more customer service skills.

Good location for a quick overnight stay in McMinnville. Check in was efficient; property appears adequately maintained and the room was quiet and clean with all the necessities.

Everything was great except the reason for staying with you all was because we wanted to go swimming and relax in the hot tub. For over $200 a night and the pool was so cold you couldn’t get in and the spa wasn’t working. Very disappointed in that for sure. And the breakfast was a little disappointing

I had never stayed in a Red Lion Inn before, and frankly expected it to be pretty basic. It was delightful: clean, well maintained and offering every amenity I typically choose in a hotel. The only thing I might criticize was the breakfast, which included a number of overly sweet and fatty choices, with very little in the way of fresh fruit and other healthy options.

The rooms were clean and the people were friendly. I booked this place specifically for the breakfast service they offered, which was had few options, no variety and was always out. I’m disappointed in that. I would have went with another hotel that didn’t have breakfast closer to my destination but I chose this one. Probably won’t stay at a red lion when bringing my kids, they are the ones I am feeding.

Good basic room, same floor plan as you’ll find in any city in America. Not that it’s bad, it just is. Breakfast was weak, staff is great. Double thumbs up for the staff.

Room was well appointed and the beds were very comfortable. The only things that suck out to me were that the hot water didn't seem to get hot enough in the shower. Also the breakfast was lacking in warm proteins.
