For the price the rooms could use an upgrade spefically to the bathrooms you also have to pay $20 to get in and then when you arrive you have to pay an incidental hold deposit plus a resort fee that they keep from the deposit and the elevators are very slow only one elevator was working the other two was out of order the one elevator that was working is small and buttons were missing

Beautiful building and grounds. Understaffed. Check-in was terrible. And this wasnt the first time. Have stayed here twice this year and Check-in is a cluster. But worse than that, water for the shower was lukewarm at best. Will not stay here again

The head board on the bed was coming off. The rooms needed updating. The chairs by the pool was torn. The pool water was dirty. It needs alot of work in the out door pool area. Also the balcony had spiders web all on it. It hasnt been cleaned. It really needs some work to the whole place. You walk in and it has a very musty smell And they charge you for resort price when they didnt do anything for me to pay them resort price. Im very disappointed

“Heated” pools both indoor and outdoor were miserably cold on multiple days we tried to use. Other guests complained to us they felt the same way that it was not actually heated. If you tell your guests your pools are heated, you should live up to that. The restaurants were very good and the staff was very courteous. We did not have cleaning services and had to ask for additional towels though we only stayed for two nights so this is likely standard. Be aware of the “resort” fees on top of the actual room fees.

We loved the hotel. There are food options available so we didn't have to leave which is great! Kid friendly environment. Bar at the pool area. Super close to the activities at stone mountain! ***Only thing they need to fix is the elevators! There are 4 of them but only one was working the whole stay. And that one was dangerous, someone tried to hop in before the door closed all the way and his shoe got caught in the elevator, while another man was trying to pry the door open. The doors do not pop back open as they should. Thank God he got his foot out. Needless to say my kids were terrified after seeing that and we used the stairs the remainder of the stay.

We had to switch rooms because the bed bad stains on it along with little block spots also the door had white stuff all over it. We then switch rooms, the refrigerator didn’t work the was mold in the bathroom and ceiling. Also the bed again had spots on it. Also the restaurants weren’t open when they were supposed to. Then at checkout I had to laugh $130 some dollars for a resort fee. When I prepaid for my stay makes no sense.

Where to start. The first night i got to my room late and saw a roach the size of my thumb crawling on my bed. Had to chase it around the room to kill it and the joker was fast. Didn't really out a a fuss because its the south and I'm from Mississippi so i do remember seeing roaches that big, but to pay 120 a night they need to do better pest control. The next day no-one came to services my room so i went to the first desk yo figure out whats going. I also mentioned the roach and it didn't even phase her. She told me they clean the rooms every other day, but for 120 a night I think my room should be services everyday. She asked me what I need and I told her towels ans tissue, buy she expected me to take them to my room myself. Again why am I paying 120 a night. Not only that they didn't clean my room until 1pm the following day. I wont be back here every again. Also it was only 1 working elevator

Fair. Who goes on vacation to get room service every other day…you may as well stay home. Balcony was dirty…needs power washing. No phone in my sister’s room…she had to ask me to call the front desk. Saw 2 roaches…2 too many.

The rooms very spacious with a balcony with a view of the lake. However; there was no microwave in the rooms. This was disappointing. I had to go to the lobby to use the one they had. The breakfast buffet was delicious. Hiking trail was beautiful and scenic. Small fitness room. 2 out if 3 treadmills out of order. Starbucks machine broken. Only regular coffee. Too many taxes on everything. Georgia tax; bed tax, tax on restaurant food, resort tax. I was completely taxed out. $190 for 2 days. Will I go back? NO!!

The shower in our bedroom could not be turned all the way up without the pipes in the walls, rattling loud. There was an odd noise when water drained from the sink. The little dresser, footstool gizmo was busted on the top and the back. And when we moved it to fix it a previous Room occupants trash was still behind there showing that the room was not properly cleaned. There was rust in the shower area.

The room was clean. It was visible that the hotel is an older hotel. The balcony area needs some serious TLC. We would like to have sit out there but it didn’t seem clean or nice. Chairs were old. Staff were extra friendly. The upstairs dining area seemed slow and rarely did anyone complete courtesy checks. Both times we were ready to leave and it took an extended amount of time to receive our bill and for them to follow up to get it. It could’ve been the culture of the place. No one was in a hurry to do anything whatsoever. They were polite and the food was good. Elevators definitely need updating. Lobby area was really nice. The most disappointing factor was the TV not being a smart TV and channels were extremely limited. Don’t expect to relax in your room and have a movie night. There’s no Netflix or any streaming service available and the internet was extremely poor. Channels that were available did not have anything good on. Overall, it wasn’t bad. It was different. We did enjoy thinking and enjoyed the pumpkin festival. Am I glad we stayed? Yes but a few improvements can’t hurt.

