Airport Hotel Budapest

We used this hotel for our last night since our plane left super early, and it's very close to the airport. Nice hotel for the price, but the whole building had a bit of a funky smell, and the hot tub and the sauna was not working. Quick shuttle service to the airport, and the espresso machine at the restaurant worked at 4:30am!! We were promised sandwiches to go when we checked in (as breakfast officially starts at 6am, but we had to catch our plane at 4:30), but nothing came of it.

Wir haben eine Nacht hier verbracht und das war völlig in Ordnung. Es ist ein kleines Restaurant enthalten, welches wir aber nicht ausprobiert haben. Frühstück gibt es morgens in Buffet Form. Ob das inklusive ist, war für uns leider nicht ersichtlich noch konnte es auf Nachfrage beantwortet werden. Es gibt einen kostenlosen Shuttlebus zum Flughafen.

24 hr free airport shuttle Staff were friendly and informative

All good! Nice breakfast. Shame the jacuzzi was out of order but overall, it was a great experience.

Brilliant property, really convenient for the airport, we had an early morning flight and they scheduled a shuttle for us at 4am all included in the stay. It was bang on time. Had some good food options as well however restaurant isn’t 24hr, continental started at 4 so we didn’t get any.

Well built, nicely appointed hotel wiith spacious rooms. The restaurant was very good for both breakfast and dinner. Disappointments in the fitness facility which was in the basement and had only a ping pong table, one stationary bike and one elipsis machine. The sauna worked but the jacuzzi did not. From other reviews, it hasn’t worked for years and should be taken off the website.

Hotel had water stains on the ceiling in the bedroom, was not able to access via public transit, and was told that a shuttle would be available to take guests to the airport. After waiting for 40 minutes past the scheduled shuttle pickup, myself and a few other guests finally had to pay for a taxi to the airport. The receptionist kept saying “10 more minutes” for almost an hour.

Wir haben die Telefonnummer über Google Maps gefunden, angerufen und über 30 Minuten in der Hitze gewartet. Haben uns dann ein Taxi genommen.

Wonderful hotel, very clean and comfortable, with friendly staff

Terrible beds and bathrooms had mold in shower. Plus someone had opened up the shampoo wrapper and on floor of the shower. Terrible housekeeping. Very rude reception desk gal at desk.

The floor was wet and it smelled inside. The beds are like toddler beds with very thin mattress. We actually walked out and got a different hotel. Do not stay here. It smelled like fish when we first walked in. When I told the hotel staff (who was very friendly) that I was leaving and the floor was wet - he said "oh, you must have been in room 206, it rained last week and the floor got wet." The curtains had a big hole. There was rolled up carpet and sheetrock outside of our room. I would NOT recommend.

Room was extremely hot, didn’t feel like there was any ventilation, I found it hard to breathe or sleep due to this. Called down to the front desk and basically told that’s the way it is nothing else offered. Only reason worth booking was the convenience of the shuttle.

En general la limpieza bastante deficiente.

Pros - prompt shuttle, friendly and efficient checkin, visibly clean room, new carpet, retro style, free breakfast Cons- pervasive odor throughout lobby, 2nd floor, and inside room. To me, it smelled like smoke damage from a fire, but perhaps it was off-gassing from new carpet. Sewer smell in bathroom. I opened outside door for ventilation but was awoken at 3:51 AM from pot smoke drifting into room. Because of the odors I would not stay here again.

The main room was clean where we slept but the bathroom floor was dirty with hair and dust so it wasn’t washed in a while. The beds were comfortable. They do speak English so that was a plus.

We were too early for breakfast, but had an excellent dinner! The hotel was lovely and the staff couldn’t do enough to look after our needs. Although there were a couple of issues as the tv didn’t work well and the staff tried to fix the problem, without success! Also the shower head was broken. Our transfer to the airport was incredibly quick and easy and excellent service.

Das Personal war durchweg sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, was den Aufenthalt besonders angenehm gemacht hat. Das Frühstück war in Ordnung und bot eine solide Auswahl. Besonders positiv hervorzuheben sind die kostenlosen Parkmöglichkeiten direkt am Hotel. Das Zimmer selbst war sauber und gepflegt, auch wenn die Einrichtung und das Badezimmer etwas in die Jahre gekommen wirkten. Insgesamt ein angenehmer Aufenthalt mit gutem Service und praktischen Vorzügen.

Great hotel, but the beds in the rooms are a bit small.

Ideal for getting to the airport. We stayed here as our final stop before flying home as we had an early flight. Airport transfer service which is great. I booked a double but got a twin, didnt say as wasnt an issue. The room was quite hot and the fan kept coming on which was noisy and rather annoying. Overall the hotel room was clean, maybe slightly dated but that makes no difference to us. The hotel lobby is nice to see with all the plants, rather pretty. Not great value for money but convenient.

This hotel is convenient to the airport, well maintained, and the room was comfortable. The breakfast buffet was excellent. It was also nice to have a bar in the lobby. One small downside is that the rooms are not well soundproofed, but luckily we had quiet neighbors.

