All was great but some areas of the hotel require renovation and cleaning. The smelly stairway from the parking to the reception, stinking from sewage is not a nice welcome. The elevator to the parking is mostly dirty and much overused as it is shared with the hotel cleaning staff. The room and bathroom were extremely clean and comfortable, the breakfast was perfect. There is a nice gym and two pools one indoor and one outdoor on the roof which is stunning.

Overall the continental hotel offers a great location for those wanting to visit the city. Unfortunately the outdoor swimming pool was closed, but the indoor was open. The roof top was somewhat lacking seating, which made it difficult to use. The rooms are a little tired and the air con was more of a fan. The rooms are hot, and opening a window leads to street noise and dustbins being emptied in the early hours. Breakfast was really the saving grace, offering a huge amount of choice. Again overall it was okay, but I’d look elsewhere if we come back in the future. Great location, but tired.

Hotel is very nice. Staff friendly and rooms spotless. Upgraded on arrival to junior suite with great balcony. Only downside was the pools were being refurbished so unable to use which wasn’t advertised when booking.

The Continental had an interesting mix of old with new. I loved the look of the hotel. The pool was a perfect temperature with a cool rooftop view. Loungers were scattered around but I was never able to grab one. The breakfast buffet was delicious and plentiful.

Amazing hotel. Easy check in. Beautiful hotel and rooms. Access to the pool, sauna and spa (pool is FOC, spa services have additional costs). Staff were friendly and spoke English. Rooms were clean, spacious and we felt safe there. Hotel was a fab location and walking distance to everything. Bus route was about 10mins walk away. We got the 100E bus from the airport to the hotel and same on return. Hotel is a hidden gem in Budapest. We didn't eat in the hotel as we wanted to venture out but the resturant looked lovely and the food smelt amazing. Hotel is around the corner from the Karavan street food. A Tesco and Spar is a 5 min walk from the hotel. We walked everywhere. Buda castle and Szechenyi spa both took us about 40 mins and these were the furthest things away that we did. Can't recommend this hotel enough 10/10

Freundliches Personal. Leider war mein Zimmer nicht so sauber, die Haare im Badezimmer und im Abfluss der Dusche liefen nicht gut ab. Das Hotel ist trotz einer viel befahrenen Straße einen Block entfernt ruhig gelegen und bietet in der Umgebung reichlich Essen und/oder Getränke sowie Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Supermarkt, Drogerie und Apotheke. Darüber hinaus sind die öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel für günstige Fahrten innerhalb der Stadt fußläufig erreichbar.

My overall experience was disappointing. The room, sauna, and pool were all small, and the towels were stained, which was unacceptable. The hotel was overpriced, and on top of that, they charged for parking. After leaving, I noticed an additional charge on my credit card with no explanation, which felt dishonest. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone based on my experience.

Colazione eccezionale e posizione strategica. Personale eccellente. Purtroppo la camera non era molto pulita (es. Macchie nella vasca da bagno, grumi di capelli trovati all'arrivo) e in generale le condizioni erano da hotel un po' datato (materasso vecchio, lavandino otturato). Rapporto qualità prezzo buono considerando che tra i 4 stelle superior è tra i più economici.

Overall the hotel was good. The breakfast was good and had a nice variety. The room was nice and clean. The window opens so that was nice. They had the heater going so no A/C. During the day the room can get warm. I left the window open and it helped balance the temp. The hotel is in a good walking location to lots of restaurants, events and sights to see.

Breakfast 1) The potato tots were always cold or luke warm, I did complain, the following day they were still cold. 2)The baked beans were always cold 3)They forgot on more than one occasion to put the butter out Room. 1) The room air conditioning was adequate at best. 2) The magnetic door closing strip was useless on the shower and there was a gap at the bottom of the shower door where the water spewed out. 3) One morning there was no hot water 4)The TV Youtube app would not play above 720HD 8) This room is right by the staff rest/maintenance room where you constantly get the door slamming sending a bang through the room.

