The Inn at Stone Mountain Park

Check in lady was super nice but the room the refrigerator didn't work there was no coffee cups there was no sugar it just really lacked.. no one was in the hotel the pool was closed memorial Day weekend and I'm sure they could have been a little more efficient no restaurant either.

I was fooled by the images on the Expedia website. They were not current or accurate. The pool wasn't open. The pub/bar/restaurant was closed. The ac unit in the room squealed at a high pitch while running. Although the sheets were clean, the beds were old. A light bulb was out in the ceiling fan. I was embarrassed to have made a reaervation here for my family. We didn't even stay. Shortly after checking in, we made the decision to leave. The young lady at the desk was kind and helpful so that helped.

I paid extra for pool view, the pool was green and couldnt swim. Restaurant was closed up. Was referred to "sister hotel" at other end of park for pool and food. Had to have keycard reset 3 times in 2 day stay. Very little tiolet paper in room upon check in. Had to request clean towels 2nd day. Room had cofee sugar and cream but no cups.

Got to room and had to ask for refund within 30 minutes of arrival, lady at desk was very nice and said she understood.. the inn looks nothing like the pictures. They do not have a pool or restaurant and is very under staffed.

My AC was broken and it was 90 degrees in the room. No one came to fix it and the guy at the front desk just shrugged and said sorry, we’re all booked I can’t switch your rooms. Absolutely horrid experience at this property. Plus the pool and the restaurant were closed and the balcony was so dirty we didn’t even enjoy it. DO NOT STAY HERE

We booked here because the main hotel at Stone Mountain was sold out. Even though it was a holiday weekend, the Inn felt like a ghost town. There was nobody staying there. The place is in terrible shape. The AC quit in the first room we were given so we moved. Room was somewhat dirty. There was stuff on the floor (old candy?). Paint was peeling. There was a dead roach in the bathroom. The grounds and pool are rundown. Ice machines didn't work. The rooms are large, but the space is not needed for anything. The entire place is rundown. It should be torn down or given a major refurbishment.

The limited staff did the best they could in this neglected property. Restaurant and bar were closed. Pool is permanently closed. Rooms were clean, but it looks the hotel does not stay open on a regular basis. Seems to operate as an overflow hotel for the Evergreen Resort.

It was a nice comfortable place to stay . The room was clean and was a very big room I was supposed to have a king suite but was given a upgrade so they said a room with 2 double beds . No WIFI although the hotels .com site listed it the pool was a mild shade of green . It was very convenient to the activities at Stone Mountain and they also gave a pass so you didn't have to pay to enter the park each time just the initial entry . The whole place needed a make over but all in all it was an OK place to stay for a couple days .

This is a very old and sad resort. It looked deserted and almost abandoned when we pulled in. Pictures had shown rocking chairs on each rooms small patio. But even though the hotel was much less than 1/2 full we had a room with no chairs & a broken handle on the porch door. There was dust everywhere & brownish water in the toilet. The only reason we didn’t leave was we happened to see another couple around our age getting out of their car on the other side of the hotel. So we felt somewhat better about staying, thinking that if they could handle it we could. We did see a family in the pool and hear them playing on the basketball court so that also reassured us we weren’t alone in this run down place. The room was very large and you could see how beautiful it once was but not anymore. There are no vending machines, we had to drive a few miles down the highway to get snacks. A Very Very Disappointing experience.

The Inn is run down. Stepping in to the maintenance of rhe Hotel to check in/register you get a distinctive smell of a old damp House smell. The staff is realy nice, but once we stepped in to the room, we found the dresser under the TV was damaged and the drawers where not hung in right. I found a old sugar package next to the bed and the packages next to the coffe maker looked like there where there aince 10years. The duvet hat a rip in it. The bathroom wall paper is coming of the wall in several places as well as the sealing

Pool was green. No cups in room for coffee or anything else. Cobb webs all around the ceiling.

I had reserved three rooms for my family. The staff was very friendly but the rooms definitely need some renovations. The door did not work on one room and had to get moved to another. One room there was an ironing board but no iron. One room had an ironing board but the iron did not work and the refrigerator over froze the drinks. One room the water was brown when it first came on. The beds were however comfortable and clean. The shower was good in the one I stayed in. Moldly like smell when you walk in and the landscaping and lawn not good. Walking distant to the attraction park so that was great! Such a beautiful park. I will say that if they don’t put some money into renovations nobody is going to want to stay here.