We loved the hotel and the beauty of the area but didn't understand that it was actually located inside Stone Mountain Park where you have to pay $20 a vehicle to enter to get to the hotel! One of the amenities that Expedia said that was available at this property under the entertainment section was Netflix, but there was no Netflix available during our stay which was one of the reasons we chose this property!

The property is nice, but get your walking shoes on. The hallways from the elevators to the rooms are LONG.. We were also in a room with no air, and received a 6 AM wake-up call that we DID NOT ask to receive. Too expensive for the quality of accommodations.

We ended up leaving a motel in town due to unsafe conditions and reserving Evergreen last minute. The room was clean but felt damp and temperature not well controlled. The tub did not drain properly which made taking showers for 4 people a challenge. Be aware of the sur charges! The hold put on your card at the property will not be refunded!! A $42.50 property fee is assessed nightly and is not disclosed when booking. Also the $20 parking and entrance fee is not disclosed when booking. Overall, the confidence of a safe location with children is worth the expense, but know that the charges for this property are more than they appear and the accomodations are not perfect.

The property itself wasn’t bad. When we arrived at the hotel it was 3:30, there were about 5 guests in front of us. Check in time was supposed to be at 4, so we knew we were a little early. The line was taking forever with 3 people working. We didn’t get to the check- in desk until 3:50 and were told our room wasn’t ready yet and to give them until 4 to get it finished. The gentleman let me know he would keep following up with house keeping and get us in our room as soon as possible. We sat in the lobby and watched chaos unfold. There were about 30 people in line to check in at this point. We kept checking in every 20 minutes and finally at about 5, the front desk guy went to our room himself to see if it was ready. When he came back he let us know our room was almost ready and we could go ahead and head that way. I would say in the hour we sat and watched about 5 people got helped and the line just kept getting longer. I don’t know what the problem is here, but it really needs to be addressed. A women passed by and let us know it took them 2.5 hours to get checked in the day before. Management needs to figure out how to get this place under control.

The hotel left much to be desired. There is very little ambiance around the property. From the moment you enter, check-in took 50 minutes to get through. The staff wasn’t particularly accommodating or helpful. Some of our parties rooms were not ready yet after waiting in the 50 minute line. Dining on site was limited or non existent. We tried visiting the hotels main dining and they told us to come back in 20-30 min because they were short staffed. Tavern was take out only and not accommodating sit down. The bathrooms were not replenished in the main areas. Limited trashcans. Our room was never serviced in the 3 days we were there and we didn’t have towels upon arrival. Their “pantry” was bare and water was never replenished. The pools were over chlorinated, and filled trash and dead bugs. Only positives were a discount to Stone Mountain tickets and the park views. Overall super disappointed with our experience.

Not sure what was going on with their check in process but it was an absolute DISASTER!!!! Only got worse as time passed. On Saturday evening there were over 100 people standing in line trying to check in. Our room was not even serviced by house keeping. Will NEVER stay here again and do not recommend to anyone else! Management should be fired at this property.

AC wasn’t working in our room and when we asked the front desk if we could switch rooms or if someone could come fix it they said “we’ll come take a look in a second.” No one ever came. Elevators are missing buttons and are pretty slow. And non of the restaurants were open in the hotel because of a buyout. That would’ve been nice to know. Should be on the website. And when we checked in there was an 80 dollar hold that they said we would get all of it back, when we checked out they told us they keep 40 bucks of that. I’m pretty disappointed all things considered. You spend $200 to get a nice hotel and you expect a nice hotel.

Upon check-in staff was rude, told me they couldn’t see my reservations and told me to go wait in the lobby when it was already two hours past check in time. I was tired and looking forward to rest in the room, I waited one hour in the lobby and nobody came to get me so I ended up going to a different employee, which gave me a downgrade room, completely terrible staff and organization will never stay there again.

Nice to stay within the park. Easy walk to trails. Wasn’t aware that we needed to pay the $20 entry fee to get to the hotel. We were provided a pass for the rest of our time there. Beds were comfortable.

