Very hospitable staff who go the extra mile - had an issue with aircon and a maintenance guy came over as soon as possible. They then provided me with a temporary unit as the system took a while to regulate the room temp. Breakfast was very impressive too and my request for a quiet room was granted. I like superior rooms as it was more like an apartment so could cook there too if I wanted to and the hotel was very centrally located. Please thank your lovely staff

The property advertises two bars, they have one, the pool bar, which is open very limited hours. After a couple of days I was left one small hand towel, when I asked about it was told one person, one towel. The lights in the stairwell did not work. Water from the apartment above mine was dripping into the bathroom. Rey Carlos used to be a great place to stay, I will not be booking there again. The location is great, close to the beach (10 minute walk). The receptionist told me he didn't have time for my complaints, he had work to do. WiFi is intermittent at best.

Many areas in the property were being refurbished so it was very noisy whilst the man were working. The room was very basic on its utilities for cooking. No kettle. No air conditioning. However they did provide a free standing air conditioning unit but it need to be next to the balcony door for venting. Staff very friendly and helpful.

The Ray Carlos is an older hotel…I guess built in the 70’s. In places it’s showing it’s age. We had issues with the air conditioning, it was set to 22’c we couldn’t change the setting. It also stopped working twice. However it was resolved fairly quickly. Also the power in the room went off once. I had an updated room with an upgraded bath room which was nice. There was renovation work being carried out on my floor which was noisy during the daytime. My friend had an older room the bathroom wasn’t great. He asked to be moved because of drain smells. The pool area was nice…looks like it’s been updated, plenty of sun-beds and parasols. Overall the hotel was ok for the price.

I had a room that was not remodeled yet. It was very clean, cleaning service came every day except Sunday. Front desk staff was super nice and helpful. The hotel is close to Cita Shopping Center and about ten minutes from the beach. The pool area and bar were very nice. Just wish the bar was open, there also is a stage but no entertainment.

Great Location, close to bus stop and lots of bars and restaurant. Hotel was clean, however room was only cleaned 1 day out our 3 night. Not sure if this is normal. 2 beds were joined up, but all i felt was springs! Suggest upgrading to the new renovated rooms. Very spacious and felt new . Pool are was great with enough sunbeds. Would stay here again.

Huge flat to myself with a nice balcony, so great value for money. The cleaning was ok. Only twin beds, I would have preferred a double bed, but they seem to do things that way there. Nice wooden furniture everywhere. Some very friendly clerks (Alvaro was amazing!), some less interested. The pool was great outside too. The WiFi though was awful but I guess it must be hard in such a large place. But super happy in the end.

This hotel has provided one of the worst experiences we have ever had. We stayed here for eight days, and not once was the room properly cleaned. On the only day the cleaner came, she took the blanket from our bed. When we asked about it, we were told it was in the laundry and that there was no replacement, forcing us to sleep without a blanket. Despite multiple requests for cleaning, the only thing they did was make the bed – no vacuuming, no bathroom cleaning, nothing. We asked if they could wash the dishes, since there was no dish soap or brush provided. They said it was “not included,” so we had to go out and buy these ourselves. We even requested a knife to cut a watermelon we had bought, but they didn’t have one. The room we were given was filthy and nothing like what we booked – dirty surfaces, unpleasant smell, and clear signs of neglect. The service is unprofessional, the facilities are poorly maintained, and the attitude towards guests is unacceptable. We strongly advise everyone to avoid this hotel at all costs.

Wir hatten ein Zimmer (Nr.531) was bereits renoviert wurde. Dort war die Sauberkeit in Ordnung , bei uns hat die Putzfrau jeden Tag geklopft und wollte immer irgendetwas säubern, Handtücher/Bettzeug tauschen etc. Sehr freundlich und gründlich, Top. Mit etwas Trinkgeld gibt es auch kleine Geschenke der Putzfrau (z.B. ist die ältere Sitzcouch dann mit einem Schonbezug versehen worden, sehr aufmerksam) Die Einrichtung selber war in Ordnung, dem Zimmerpreis angemessen. Teilweise neu und teilweise aus den 90-igern. Flat-Fernseher war neu und mit deutschen Programmen Verpflegung hatten wir keine gebucht. Wir können dazu also keine Aussage treffen. Sonst im Großen und Ganzen ein Hotel, etwas in die Jahre gekommen aber es wird etwas getan und renoviert.

