Fomos muito bem recebidos pelo hotel desde a chegada à estação de trem, quando nos ajudaram com as malas. A localização é excelente, central e perto de muitas lojinhas e restaurantes, com uma vista espetacular do rio. Usamos alguns serviços oferecidos pelo hotel, como o jantar romântico e o SPA. O jantar foi incrível, um menu degustação composto por 2 entradas, 2 pratos principais e 2 sobremesas, harmonizados com vinhos e espumantes, caminho de flores, velas e muitas surpresas! Vale muito a pena! O SPA também foi muito bom, porém não era climatizado e sentimos um pouco de calor. A comida do hotel é muito boa, café da manhã bem servido e os drinks do bar são ótimos. O concierge sempre disponível, nos indocou ótimas opções privativas de apoio turístico para a montanha e também o serviço de transfer no retorno para Cusco! Com certeza recomendamos!

We had a room with River view it’s beautiful….they come to pick us from the train station it’s 7 mn walk from the hotel , we had the best massage , the best diner, the best breakfast..the peoples working there, they do anything to help you just ask 🙏we will definitely recommend and come back again .Thankyou to all . Lindo hotel com quartos com varanda para o rio Urubamba. Não tinha comprado quarto com a vista mas recebi o upgrade, pois estava relativamente vazio o hotel em baixa temporada. Tudo muito limpo e confortável. Um funcionário do hotel te espera na estação de trem para te receber e levar suas bagagens, o que é ótimo pois o desembarque pode ser um pouco confuso, já que existe uma feira bem em volta da estação. A cidade é bem pequena então em termos de localização não faz muita diferença, mas é perto do ponto de ônibus para Machu Picchu. O café de manhã é servido às 5 da manhã o que foi bom pois fomos bem cedo para MaPi. Achei bom, mas não excepcional, pelo preço esperava um pouco mais. Mesmo tendo sido bom, no geral achei baixo custo benefício, provavelmente não ficaria novamente.

There was nothing we did not enjoy about our stay. The staff was supportive and considerate at each and every moment. They went out of their way to help us feel like we belonged. They assisted us with luggage, with our excursions, and with our general questions. We cannot say enough how much we appreciated the entire Sumaq staff. The facilities were clean and easy to use. The breakfast was delicious and the wait staff was consistently available to satisfy any and all of our needs. Not only would we love to come back for another visit, but we will be sure to recommend this hotel to all of our friends and family. Outstanding job!

Machu Picchu ist traumhaft. Das Hotel liegt dafür sehr günstig. Essen war okay, aber nicht überragend. Das Zimmer war trotz Ende Mai recht kalt, weil u.a. die Balkontür nicht wirklich dicht ist. Damit hört man auch sehr viel von draußen. Ansonsten aber sauber und gutes Zimmer.
Machu Picchu ist traumhaft. Das Hotel liegt dafür sehr günstig. Essen war okay, aber nicht überragend. Das Zimmer war trotz Ende Mai recht kalt, weil u.a. die Balkontür nicht wirklich dicht ist. Damit hört man auch sehr viel von draußen. Ansonsten aber sauber und gutes Zimmer.

After doing el Camino Del Inka this was a great choice. Aguas calientes is a very little town. The bathroom was great with Loccitane toiletries. Very clean and comfortable.

Really nice hotel. Rooms were nice but nothing special. Overpriced given other hotels we have stayed at this trip that exceeded expectations. The food was the best part which is fully included with the huge price. Our server Ingrit was awesome. Breakfast was a Godsend we packed an to go box for 5am sunset trip to Machu Picchu and then came back for full breakfast around 9am. The ability to have the Machu Picchu bus driver drop us off right outside the hotel was huge bonus given the rain on our descent. Don’t under estimate the sound of the raging river at night. Sound was at first calming but at night was a bit overwhelming. Several loud party people on the street made it seem a bit more unsafe to have our balcony windows open or not lockable. Didn’t over shadow the most amazing visit though-overall great.

Amazing hotel . From the moment that you arrive you get greeted with a drink, luggage was picked up from the train station, rooms are spacious and bright with beautiful Mountain View’s. Breakfast is amazing , lots to choose from. Highly recommend 10/10

It's often hard to review a stay when you've only had the pleasure of staying one night, however there were definitely some stand out points which made Sumaq worthy of its rating. Firstly staff are lovely, and as we arrived on the earlier train into Aguas Calientes they offered us an early check-in, greatly appreciated. The room itself, is as expected when basically sleeping riverside, you'll hear the river as if white noise the entire night, I Loved it, others might not. Amenities wise, some of the best we had, and L'Occitane products were LUSH! The bed itself felt a little damp, however this might be normal considering the climate in the area, We still had a great sleep regardless, and woke up fresh and ready to take on Machu pichhu! Our package was Half board and included dinner, DELICIOUS! Honestly, we polished all three courses off and although we didn't go for traditional Peruvian food (the options were there) it was hands down some of the best food we had throughout our time in the country. So this set the tone and we were very excited for breakfast the next morning, to our disappointment this wasn't up to par... Very few options, and everything just fell a bit flat here. We would probably skip this unless you're content with cereal and some coffee. Overall however our stay was lovely, and we'd definitely recommend Sumaq when visiting Aguas Calientes and Machu Pichhu.. Even if just for the dinner!