Staff, cleanliness, and location are great. Only downside was the noise. Windows arent very thick so you could hear drunk people shouting at 2am. Also construction behind the hotel starting at 7am was also mildly annoying. But i mean thats life i guess. Maybe consider soundproofing the rooms if budget of the hotel allows. Only real critique. Otherwise nice place

Hotel is ideally situated for easy access to public transport. Rooms are clean and spacious although did find it odd no usb sockets for charging phones. Breakfast was very good and check in and out very efficient. Would recommend as a good base for exploring Budapest

Great location for visiting the main sights and good choice for breakfast . Had a deluxe room but it overlooked the street and at night it was noisy and we couldn’t open the window due to the noise . The AC had been turned off throughout the hotel even though autumn daytime temperatures were 19degrees so the rooms were quite warm and stuffy . Nonetheless a great stay with helpful staff !

The spa area was nice, two pools and plenty of loungers and chairs spread across the decks. We wanted a massage on Sunday but we left it too late to book on Sunday morning as they were already full The room was clean but very small, not a lot of space for two people to manoeuvre around. These days I think a firm mattress is more common than soft - this bed was super soft, you sank into it - suits some but wasn’t for us. The bathroom was a good size but not optimal. The shower was tiny and the tray a simple plastic square which didn’t feel safe. There is plenty of space to create shower of a walk in style but double in nature The bar was well staffed and attentive however the ambiance was more like of a coffee shop and not a bar. The location is good, quite central and next to a food hub (street food) so lots of choice on the door step The hop on hop off bus is at the end of the street so quite handy.

Great location - walking distance to city center and various restaurants. Train station is near by. Hotel in general is good and rooms are neat. Bathroom is tiny in the standard room. Breakfast appears to have a lot of options, but it is mainly bread, desserts, fruits, eggs and one or two meat options - it's good if you want to eat at the restaurant and not pricy, but if you are staying longer you may wanna explore brunch places outside, which seems to be abundant. The only thing I didn't like was the fact that even though I am a VIP expedia member and eligible for a room upgrade (when available), I wasn't given an upgrade citing no room was available, eventhough their website and expedia website clearly showed the next higher room available to book. I even took screenshots of that and shared with expedia customer care, who weren't helpful and it was a waste of time. The lady at the reception wasn't very nice about it either. Either the website was lying or the hotel staff. This was the only disappointment. Hence, 3/5.

The hotel itself is excellent, but the reception staff were unprofessional and inattentive, which detracted from the experience. Unfortunately, the wellness facilities were closed during our stay. The buffet breakfast was chaotic, with guests scrambling for leftovers. On a positive note, the restaurant downstairs was outstanding, offering exceptional service and delicious food. The Deluxe Rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. Overall, while the stay had its highlights, the poor reception service means I would not choose to return.

Minha experiência com o hotel foi perfeita. A staff e todos os funcionários estão de parabéns pela eficiência, educação e simpatia. O café da manhã é bem variado, com algumas referências de outros países, o que tornou ainda mais proveitosa a estadia. A área de spa é muito bem equipada, no entanto os armários não estavam funcionando. Limpeza, produtos de higiene, produtos alimentares disponíveis no quarto, serviço de lavagem de roupas, tudo estava perfeito. Sobre a localização, tem bastantes bares e restaurantes nos arredores. Não há perigo nenhum de caminhar à noite por lá. Vale lembrar que ele é próximo de um bar muito badalado, o Szimpla Kert. Meu desejo agora é voltar para Budapeste e me hospedar novamente lá, somos tratados como reis!

From check in to Check out the staff were very friendly and professional. Cleaning staff so hard working as were restaurant staff. Knowledgeable about food and drinks . Breakfast on one morning was fabulous with such a variety and staff service when needed. I loved our stay in Budapest and will definitely stay here again when we return .

