I booked this hotel mostly so my kids could use the advertised indoor heated pool. Then I arrive and am told the pool is broken and my only option is to drive to Holyoke and use another property’s pool. If a major amenity is not working or available, it should be noted when booking. I’d like a partial refund since my full rate included a pool and we didn’t get what we paid for.

Pool was closed. Elevator was closed for maintenance Only 2 floors but a handicap person would need a first floor unit. Beds had mattresses that were very high. A person with a disability would have difficulty getting on it. It caused us to check out same day we checked in

This hotel was charging $500 a night as it was during graduation . The elevators didn’t work. The sign out front wasn’t lit so we couldn’t see it when we approached it at night. The pool wasn’t working. no hairdryer in the room, but the bed was comfortable.

I especially chose this hotel because, according to the Orbitz website, it had a pool and an exercise room. However, the pool was closed for maintenance. It looked like the pool had not been used for a long time, because there were things floating in it. The exercise room was also closed. In fact, there was no exercise equipment in the exercise room, so it looked like it had been closed for a while. The elevator nearest to my room was out of order, so I had to take the stairs. Luckily, I did not have much luggage. The room itself was clean and adequate. However, no one ever cleaned the room, even though I stayed in the hotel for three nights. I was surprised that this was a motel where each hotel guest enters their room from the outside. I usually prefer hotels where hotel guests have to walk through the lobby to reach their rooms, because I think they are safer. The hotel was being renovated while I was there. This is a good thing since the hotel looks shabby. Hardly anyone was staying in the hotel while I was there. One day, I was the only guest at breakfast. The free breakfast was okay, but the fruit available consisted of a bowl of apples. On one of the mornings, there was no fruit at all. At least, the staff was very nice and friendly.

Pool was closed. Treadmill was broken. Saw a lot of deferred maintenance. The breakfast was a pleasant surprise. Good selection of food and beverages. Service was excellent. Room was clean and roomy. Water pressure was on the low side. Elevator was broken.

I stayed one night with my kids for a college visit. Overall the room served its purpose as a place to sleep, but it smelled like cologne and was musty. The door to the shower/toilet wouldn't close, the air-conditioner was loud and didn't work very well and even though there was a microwave (which was nice to have) the turntable plate had some kind of sticky liquid on it, milk maybe? The people at the front desk were nice enough at check in and check out, no complaints there but the room could've been cleaner.

The room was crisp and clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The only issue was that the sink drained very slowly. (I mentioned this to the person at the checkout desk and she was most appreciative.) P.S. I wish the room had chair-height toilets. The low ones are especially difficult for elderly folks like myself.

We checked into the room. The toilet had pee inside it and the handle to the toilet was completely broken so it did not flush. There was also dirty towels in the bathroom altogether very gross.

Clean inside hotel room. Unfortunately the sounds of washing machines started at 4am so that’s when we woke up. The washing machine noises continued until we left at 8:45am. The vent/fan in the bathroom didn’t work. A part to the coffeemaker (top cover) was missing.

We had a room in the older section (doors open to outside) as opposed to newer building with interior hallway. It was clean but a bit dated. Bed very comfortable. There was a loud banging noise periodically coming just behind the wall, probably water heater or pump. Continued at regular intervals day and night. Quite annoying. While checking in were told housekeeping was by request. No big surprise as most hotels have this policy now. We were staying 3 nights so I asked that we have housekeeping after night 2. Desk person said sure and made a note to order that for us. That morning when we left we placed all towels on the bathroom floor and tidied away our belongings to made housekeeping easier. When we returned late that evening, room had not been serviced. Not happy with that. Breakfast offerings were varied, delicious, and well presented. Dining room was clean and staffed with helpful attendant . No complaints there.

Shower curtain rod was angled down so the curtain wouldn’t stay shut. Heating unit dials were wonky. There was a thermostat on the wall but it didn’t seem to do anything other than tell us it was 55 when we arrived and 80 when we got back from dinner. Bedside table shelf was pulling away from the wall so it was sloped marking it hard for non flat items to stay put.

Our room was directly next to a maintenance room and there was a loud banging noise that would happen every few minutes for the entirety of our stay. I did not get any sleep due to this. There was a very strange, strong smell in the room though it did seem clean. The heating/air conditioning unit did not seem to work very well. I had to get up several times during the night to turn the unit on/off as it kept malfunctioning and the room kept getting unbearably hot. Staff were all very nice and breakfast was good with a nice amount of choices.

We stayed in a double queen room. The rooms had been recently renovated. The room did have a chemical smell when we got there but went away after we left the window open for a bit. The beds are really high off the ground. The tv was nice. The hair dryer is in the drawer and not in the bathroom. There is a sink area with a barn door separate from the shower and toilet which was convenient. We stayed for just one night but it was just fine for that. It was a nice 15 walk to downtown. Breakfast in the morning is what you expect but it was just what we needed. Coffee and jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches. The bed was a little too firm for me, but that is just me. And the thermostat on the wall is useless. You control the hvac from the wall unit directly. If you aren’t looking for fancy and need a place to stay in Northampton, this isn’t a bad option. The people at the front desk were very nice.

One of the reasons that I chose this place was it was convenient, reasonable, and it advertised a fitness center. However the fitness center was not available due to "maintenance". When I asked about a slight reduction in the fee, there were two people at the desk...one was exrtremely rude (a male) and then another intervened and was quite pleasant. Anyway I was told they could not accomodate me because I booked through Expedia. I thought I should be entitled to some reduction. Also the breakfast was terrible.

The room was very clean and the staff were extremely friendly. professional and helpful. I was impressed that the gentleman who checked me in the night of my staff checked to make sure nobody was in ear shot before telling me my room number. That communicated to me that he cares about the safety and privacy of his guests.

Well maintained facility, extremely convenient to Northampton. The rooms are very comfortable. I have stayed there previously and may stay there again. The check in was frustrating. We were given a room number with no specific instructions of where to go, so we entered the hotel from the door at the check in and did not see an elevator so we carried our bags up the stairs only to find out there is no 3rd floor. We returned to the front desk and asked and were then informed we needed to go to the other building across the parking lot. It was dark and we headed over. The first two doors are were locked and it was the third door that allowed access to the building. Some simple directions from the desk at checkin would have made all the difference in terms of me being a return customer. At $427 per night, I would not expect to have to wander around and figure stuff out myself. Next time, I will probably look for a different hotel or air bnb as the service did not match up with the price. If not available, would definitely stay here again.

The location for someone needing to get around Northampton. It's proximity to I-91, without backing up to it, is good. The people are friendly, staff and hotel occupants. TV receptions for the channels I wanted, especially for PBS, was not great.

The rooms were updated and clean, the lobby was functional, and the it was an easy walk into downtown. I was definitely taken back by the outside appearance which was more like an old fashioned motel.

Lights were not on! Worst breakfast. period. Dry scrambled eggs. No meat. No oatmeal. No coffee-- cold decaf. Had to ask for hot coffee, No cream or milk-- coffee mate only. No yogurt, no fruit, no hard boiled eggs. No butter for toast-- frozen tabs offered. Plastic wrapped gooey stale muffins. Free breakfast? Bad joke. Sump pump ran all night. Stayed here in 2017 for wedding-- super. Must have changed management.