Fik så 424 tilbage nu “rengjort” nu brugeligt men stadig meget nusset og klamt gad ikke mere, så jeg måtte tage det som Det var . No había ningún control de acceso, se colaba la gente de la calle, el aire acondicionado siempre estaba roto. No te cambian las toallas de la ducha si no han pasado 3 días, recibimos unas toallas que en vez de blancas estaban amarillas de la suciedad…. En fin como para no repetir

La entrada al hotel la piscina super muy morderno por fuera. En la habitación y salón ya es hora de hacer cambio de camas y comedor,sobre la limpieza estuve 3 dias y no me limpiaron paso un vez la cámarera a limpiar le dije en 10 minutos salgo y nunca volvio ni cambio de toallas nada

The hotel is in a great location and has a lovely pool area which is in the direct sun for most of the day. I stayed in an ‘updated’ apartment which had a balcony overlooking the pool at the front of the hotel. The apartment was very large and offered most things I needed - a few extra touches were needed like washing up sponges and liquid and better shower gels etc. but otherwise the apartment was comfortable. I’ve downside is the noise from guests in the hallway/stairs and sofa area on the top of the stairs. The bedroom is directly next to this hallway and has single glazed slated windows it feels like the people are in the bedroom with you. This results in very early wake up’s with guests returning late from the bars/clubs and others dragging their cases early in the morning and chatting loudly. Buffet breakfast is offer at €10 per person and dinner is also a buffet at €16 per person. I did not try these options but they seemed good value for money

The room actually turned out to be a small apartment, so we had lots more space than expected. The accommodation was a little dated, but still well equipped. We also had a nice view of the pool from the balcony of our apartment. Staff was friendly and breakfast was good. All in all a very good experience at a reasonable price and I would definitely choose Hotel Rey Carlos again.

Hatte das Superior Doppelzimmer für eine Woche hier. Und war für das 3 Sterne Hotel positiv überrascht. Moderne Ausstattung und sehr helles Apartment wurde mir zugeteilt. Personal sehr freundlich. Frühstück war in Ordnung, große Auswahl. Alles in allem dem Preis angepasst. Ich werde wieder kommen

Helt ok hotell. Middag og frokost var greit nok, men litt smakløs mat for min del. Dog variert middagsbuffè hver dag. Overnattet på ett av rommene som ikke var pusset opp. Litt gammelt og slitent, men det var rent og hadde det vi trengte. STORT MINUS PÅ SENGENE!!! Steinharde madrasser og puter tynne som pannekaker. Vond rygg etter andre natten. Men alt i alt en hyggelig hotell!!

Tyvärr var sängen väldigt obekväm och fjädrarna kändes. Det hade behövts en ny säng. Bra läge och en pool som var trevlig. Personalen trevlig och hjälpsam.

Huge flat to myself with a nice balcony, so great value for money. The cleaning was ok. Only twin beds, I would have preferred a double bed, but they seem to do things that way there. Nice wooden furniture everywhere. Some very friendly clerks (Alvaro was amazing!), some less interested. The pool was great outside too. The WiFi though was awful but I guess it must be hard in such a large place. But super happy in the end.

Very hospitable staff who go the extra mile - had an issue with aircon and a maintenance guy came over as soon as possible. They then provided me with a temporary unit as the system took a while to regulate the room temp. Breakfast was very impressive too and my request for a quiet room was granted. I like superior rooms as it was more like an apartment so could cook there too if I wanted to and the hotel was very centrally located. Please thank your lovely staff

Not a great stay! Returned to room to find 2 strangers leaving through our door. Challenged them as they ran away, no assistance from reception who said we have to call police. Also had no water for one morning due to a technical failure in the hotel.

Ved ankomst fik jeg tildelt vær 424 som IKKE var rengjort, dette blev så byttet til værelse 109 som heller IKKE rengjort, begge værelser havde været brugt .. Fik så 424 tilbage nu “rengjort” nu brugeligt men stadig meget nusset og klamt gad ikke mere, så jeg måtte tage det som Det var . Receptionisten ( en ældre herre ) var tydeligvis bedøvende ligeglad .. Aldrig mere Rey Carlos

Al llegar me dieron una habitación de menor calidad a la abonada, porque dijeron que el hotel estaba lleno. Al día siguiente me propusieron otra habitación de más calidad supuestamente, (parcheada). Ya en la tercera habitación si se correspondía con lo solicitado. En definitiva, fui a descansar una semana y según llego coges nervios y al dia siguiente más por la mala gestión de la empresa. Como compensación a esa noche en una habitación de más baja calidad me dejaban pasar el último día hasta las 20:00 con un papel de la empresa donde firmaba el recepcionista y yo con la salvedad de que no pusiera denuncia por lo ocurrido. Sin embargo a las 18:00 ya nos estaban avisando para dejarla libre porque tenía que ocuparla otra persona, incluso subió el recepcionista por ello, así que le enseñe el documento de autorización para esa hora. A la llegada de recepción otra pareja anterior tuvo exactamente el mismo problema. Creo que ya es costumbre ese modo de proceder. La peor experiencia de mi vida, te dicen que es una habitación superior cuando lo único nuevo es el baño el resto es de hace 30 años