We went to Budapest as a birthday present for my other half. We booked a standard room but i emailed the hotel to try to arrange an upgrade to a suite or Junior suite as a surprise. No reply was forthcoming so I thought i'd discuss this on arrival. When we arrived we were told we'd been upgraded so I thought maybe they'd acted on my email but the room wasn't what I wanted so I went to reception, asked about an upgrade to a suite and to my surprise they gave us a suite at no extra charge. The Suite was fantastic, breakfast excellent and all of the staff couldn't do more for us - they were all wonderful. We were especially happy with János Babolcs in the Lobby who was the loveliest and most helpful person. We usually go for more intimate, boutique style hotels but we couldn't find one that was in the right location so we chose the Continental and we were really glad we did. For us it was a fantastic experience and one which we would wholeheartedly recommend

Friendly staff helped us a lot with everything that we asked, as honeymooners they gave us a bottle of champagne for free. Great food and breakfast and even gave us a welcome drink

The hotel overall is good. The reception staff are fantastic and very helpful on arrival and throughout the stay. Unfortunately the breakfast staff were very unhelpful and even rude on many occasions when simply asking them if they will be replenishing items at the buffet (which is basically the main part of their job). Noticed small things like toilet paper that had ran out at the wellness/pool area toilet, changing rooms unclean, cutlery & napkins running out at breakfast. Small things but things that should be simple to fix but nobody appeared to really care to do so. Lovely hotel but just feel like a lot of the staff weren’t interested.

The room was very small but quiet as it faced an internal courtyard. Pretty convenient location BUT the streets nearby are a bit depressing. No late checkout. I asked for an hour extension but dismissed even though there was no sign of cleaning on my floor when I left. Decent location, recently decorated but functional rather than charming.

The hotel staff was wonderful very very helpful in fixing an excursion that I messed up. The room was very clean and very comfortable. We had a standard room, if you don’t like street noise ask for one on the courtyard we were on the second floor and up until 11 o’clock you could hear people on the street. Didn’t bother us as we go to bed late. Great location just inside the Jewish quarter very close to main public transportation. The breakfast was plentiful. Everything was good. The next day not prepared as well but I’m sure they would’ve corrected something if we asked. All in all, I would recommend this hotel and stay there again.

Great, especially for the price. Good breakfast buffet, nice roof top pool and spa and gym included. Standard room fine, not huge ,shower not bath but perfectly good for 3 day visit. Nice clean comfortable bed. Easy walking to attractions. Friendly staff, all spoke English. Interesting area, very central, a real mix of grandeur and really run down areas, just made it more interesting, felt perfectly safe. Enjoyed, would go back.

The air conditioning was very bad. The nigt was very warm and condition doesn't work at all.The noise was coming from reception area.,we saw some man was standing at hotel reception open air area and they were disgusting about something, made a lot of noise.The breakfast was OK,but no Prosecco ,which are always served at this class hotels in all Europe.Dissapointing.

The property was in good conditions, they have a nice and gentle piano bar player every evening that adds charm to the place. The facilities were ok, would deserve some light maintenance or redesign, but overall they are usable and enjoyable and that's all that matters. The location is ok, right on the lively Jewish quarter, and walking distance to many "ruin bars" and restaurants, 20-30 minutes walking distance to parliament, museums, opera, libraries and around the corner from the famous New York café.

L'accueil à l'arrivée a été rapide et efficace. Le petit déjeuner est certes varié mais la qualité n'est pas au rendez-vous. Pour simple exemple il y avait 4 jus de fruits, ce qui est bien, mais à base de concentrés ... L'hôtel est un 4 étoiles supérieur, nous pouvions en attendre mieux. La chambre est bien équipée et spacieuse mis à part la salle de bain qui est vraiment très petite. Une personne de corpulence normale a du mal à se tourner dans la douche. Certes nous étions sur une chambre standard, mais toujours dans la même optique nous pouvions attendre mieux d'un tel établissement. Pour la partie Wellness, très bien après avoir parcouru les rues de Budapest.

Fint og sentralt hotell, hyggelig personale og rent over alt. Frokosten var kjip, lite å velge i men har en egen kokk som lager egg slik du ønsker dem. Vi var 3stk på rommet og den flyttbare senga var svært vond å sove på. Hotellet ordnet egen rimelig taxi til flyplassen ved avreise.

Hotel is nice and clean inside, there are 2 pools. Lots of food options around the area. Hotel is located in the back street, however, we do feel safe walking in late at night as there were always people walking. Breakfast needs to be improve, we were there for 4 days, no change to breakfast, staled bread, diluted juices.