Nunca nos dieron nuestras bebidas de cortesía y ni nos informaron de cuando las podíamos tomarlas, es un hotel muy caro para el nivel del hotel no tiene aire acondicionado y la televisión no sirve en los días que estuvimos ahí no pudimos ver ni noticias ni nada de televisión. Y los alimentos están más o menos no para el precio. La recepcionista no brinda información y nos da lo que teníamos derecho y tampoco me solucionó lo del aire ni lo de la televisión ni un ventilador nos llevaron.
Nunca nos dieron nuestras bebidas de cortesía y ni nos informaron de cuando las podíamos tomarlas, es un hotel muy caro para el nivel del hotel no tiene aire acondicionado y la televisión no sirve en los días que estuvimos ahí no pudimos ver ni noticias ni nada de televisión. Y los alimentos están más o menos no para el precio. La recepcionista no brinda información y nos da lo que teníamos derecho y tampoco me solucionó lo del aire ni lo de la televisión ni un ventilador nos llevaron.

Everything was nice, hotel was clean and comfortable. The only thing I didn't like was that the boss or administrator did not want to lend an umbrella to our guide in that torrential rain, even though we told him that we would give him an umbrella the next day, he left and arrived at his hotel wet.

After our day, walking through Machu Picchu, this was a fantastic place to spend the night. The staff met our group at the train station, and took our luggage from us so that we can go straight to the modern wonder. we checked in when we were done seeing the amazing sites, and our bags were already in our room.

Really nice hotel. Rooms were nice but nothing special. Overpriced given other hotels we have stayed at this trip that exceeded expectations. The food was the best part which is fully included with the huge price. Our server Ingrit was awesome. Breakfast was a Godsend we packed an to go box for 5am sunset trip to Machu Picchu and then came back for full breakfast around 9am. The ability to have the Machu Picchu bus driver drop us off right outside the hotel was huge bonus given the rain on our descent. Don’t under estimate the sound of the raging river at night. Sound was at first calming but at night was a bit overwhelming. Several loud party people on the street made it seem a bit more unsafe to have our balcony windows open or not lockable. Didn’t over shadow the most amazing visit though-overall great.

Lindo hotel com quartos com varanda para o rio Urubamba. Não tinha comprado quarto com a vista mas recebi o upgrade, pois estava relativamente vazio o hotel em baixa temporada. Tudo muito limpo e confortável. Um funcionário do hotel te espera na estação de trem para te receber e levar suas bagagens, o que é ótimo pois o desembarque pode ser um pouco confuso, já que existe uma feira bem em volta da estação. A cidade é bem pequena então em termos de localização não faz muita diferença, mas é perto do ponto de ônibus para Machu Picchu. Machu Picchu ist traumhaft. Das Hotel liegt dafür sehr günstig. Essen war okay, aber nicht überragend. Das Zimmer war trotz Ende Mai recht kalt, weil u.a. die Balkontür nicht wirklich dicht ist. Damit hört man auch sehr viel von draußen. Ansonsten aber sauber und gutes Zimmer.

Sitio muy agradable con gran servicio, localización y habitaciones. Lo peor de la estancia fueron dos cosas: Precio excesivo y nos obligaron a coger media pensión (no había otra opción) y el desayuno era tirando a malo… Desayuno de hotel de 3/4*. Buen sitio pero no vale los 425€/noche que pagamos.

It's often hard to review a stay when you've only had the pleasure of staying one night, however there were definitely some stand out points which made Sumaq worthy of its rating. Firstly staff are lovely, and as we arrived on the earlier train into Aguas Calientes they offered us an early check-in, greatly appreciated. The room itself, is as expected when basically sleeping riverside, you'll hear the river as if white noise the entire night, I Loved it, others might not. Amenities wise, some of the best we had, and L'Occitane products were LUSH! The bed itself felt a little damp, however this might be normal considering the climate in the area, We still had a great sleep regardless, and woke up fresh and ready to take on Machu pichhu! Our package was Half board and included dinner, DELICIOUS! Honestly, we polished all three courses off and although we didn't go for traditional Peruvian food (the options were there) it was hands down some of the best food we had throughout our time in the country. So this set the tone and we were very excited for breakfast the next morning, to our disappointment this wasn't up to par... Very few options, and everything just fell a bit flat here. We would probably skip this unless you're content with cereal and some coffee. Overall however our stay was lovely, and we'd definitely recommend Sumaq when visiting Aguas Calientes and Machu Pichhu.. Even if just for the dinner!