On check in, desk staff do not speak any foreign language ( surprising for a destination that attracts English, French, German, . . . speaking guests year round. Rooms in terrible condition! - NO closets/dressers in bedroom, walls and ceiling deterioration plastered over (no finish paint) - Bathroom had terrible, constant odour of sewer gasses ( suspect incorrect /faulty plumbing). Maintenance/housekeeping staff would pour deodorizing compound down drains every day, which would last till we turned water on to wash or shower, or flushed toilet, then stench would come return. When we requested a re-location, we were informed that no other rooms available, and they would continue to deodorize drains to remedy. Kitchen appliances in terrible shape. Sink cracked, cooktop and counter damaged, fridge shelves missing, freezer door missing. Very limited utensils. Had to ask for knives, salad bowl and colander, soup bowls, dish cloths, cooking pot, frying pan. Decent food in restaurant buffet, but no variety (same food at every meal.

It was really good location, next to the bus stops where you could go and travel to different cities or even airport. Around 10 min walk from beautiful dunes. Some shops around, lots of restaurants. Pool was very clean. Lovely staff.

Good central location. Next to the Cita center and busstop if you take the bus from the airport. Didn't try the breakfast, made my own in the kitchen. Good size balcony with afternoon sun Good size pool and good amount of sunbeds. To bad they don't remove the towels from the sunbeds. From the annoying people who leave towel on the sunbeds. And then they away all day. Taking the bed, from people who actually wants to be at the pool all day. Otherwise a good hotel I would use again

Abbiamo soggiornato parecchie volte al Rey Carlos e siamo stati sempre bene. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo e posizione strategica vicino a tutto. Fermata del bus vicinissima e mare raggiungibile con una breve passeggiata. Colazione a buffet buona, anche se migliorabile in qualità e varietà. La piscina è molto curata ed esposta molto bene al sole. Il personale è sempre molto gentile e disponibile.

Das Rey Carlos liegt sehr günstig. Vom Flughafen aus mit den Buslinien 66 und 90 gut zu erreichen. Die Einkaufszentren CITA und Yumbo mit ihren Restaurants und Bars sind quasi ums Eck. Auch der Strand ist zu Fuß erreichbar.

le camere sono un poco datate ma spaziose, silenziose e tutte con un balcone privato, dai piani più alti si vede molto bene l'oceano, la vista da su la piscina dell'hotel. colazione e cena abbondante e internazionale. a due passi dalle dune di maspalomas e comodo per tutti i servizi e gli autobus.

Great Location, close to bus stop and lots of bars and restaurant. Hotel was clean, however room was only cleaned 1 day out our 3 night. Not sure if this is normal. 2 beds were joined up, but all i felt was springs! Suggest upgrading to the new renovated rooms. Very spacious and felt new . Pool are was great with enough sunbeds. Would stay here again.

Tutto bene al Rey Carlos. Dopo tanti anni che soggiorniamo in questo albergo, confermiamo che il personale è molto gentile e disponibile, abitazione spaziosa e confortevole. Colazione a buffet con scelta tra dolce e salato, varia e di buona qualità ma migliorabile. Wi-Fi ok e ampia piscina ben curata.

The room actually turned out to be a small apartment, so we had lots more space than expected. The accommodation was a little dated, but still well equipped. We also had a nice view of the pool from the balcony of our apartment. Staff was friendly and breakfast was good. All in all a very good experience at a reasonable price and I would definitely choose Hotel Rey Carlos again.

Als Apartment betrachtet ist es OK. Alle 2 Tage werden die Handtücher gewechselt. Aber das Buffet ist überhaupt nicht zu empfehlen. Alle Gerichte viel zu trocken (Fleisch/Fisch) geringe Auswahl und sehr langweilig. Das beste waren die Suppen/Eintöpfe. Auch das Frühstücksbuffet war jeden Tag gleich. Sehr einfach und langweilig.

Reservé del 7 al 13 de Octubre del 2023, hotel correcto respecto al precio pagado, con desyuno y cena. Todo bien lo único la cena es de una empresa externa y era todas las noches comida china ..... aunque puedes ir variando cada día....a lo último ya resultaba algo pensado pero por lo demás pasamos unos días estupendos 😊

Estuvimos 12 días en régimen de media pensión siendo ésta la cuarta vez que nos alojábamos en este hotel. La cena y el desayuno han cambiado. Ahora está subcontratado a un buffet asiático. Calidad pésima y variedad nula. Hay quejas continuas a la dirección del Hotel Rey Carlos sin que ello varíe la situación. Posiblemente no vuelva si esto no cambia. Señalar que el personal del desayuno, María y el cocinero, son extraordinarios y hacen todo lo que pueden por contentar a los clientes.

All in all a very good experience at a reasonable price and I would definitely choose Hotel Rey Carlos again.
