HYPERION Hotel Garmisch - Partenkirchen

Lovely place to stay just a short stroll from the ski slopes and cafes/shops. Lovely staff and nice pool and sauna.

Great hotel in the centre of Garmisch. 5 mins walk to main shopping and restaurant areas. Amazing views of Germany’s highest mountain, the Zugspitze, directly from our room. Good little indoor pool. Very friendly staff, wearing traditional dress. Bar prices quite reasonable. Half board has good breakfast buffet and three main meal choices (meat, fish, veg) soup dessert. Free minibar is true - you get beer and soft drinks most days. Parking very easy - €12 per day. The whole place feels small and relaxed - not a grand hotel but wholesome and high quality.

Das Hyperion Hotel ist ein modernisiertes Hotel mit der ein oder anderen in die Jahre gekommenen Ecke. Das Zimmer war sehr groß mit kleinem Terrassenbereich und die Fenster konnte man super durch den Rollo auch tagsüber verdunkeln (mit kleinem Kind Gold wert). Im Großen und Ganzen war es auch sauber, man hat nur einige Spinnenweben in den Ecken gehabt und leider auch etwas Schimmel über dem Duschbereich. Das Schwimmbad war leider sehr klein und vor allem kalt. Außerdem war gerade der Poolbereich wohl nicht modernisiert worden. Positiv war hierbei jedoch die Bereitstellung von Bademänteln und ausgiebig Handtüchern. Es gab auch eine Tiefgarage, in der man für 12€/Nacht parken konnte. Außerdem lag es wirklich nah an der Fußgängerzone (5 Min). Anschließend ist noch das Frühstücksbuffet zu nennen, das wirklich reichhaltig und auch sehr lecker war. Ebenso das Abendessen a la carte war ausgezeichnet! Fazit: Für Übernachtung mit Frühstück eignet sich das Hotel hervorragend. Wenn man allerdings mit Kind auch ein bisschen Action im Schwimmbad möchte, muss man entweder in ein öffentliches Schwimmbad fahren oder ein anderes Hotel buchen.

Super Unterkunft mit sehr freundlichem Personal und super Halbpension. 3 Gänge Menü war hervorragend. Pool war mir persönlich zu warm aber den Kindern hat es gepasst. Kommen gerne wieder.

Great hotel to stay in, very clean and staff very helpful. We only ate breakfast on the last morning of our stay but I’d highly recommend it to all guests as it had a great buffet selection to choose from. Swimming pool was a great way to relax after our daily hiking, I only wish the sauna was open from 3pm instead of 5pm. Staying in the hotel you receive a Garmisch pass which allows access to the local buses for free. We really enjoyed our stay in the hotel and Garmisch is a lovely spot to visit, so much to do and see.

The facilities like small indoor pool, sauna and steam room were good. I stayed in a deluxe room 130 and there was lots of room and a large king sized bed. Aircon was good. Good view over rooftops to mountains. Breakfast was very good. Reception and dining staff were very nice and helpful.

Sehr schönes Hotel mit tollem Frühstück und gutem Service. Danke an alle an der Rezeption. Die Zimmer ( wir hatten drei) waren sehr schön und großzügig. Die Betten fantastisch. Der Wellnessbereich ist etwas veraltet. Aber egal, man konnte in der Sauna/ Dampfsauna entspannen und ab 7 Uhr früh im warmen Wasser (30/31 Grad) schwimmen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. In den Ort zu den Lokalen/Restaurants 2-5 Minuten zu Fuß.

Bra frukost. Sköna sängar. Trevligt med gratis minibar. Oväntat god mat som ingick i halvpensionen. Skön värme i poolen.

Der Aufenthalt insgesamt war in Ordnung aber leider auch nicht mehr. Das Personal an der Rezeption war sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Im Restaurant war der Service leider im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes nur bemüht. Nach der Bestellung einer Flasche Wein aus der Getränkekarte musste erst länger gesucht werden, ob dieser Wein überhaupt vorrätig war. Das man beim Servieren eines Flaschenweins dem Gast zuerst einen Probeschluck anbietet, schien dem Persona auch neu zu sein. Die Speisekarte war sehr dürftig und der servierte Zwiebelrostbraten leider auch nicht von besonderer Qualität. Absolut negativ fiel der Service an der Bar auf. Am ersten Abend wurden wir zwar bedient, doch verschwand der Barkeeper immer wieder für längere Zeit. Am zweiten Abend wurde uns dann um 21:45 bei Eintreffen mitgeteilt, dass es keine Cocktails mehr gäbe, da man bereits sauber gemacht hätte. Die Baröffnungszeit war bis 23:30 angegeben und es saßen auch noch andere Gäste dort. Im ansonsten angenehmen Wellnessbereich fiel unangenehm auf, dass um 9:00 morgens noch der Reinigungsroboter im Pool unterwegs war. Bei Poolöffnung ab 7:00 sind wir davon ausgegangen, dass die Reinigung bis dahin erfolgt ist.