Unique interior, very friendly staff, spacious and comfortable room although no kettle. Ample choice of food at breakfast, with dairy alternatives, so somewhat vegan friendly. Noise outside at night, of unknown origin - sounded like heavy machinery. Will definitely return and choose this hotel instead of the one right at the airport.

It was + 30 C and the AC was not working otherwise a service was excellent and the staff was helpful and very friendly.

We chose Airport Hotel Budapest because of its proximity to Budapest Airport and the fact they had shuttle service. Problem was when we contacted them via email (as our flight was leaving Vienna enroute to Budapest) to arrange for a pickup, our email was not answered and remained unanswered upon arrival in Budapest. We had to arrange and pay for a taxi ride from the airport to the hotel. When we enquired about the lack of a response to our email the very nice woman at the front desk said they had been having problems with their email all day and were not able to receive any messages. In fairness, she offered us a drink voucher in the bar, but at 11pm we would have preferred that all or part of the taxi ride be refunded. The difficulties continued with the room. As soon as we opened the door there was an unpleasant smell. The drain in the bathroom sink was plugged and required about 5 minutes to slowly drain in order to run the water again. In addition, there was a strong musty/moldy odor coming from the shower. Because we were so tired we just went to bed. When we checked out in the morning, we raised both of these issues with the front desk person and their response was "we know". That was it. No apology or offer to reduce the rate as compensation for the inconvenience. We almost never write an unfavorable review, but this stay was not a good experience. Needless to say, we would not choose this hotel again in the future.

Clear and concise instructions how to contact free shuttle from the airport. Immediate response regardless of late arrival. Quick show up of the car to pick us up. Friendly and efficient check in. Opportunity to get really early coffee and some fruits (around 4.15 a.m.)! Wake up call. Very good option for night over. Well recommended

They were very prompt on check in. Extrememly helpful on answering all questions. Had a bagged lunch prepped as we were leaving on a 6am flight. This is the place to stay, especially if you need to be close to the airport. Also if you have a rental car there is a gas station right beside the hotel.

Contacted the property multiple times to get the airport shuttle. Called, emailed directly and even emailed through Orbitz days before my trip. Never received any sort of reply. I ended up sleeping in the airport. Thanks!

Frokost var god og innholdsrik, men dårlig service på frokosten som ødelagt mye av oppholdet. Vi står 3 stykke som skal ha kaffe etter frokost, men kelneren gikk rett fremfor oss og koblet av maskinen fordi klokken var 09:57. En litt spesiell måte å oppføre seg på. Men utrolig hyggelig og serviceinnstilt i resepsjonen og sjåføren som kjører oss til og fra flyplassen.

Stayed in this hotel as they offered a shuttle service to the airport and was cheaper than on site hotels. It did the job and did it well- staff were friendly, shuttle in time, comfy beds for a good sleep. The food in the restaurant was surprisingly good also, especially needed as it’s not close to anything other than fast food. Would stay again if I needed to catch an early flight from Budapest

Fantastic service from the hotel staff and everything was spotless and clean.

We was in transit and we need a room for one night. Part of the hotel was in renovation but they didn’t clean the floors or the elevators. The room was not really clean and we didn’t have enough towels for both of us.we have just one towel. But the worst that was,was when we come to check in. The gentleman that was in front desk was really, really rude. I approached him and he was writing something there, I said him hi,he looked up at me but didn’t say anything. I waited there for a couple minutes and I think he didn’t like this and he turned around to me and said to me: You don’t see that I am busy here ? You wait there on the chair and come back in 5 minutes. I said Ok and I left and I went back to him I after 1 hour and 45 minutes, Maybe for that I get that room on the first floor that was noisy and dirty.

The property was close to the airport and included a prompt shuttle service to the terminal. We were able to walk 10 minutes to a very nice shopping center with good dining. A nice breakfast was included. The room was not ornate but was very clean.

Es sumamente conveniente por su cercanía y traslado gratuito al aeropuerto. Aunque está muy cerca del aeropuerto, estando en el hotel no puedes salir porque no se puede caminar y no hay nada por ahí, es muy solitario.

There was a line for the coffee and tea machine throughout breakfast. A small selection of sweet pastries and they don't refilling it for the last hour.

For being so close to the airport, it was quieter than I expected. It's within walking distance of a shopping center that has a grocery store and a fun food court. The complimentary breakfast was amazing!

I had to leave early in the morning and wanted to have an early breakfast. You don't offer good food for such customers. The sandwishes were awful. Cold and not fresh. Please include more choices for early breakfast- like yoghurts, variety of sandwiches etc.

The location of this hotel was ideal for an early morning flight. We ate supper in the restaurant and the food was amazing - the Airport Burger was one of the best I've ever had. The room was clean and comfortable and the free shuttle to the airport was very convenient. Our only disappointment was the breakfast. We needed to eat around 4:30am but there was nothing set out and we had to ask at the desk before we got a couple of rather tough buns with salami. We saw the breakfast getting set up as we were waiting for the shuttle around 5:15am. Otherwise, this hotel was great and would definitely recommend.