First day when arrived was roaches, fan very dusty and smell just like roaches all the room very bad... bathroom thr shower floor feel wear. It's in a good place just need to remodeling and need to be cleaning inside and outside both .

We got an inner room, the hallway leading to our room was dirty and hard to find, the carpet in the room looked like it’s past due to be replaced, wallpaper in the bathroom peeling off

The only saving grace for this property is that it is located on Stone Mountain and provides easy access to the mountain and attractions. Other than that, the hotel was dirty and offers virtually nothing in the way of amenities. I had a similarly bad experience back in 2022, but against my better judgment gave them one more chance. The room was filthy. It looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in weeks, there was a coffee maker but no complimentary coffee packets, the was a used tissue under the bed, roach in the tub, just to mention a few of the issues.

I normally to not express my views on hotels but this particular hotel has the poorest conditions of any hotel that I have stayed. The hotel was extremely dirty, infested with roaches, air condition that was not working, rust around the shower head, external appearance is degraded. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. I strongly recommend that you do not stay at this location.

I went there for Christmas day, and when I went to the room, there were no sheets, pillows had no pillow cases in them, the bathroom was dirty (I have pictures). we were then transferred to another room same thing, no sheets or pillow cases, and the bathroom had pee drops on it, hair on the tub, just nasty. the stair case is so rusty some one is going to fall. it looks old and abandoned. At the end I cancelled it wasn't worth to change a room a third time, for $200.00 bucks I expected better, cleaner, minus the roaches. and I reached out to Travelocity and they wouldn't give me my money back, they told me to try the hotel and then I reached out to the hotel and there is no one you can talk to, I sent a message to through the website and nothing. I just want my money back. This hotel was worse than a $40 a night motel. And my check in was Dec 25 through dec 26 My email say so and somehow Travelocity changed it to Dec 24th, The Inn at Stone Mountain Park, do the right thing and give me my money back.

The room was horrible. The sheets on the bed had holes in them. There was no soap, shampoo or even washcloths in the room. Beside the air conditioner the wall paper was coming off

First the good points: Location was convenient for seeing the drone show in the evening. The room was quite large and we enjoyed the rocking chairs on the balcony. Now the bad points: When we tried to check in around 5pm we were told that our room was not ready due to an issue with housekeeping. They said we would be called when our room was ready, which was about an hour later. Several people were told the same. One woman had been waiting/driving around the park for 2 hours with a cranky toddler in the back seat. Another couple was camped out on the lobby couch waiting. Based on the number of cars in the lot, the hotel appeared to be barely occupied, so I don't understand why there weren't plenty of rooms ready. I will say that the front desk person was friendly and doing her very best to deal with the unhappy guests. The hotel did have a bar, but it was closed. I was told the hotel was opened only for accomodations. And a couple of comments about the drone show (which was the reason we chose to stay there). The show started with a video, which had the bottom half of the video chopped off. Then the drone show only lasted a few minutes due to technical issues. The fireworks were nice. But what was suppose to be a 45 minute show, was only about 15 minutes.

HUGE rooms furnishings old but serviceable. Very lovely quaint hotel . Enjoyed our stay immensely. Only complaints were ice machine did not work but staff brought some down, and zero food on site. No coffee etc except on room. No microwave but we were okay with it all. Would stay here again

The location is the only perk because it’s literally steps away from Stone Mountain. You can buy tickets for $20 for the park & the tram to ride up Stone Mountain at the front desk. The young person at the front desk has no customer service and it could be bc of her inexperience in the hospitality industry. Do not even think to ask for an earlier check in even if the hotel is empty or a better room because the response is No other room available. The remote did not work and the cleaning staff did not know how to work the tv. The room is bare minimum basic no frills. The carpet was full of dog hair and looks like no one ever vacuums. The bed was comfortable the shower has good pressure and coffee in room with large fridge.

This property has definitely gone downhill. You can tell they are not keeping it up to the point of almost embarrassment. The wallpaper was peeling off significantly in the room, two drawers in the dresser were broken and sitting crooked on the track, the furniture in the room appeared to have not been cleaned in sometime, and you could see daylight through the bottom and sides of the door leading into the room. Additionally, the fire extinguisher had been knocked off of the wall on the exterior of the building and just left to lay on the sidewalk. This hotel used to be nice and kept up. Not anymore. Only positive is that it is close to the skylift to the top. I recommend the Marriott or just staying off property versus the Stone Mountain Inn. It almost feels like they are getting ready to close it and are just doing the bare minimum until that happens.

