Fairfield Inn & Suites Lake City

Booked prior to reading fine print, they charged an additional $75 for small pet at check in as a cleaning fee (as if they would have to do some professional cleaning). Way too much to charge for this, $75 was 75% of a stand alone room. The room they put us in stunk like cleaning Clorox so bad that we had to change rooms. Overall this was a step down from

The only negative was the construction to replace flooring on our floor which restricted some access. But the staff was very accommodating.

No mention that this property was under construction, lobby was closed, cement bags in front of the elevators, elevators not working, roofing frames on the parking lot. This hotel should not be taking guests!

It will be great after the renovations are done! We experienced some construction noise, but didn't bother us much. The staff was amazing. We were late for breakfast and Pam gave us some food to bring to our room and the front desk let us check out later.

They have a beautiful hotel. The entire first floor is under renovations.

We left a day early due conditions at the hotel, which is under renovation. While we were willing to tolerate the negative appearance, The property had at least 9 smoke detectors covered in plastic, located on the main floor in the lobby, dining area, hallways, & workout room. Front desk said smoke detectors. One of the two stairwells is closed with blue tape & plastic. I contacted the county Fire Chief. He confirmed that “no, they should not be covered.” Front Desk Manager replied: "Dear (incorrect name) Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your experience while staying with us. Your experience is below our standard. we would like to add that in order to prevent any inconvenience to our guests and avoid false fire alarms caused by construction dust, we are following protocols set by the local fire department. As part of these safety measures, hotel staff is conducting regular inspections of the lobby every 15 minutes to ensure everything remains in order. Our county fire marshal has approved our procedure and we will continue to work with them as we continue the finalization of the property renovations. Providing the highest level of hospitality is our number one priority and I sincerely apologize for failing to meet your expectations. I have shared your feedback with the leadership team to ensure the necessary guidelines are in place and reviewed." Check the pictures to see what you think.

The hotel is pet friendly, but they charged an additional $75 for your pet whether you are there for one night of one week..........too much!

When I booked the room it stated it was pet friendly but no where did it mention any fee associated with a pet. I get here and they charged 75 dollars for one pet. I would have canceled and went somewhere else but my ticket was non refundable. Why didn’t the site state the additional fee. I was shocked and it caused terrible stress. Probably will not stay at a Fairfield again. I have been staying at Fairfield’s for years before I had my pup not anymore

We said just as a mid stop to our final destination, and I would not stay for the price again. One bad had a hair on the sheet and pillow so that's a deal breaker for us.

People at front desk were on computers and all but 2 during our 4 day stay had to be told excuse me to get their attention after standing there for 3-5 min. Breakfast was pretty good. Mattress covers old with pulls on them. Room smelled like stale smoke upon entering. There were dogs everywhere; seems like animals and smoking if even allowed would be one one floor instead of everyone having to put up with it. We have allergies and husband has asthma, so we can’t come back. Also, cookies were hard and lemon water had no ice in it. I stay at a lot of hotels during a year, but I was really disappointed and cannot give a good review.

Enjoyed our stay in Lake City. The Fairfield Inn is very nice. Very nice bathrooms and everything in our room was in good order.

Wonderful staff and spacious, clean room. Very comfortable beds and large bathroom. Naomi at the front desk was exceptional. I highly recommend this hotel.

Great experience overall but the lady taking care of the breakfast area was absolutely outstanding. She engaged customers, asked for feedback from them, and demos a level of customer service rarely seen in that area of most hotels.

Hotel was okay. I should have read closer it was a pet friendly hotel. Got a couple stained pillows. Breakfast was just ok. It was fine to sleep on after a long day of driving. But I’d probably stay in another hotel next time.