Great place to stay. Stuff is very helpful, rooms are very nice, clean and cozy. Bonus - fitness room, sauna, swimming pool to relax after a skiing day. Close to ski slopes with ski rentals shop across the road, giving discount to the hotel guests.

A liitle worn down--the carpets, chairs in dining area. The bees disturb eating.

This hotel had the best breakfast that we had on our trip. The rooms were spacious, nice and clean and quiet. We enjoyed our stay.

Shower drain was not working properly. 10 seconds of using the showers and it is already flooded. Informed the hotel staff and nothing can be done as the hotel is at full capacity. Had to take 6 towels to try and soak up the overflowing water and its not too successful. Horrifying experience for our honeymoon

Die allgemeinen Teile des Hotel (Gänge, Pool) bedürfen der Übersbeitung, sie wirken in die Jahre gekommen und ungepflegt (zB Teppiche)

Room was large and clean. The outdoor deck was perfect to watch the sunset.

Insgesamt sehr erfreulich, mit kleinen Schwächen beim Service. Der Check-in war sprachlich ein bischen holprig aber freundlich. Wir hatten ein Zimmerupgrade auf ein Superiorzimmer mit Terrasse bekommen, was wesentlich grösser war als das gebuchte Standarddoppelzimmer. Die Sonne stand so, dass man leider sofort sah, dass die Fenster länger nicht geputzt worden waren. In der kostenlosen Minibar mit verschiedenen Getränken und Snacks fanden wir eine angetrunkene Bierflasche (wiederverschlossene Bügelflasche), was dem Zimmerservice wohl entgangen war. Zimmer und Bad waren aber sehr sauber und modern. Sauber waren auch Fitnessraum und Pool. Richtig toll war morgens dann das Frühstück.

Great location for visiting area. City center a few minutes away with shopping and plenty of restaurants. Balcony was nice to have to look out over the mountains.

We had an amazing room with a beautiful view of the mountains, and the room was very comfortable. The only minor suggestion was having cell phone chargers as otherwise you need a German power adapter is coming from the US. Highly recommend this property!

Great, clean hotel with a lovely breakfast that has a lot of variety. Fruit selection is awesome and it's really nice that they cut up the oranges and grapefruit for you, makes it much easier to eat. Room had strong AC which was definitely needed in the summer heat. Staff was very friendly too.

The hotel was quite close to the ski equipment rental shop and about a 20 minute walk to the bottom of the Classic ski area. I found it to be quite expensive relative to other similar hotels where I had stayed however. Our room was also located right next to the children's play area so it was noisy at times; sometimes there were children playing at 11 pm!

As an American, we specifically stay here every time we are in Garmisch! A little spendy, but well worth the splurge. The breakfast is outstanding and keeps us coming back. The rooms have air con, comfortable, and are well appointed with great views! 10/10. Additionally, the staff is wonderful and attentive. A very welcoming place to stay.

The hotel was nice overall. The customer service and staff attentiveness were excellent; however, when we were there, they were experiencing a heatwave. The air conditioning was nonexistent. The room was extremely hot, making it impossible for us to sleep, and during the day, we couldn't stay in the room. It was just uncomfortable. It's not necessarily their fault, but they just kept telling us that the air conditioner was broken. We found out that there isn't an air conditioner! I'm sure the stay would have been more pleasant if it were cooler! Note that the provided pillows are very thin. If they don't work for you, ask the desk for a different pillow type. We discovered they had different pillows available as we were checking out. LOL!

Room was large with a nice balcony. Shower and bath were very small and cramped though. Front desk staff were super helpful and friendly.

Great hotel overall. Loved the location, property, facilities/amenities, room and continental breakfast. Staff were excellent too! Just wish our shower was larger - so small in comparison to room size and when compared with other rooms we saw.