The location is stunning but the hotel is old fashioned and tired looking. Several restaurants on site but all had the same menu and there was nowhere within walking distance. There was no hot water for several hours after we arrived. Food staff were great but reception staff were unhelpful, inefficient and definitely need to think about smiling occasionally. Its a shame to write anything negative when it absolutely could be a great hotel. Its less than 30 mins from the airport and the scenery is spectacular.

My family and I stayed here for 3 nights in April and we loved it! The property is in the middle of a state park and is absolutely gorgeous! The rooms are modern and inviting and the lake view rooms are nice for watching the sunrise. The staff was amazing at every interaction we had. Definitely staying here again when we come back

We met friends there and paid for our rider to enter the park. There is no shuttle, Uber or lyft service available. If you need transportation you have to pay for share riders to come into the park so that is OUT. This is the main reason I would not go back to this site. Also I booked through hotel.com and could not get a receipt at hotel to check additional fees I paid at hotel. Restaurant was under staffed and waited for an hour to get food at breakfast.

Beautiful location within Stone Mountain Park. Our room was lakefront and offered a gorgeous sunrise on the quiet outdoor balcony. The property itself does not feel like a resort although it is in a resort setting. Much more decor is needed in the lobby & throughout the extensive common spaces/hallways to make your feel welcome and to make this feel like a resort once again. The rooms have been updated within the past few years but more ambiance is needed to make your stay feel luxurious. Staff is efficient but do not make you feel welcome. There is more to making a traveler feel like they have made a good choice in lodging other than saying welcome & hello without truly meaning those words. More information on the Park is needed for folks regarding food & activities. The pamphlet provided by Stone Mountain is okay but not a comprehensive list of options just outside the park entrances. Stone Mountain feels deserted, even on the Thursday before Labor Day weekend. Desolate parking lots & not great signage. Less than helpful/welcoming staff at the Skyline Tram Gift Shop. The park itself is beautiful but the attractions feel a little dated & worn out. Hotel could be magnificent, it just needs some more pizzaz! Restaurant within the resort has a very limited & expensive menu. Would stay again for the view from the room but not much else makes me want to return.

We waited over one hour to get takeout at the Tavern. After all that, the cheeseburgers were raw. We were able to get a refund easily. The beds were extremely comfortable. The staff were friendly. We would definitely stay again, and figure out different dining.

The views were stunning! There are lots of activities to partake in nature, kayaking, canoeing, stand up board, hiking; oh so many amazing trails! I also enjoyed the attractions around the properly. They offer a discounted ticket at the lobby; don't miss out! The staff was friendly and very helpful. However, the restaurant inside the hotel was basically mediocre and expensive fast food. Unfortunately, the closest restaurants are at least 10 min away. I would stay there again in a heartbeat but I would be better prepared for meals time.

Our family has stayed at this location multiple times through the years. Our overall stay was wonderful and that place is beautiful. We were, however, shocked by the lack of choices for dining opportunities in the evening on site at the Evergreen. We checked in at about 7:30 PM on Friday and the tavern downstairs was full of people, most of them waiting for a server to even acknowledge them. We sat ourselves because there was no one around and we literally waited for someone to even notice us for 45 minutes and then we just got up and left. We would’ve thought that there would be more opportunities for climbing on a Friday evening at a resort of this quality. We were not the only patrons who were ignored at the tavern downstairs that evening. We went upstairs to the more formal dining area, and they were open and had some patrons but not many, but we were told it would be a 20 to 30 minute wait. When we ask if we could get takeout, they told us no. We were relegated to driving offsite into the town of Stone Mountain to get food on Friday evening. It was very disappointing. .

We had a wonderful stay! Check-in was fast, the lady at the front desk was very helpful. Our room was nice and clean. The waterside restaurant was fantastic. Small menu, but the food was delicious and the service was great! No complaints! We will definitely stay here again!

Staff was mostly very nice. Facilities were nice. The buffet in the Tavern was pretty bad and not work the price. Also adding an automatic tip for servers takes away all incentive for them to be nice or helpful.

The hotel is in a beautiful location and inside Stone Mountain Park. There were great nature trails close by. The hotel was nice, quiet and peaceful. There was an unexpected resort fee charged to us since we had used a 3rd party to book the rooms, which would have been nice to know before hand.