Very easy to access the park. It's an older hotel but nice, clean and large rooms

The property itself was fine. It’s pretty outdated and needs a lot of work…but, the room was HUGE. The beds were comfy. Check-in was smooth, and the location couldn’t have been better. We would definitely stay here again.

We got to the hotel and were told we couldn’t check in yet because the rooms aren’t ready due to lack of staffing. We were supposed to be able to check in at 4:00 and didn’t get our room until 7. We wanted to go to eat and there were super limited options and you had to buy bracelets to even have access to the limited food options. The poor receptionist was so stressed. She was trying to handle upset customers and was there alone to do so. No management there to assist her or come up with solutions, or heck, to help clean rooms. When asked if we got a discount for being held back from checking in she said she couldn’t make that decision. We will be calling and asking. There’s a difference between old and dirty. Yes, the hotel has a charm due to being old. But, ours was dirty. The wall paper coming off the walls. No extra blankets. Ceiling fan was covered in dust. The door to the outside didn’t seal shut. At that point it was a place for us to lay our heads for a night. Would not recommend to others and I am grateful we were only there for one night. For the cost it was not Very accommodating.

Overall good place to stay, it was quiet and we got a good night sleep. Gentlemen up front was extremely nice and helpful. The only thing that I did not like is that their phone is always busy we tried to contact them before departure to make them aware we would be checking in late we tried for days and hotels.com also tried. Thankfully we still had our room but that was an uneasy feeling driving 8 hrs worried we would not have a place to stay. The phone in the room did not work also. Again we tried to communicate with the front desk and was busy. They need better phone service or an email something that us as consumers can communicate with the hotel.

Our stay at the Inn at Stone Mountain Park was a wonderful experience, but note that if you are looking for amenities and perfection, this is not your hotel! For me, it was full of nostalgia from my childhood, going with my grandparents and cousins to the park and staying there. Our room was well-appointed, cool, and clean. My 7 year old loved the little balcony overlooking the pool. The building is old and shows wear in places (like ceilings) but it is steeped in history and couldn't be in a more convenient location directly across from the carving and attractions. The grounds need some attention; there were broken landscaping lights and the pool was a bit tree-littered, but the water was still clear and refreshing. The front desk did all they could to accommodate requests and solve problems for guests (although, I had no issues) despite being somewhat abused by guests who were hot and frustrated. I would definitely return to the Inn.

The front desk personnel went out of their way to make sure my stay was perfect. The room is beautiful and very clean. I would recommend this for anyone visiting Stone Mountain. Thank you.

Stone Mt Park is in sad shape now. We tried several times to book this hotel but were moved to Evergreen due to not enough occupants. Evergreen on a summer day was way less than half full. The park was under construction everywhere. Restaurant in hotel had one cook and one server. He tried real hard but was safe. We were going to stay two nights and they were nice enough to let us cancel the second night.

The room wasn't ready and I had to wait over an hour. I was then given a dirty room. After repeatedly requesting clean sheets, I was treated poorly and told to drive my personal car to pick up clean sheets from a different hotel because the one I was staying at didn't have any. The employee on the phone was incredibly rude about the sheets, as if not understanding why having clean sheets is important in a hotel. The room was dirty, the curtains did not close, and staff was rude. This was an awful experience. I am absolutely flabbergasted that this place is still in business.

Location was perfect to get to the attractions at Stone Mountain Park

Generally a good location. Could use some maintenance on the grounds around the pool, and in the room. Walkable to the memorial area of Stone Mountain and the historic area. Drive to food.

The location for this property is Amazing. Across from the Heart of all the Stone Mountain Activities. Amazing Front Desk Staff. Keep in mind is a Historical Property but very comfortable and convenient. Will come back to stay when visiting this area.

Hotel is right across the street from park! Perfect for no driving

We were in town for the laser show and fall festival. This hotel was right across the street, so we walked to and from the hotel with no problems. It’s sad they didn’t have breakfast, but the convenient of being across the street made it worth it to stay here.

There was no indication that the restaurant was closed when we signed up. They double charged me for what i had already paid for. No bed sheets or blankets for beds no coffee in lobby. Very sad as it is historic site and was falling apart.

We would stay there again because it’s such a convenient location to all the activities at Stone Mountain. However, since the last time we were there, the quality of the hotel has declined. We were sad to see that the restaurant is no longer open. Check-in took a while and the rooms could use some updates. This is a great in and a perfect location, so I hope they are able to make some changes to keep it a nice place to stay.