The hotel is in a wonderful location for pretty well everything including the train station to zugspitze and the ski jumping, the old town and local area as well as wonderful walks in the mountains. The hotel serves lovely breakfast and the restaurant staff were friendly . Sadly I felt the staff on reception and doing the rooms seemed unhappy or at least they didn’t engage openly with hotel patrons unlike other hotels we stayed in on this trip. I was initially asked for feedback on checkin by Expedia and i gave it a middle score because when we arrived we were told we could not eat in the restaurant for that day or the next because of new year - no smiles no welcome - and when we got to the room there was a toilet brush down the toilet and what seemed like incomplete room finishing . Because of this feedback Expedia must have sent it straight to the hotel with our room number as they asked me about it and apologised kindly leaving a note and Prosecco in our room which was lovely. We had the most beautiful view of the mountains from our room balcony which was a big plus. They were very busy over new year and perhaps this is why staff seemed less welcoming in the main areas of the hotel on frequent occasions the staff would get in the lifts to get around the hotel while guests were waiting (just a small but effective lift) - including who I assumed was the manager . Our room was frequently short of various basics like tissues, toilet rolls, bath mats - must be new year!

This was a lovely stay and I am really glad I booked it. Wonderful from start to finish. My only comment would be for the front desk staff. There was a shorter dark haired lady at reception who is super loud when talking to guests. At times I noted her being quite curt/rude with guests who were trying to asks questions and get clarification. She was also quite rude and loud to me as well when I was asking her some questions. Quite embarrassing. Quite honestly in my experiences with her she talks down to guests like they are stupid. She is a bad look for such a wonderful hotel. It she doesn’t like dealing with questions from guests perhaps she should find another job. All other staff were amazing and helpful.

The staff was attentive and friendly. This property is exceptionally clean and comfortable. Right in the middle of Garmisch for convenient access to the train station and shops around town.

This hotel is very conveniently located, walking distance from the train station, and walking distance to shopping and dining options in this very nice town. The hotel rooms were not large, but were clean and very nicely appointed with features. The breakfast served at the restaurant was quite good. The best part of the hotel was the staff. Everyone, including desk clerks, restaurant staff, and bartenders, were quite professional, helpful, and friendly.

Excellent and very hospitable staff going above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Delicious breakfast options with indoor and beautiful outdoor seating. Rooms were very comfortable with AC.

Imon at check in was wonderful. We ask his opinion on several options for dinner. He called a made a reservation for us. We were even afforded umbrellas since it was raining. Imon made our stay a little better. A wonderful employee!

Great location for seeing area attractions. Also nice local restaurants with easy walking distance. The service and staff were excellent. I really enjoyed the morning breakfast that is complementary. They even had gluten free bread to accommodate my gluten allergy.

Staff is wonderful, food is delicious

breakfast was a good verity of hot or cold , with meat or not, fine breads and pastries, hot coffee on tap, fresh fruit every morning, different cereals, lots of juices.

Das zugewiesene Zimmer lag direkt über der Küche - Lärm ab 05:00 morgens und den ganzen Tag Geruchsbelästigung. Zimmer an sich in Ordnung. Minuspunkte für die komplette Gastronomie: Frühstück aus Convenienceware in maximal mittelmäßiger Qualität, das Abendessen in der Halbpension ein Totalausfall - geschmacklos und aus schlechter Convenienceware. Wir sind auswärts essen gegangen.

I loved this place,I have really enjoyed my stay here,great facilities and one of the most amazing breakfast I have ever had in a hotel.I would like definitely to come back. Unfortunately I can’t give 5 stars because we had a bad experience with the dinner on the first night.We ordered a three course menu,the soup wasn’t warm enough,the salmon was burnt on the skin but not well cooked inside,we skipped the dessert because of the disappointment and still had to pay the full price for the menu. The chef came to talk to us since we complained with the waiter,he only said why didn’t you send the food back then?Well,we didn’t do because we were afraid of a revenge on the meals later.Anyway apart from this episode (maybe we just had bad luck that day!)our experience was definitely great.

Von unserem Zimmer aus hatte man einen herrlichen Blick auf die Berge. Das Zimmer selbst war super und groß genug für 3 Personen. Alles was man brauchte war vorhanden. Ein kleiner Kaffeeautomat mit Tabs und Wasserkocher mit einer kleinen Teeauswahl war im Zimmer vorhanden. Pflegeprodukte von Shampoo bis Nagelpfeilenset waren im Badezimmer vorhanden. Das Frühstück war vielfältig jedoch zu bemängeln wäre lediglich, dass die Eierspeisen in Wärmebehälter aufbewahrt werden und nicht frisch zubereitet wurden. Eine nette Abwechslung und zu erwähnen wäre noch der Innenpool mit einer Wassertemperatur von ca. 36 Grad.
