Great venue, lovely staff, very clean. Great location. Slight downside is the rooms are a little tired, and there is always lots of towels on limited sunbeds. somewhere we'd go again though.

Enjoyable stay , good breakfast with a lot of variety well laid out , excellent facilities pool gym plenty of sun beds comfortable beds room neees updating but plenty big enough - and very comfortable bed maid was in every day to tidy up - Very good central location for the yumbo and not far from bus stops or taxi ranks

The rooms where ok, I really liked that there was a bathtub in the bathroom. The breakfast buffet was very good, exapt the scrumbled eggs, they where very snotty, they should baked it longer. The Pool and the whirlpool where freezing cold and that explains why there where not much people swimming or in the whirpool.

Great hotel with lots of amenities and evening entertainment. Very close to the Yumbo Centre and transport links. Staff were super friendly and nice too. Breakfast was a large buffet of hot and cold options and drinks too. Love that they have shower facilites in reception if you have a flight in the evening. I sunbathed all day and got refreshed and showered which is the first time ive seen a hotel do this. Only downfall is the walk from reception to my room was long. The hotel is a maze. But other than that i would 100% recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

Tidigare Riu-kedjan, nu Servatur; det här var 15:e gången vi bodde på Don Miguel. Hotellet ligger mycket bra till, mitt i Playa del Ingles, nära Yumbo. Tidigare kunde man boka solstolar tidigast 09.00, (det såg poolskötaren Rafael till) - nu var det huggsexa; de mest attraktiva stolarna var bokade redan 07.30 - dåligt! Maten? Ja, frukosten mycket bra, (dock var personalen lite underbemannad, det tog lång tid att hitta ett dukat bord), middagen var bättre tidigare i Riu-kedjan, (fler grönsaker). Underhållningen: Alltför "ungdomlig musik", (typ dunka-dunka och wailande) tänk på att detta är ett Adult only-hotell och då borde musiken vara anpassad efter åldersgruppen! Dock - hotellet är bra och prisvärt! Har du inte bott i Playa del Ingles tidigare är detta hotell ett absolut bra val - boka!

Hotel is very dated, the rooms are nice and beds very comfortable, I slept well. The air con had a mind of its own and bathroom hairdryer did not work. This hotel is a maze and not suitable for people with mobility issues. Major let down for this hotel is the distance from reception to the rooms which is a maze with lots of stair cases - if they knocked down a few hedges and made pathway from reception to the the first external facing rooms then it would be a grewt hotel. Food and service was very good.

Often stay here when visiting Gran Canaria. Great location and hotel offers complimentary breakfast which is actually very good. The pool area is fantastic l but the hotel doesn’t seem to police the non hotel guests from using it, I actually got talking to a couple who even told me they weren’t staying there just liked the pool area, sometimes hard to find a lounger for that reason. The staff are always friendly and fun - looks like they enjoy working there. The rooms have had a small refresh in the past few years but still looking quite tired around the place. Some facade is cracking badly and the bathrooms are very average. I enjoyed the hotel bar/cafe but only complaint I would have is that quite often when you have finished dining and want to pay it’s really hard to get the staff‘s attention and you’re often sitting there for ages it’s quite frustrating. Even when i approached the bar/till area I was directed back to my table and they would come to me, but the staff just stood there waiting for orders to deliver when I think best use of time would be to complete the bill of diners finished then run an order when it’s done?

Wonderful location, very, very helpful and accommodating staff, We enjoyed the facilities so much that we actually spent three of our six days on the island just resting and relaxing around the pool area… The worst part, (and likely speaking for English and American tourists generally), would be that the eggs and potatoes served for breakfast every morning, were basically cold the first two mornings before I realized this was the norm…such a waste of food! Then, as we ate lunch on the patio overlooking the pool 4 days, it was really disappointing that the first day we had a Caprese salad, so we had a Caprese salad every day and the tomatoes went from being beautiful ripen red to almost pale, pink orange hard, and the balsamic vinegar was pretty much nonexistent, as it had been poured earlier and had seed into the cheese point that you could barely taste it … Only mentioning it because we ordered it four days because the first one was so good. We felt that each following day that was worse might be followed by a day where they found great tomatoes and made it fresh or at least poured the balsamic vinegar fresh.

Nice and decent hotel. The gym could be better (I.e. more equipment, only one treadmill and shortage of dumbbells), but good breakfast, pool area and room. Close to yumbo center and conveniently located. It’s a quite big hotel and the rooms can be somewhat of a far walk which could be easily changed if they opened certain access points in the doors/fences to the hotel that remained locked.

Had a very good stay at this hotel. The room was light and clean although being quite basic. Enjoyed the well organized pool area. Good service, friendly staff and a plentiful breakfast buffet (in a rather noisy and busy breakfast room).

Das Don Miguel ist ein Mittelklassehotel. Lage ist gut, Personal meist freundlich, aber hin und wieder auch ruppig. Die Zimmer sind nicht wirklich groß und die Einrichtung unpraktisch. Weder Einlageböden im Schrank noch alternativ eine Kofferablage sind vorhanden. Im Bad rostet die Badewanne, Wasser läuft beim Duschen ins Bad. Zwischendurch wurde der Duschkopf gegen einen schlechteren (beschädigten) ausgetauscht. Grund nicht erkennbar. Beleuchtung ist allgemein in kaltweiss und ein Schalter funktionierte nicht.Steckdosen am Schreibtisch? Eher nicht vorhanden bzw. nicht erreichbar. Die Minibar ist manchmal recht laut und kann nicht abgeschaltet werden. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist umfangreich, aber alles Convenience und von der Qualität eher Mittelmaß.

Wonderful hotel close to everything - shops, bars, restaurants, buses, beach etc... Room spotless with daily cleaning by friendly staff. Hotel staff efficient, professional, courteous and helpful. Food in the restaurant catered for all tastes and diets and was faultless. Would heartily recommend and would book to stay again.

The room we asked to stay in was perfect - we were very happy the excellent hotel staff could arrange this for us. The cleanliness of the hotel is great and the cleaning staff are friendly. The breakfast is always excellent and the waiting staff are super efficient and also very kind and welcoming. The only thing to improve is the coffee - the coffee machine settings aren’t set well so the coffee is too watery. I preferred the coffee jugs… Jose Carlos the pool boy is always very friendly and helpful. The hotel location is also great. Looking forward to coming back again soon.

Room was very clean, cozy and spacious - despite being on a main road, it was also quiet Staff, especially reception, was friendly and attentive. Live music at the pool - either DJ or evening entertainment which made a very good atmosphere

Man muss aufpassen, welche Zimmerkategorie man bucht. Wir hatten das kleinste Doppelzimmer und das war richtig klein.. Leider war das Mobiliar abgelegt. Es wurde auch nichts die letzten Jahre an dem Hotel gemacht. Rost an der Badewanne, Kacheln kaputt. Wir reklamiert en und wurden abgespeist. Wir sollten uns an den Veranstalter wenden. Den Wechsel in ein anderes Zimmer würde uns angeboten. Das haben wir wegen der Art und Weise wie mit uns gesprochen wurde nicht in Anspruch genommen. Man muss aufpassen, welche Zimmerkategorie man bucht. Wir hatten das kleinste Doppelzimmer und das war richtig klein.. Leider war das Mobiliar abgelegt. Es wurde auch nichts die letzten Jahre an dem Hotel gemacht. Rost an der Badewanne, Kacheln kaputt. Wir reklamiert en und wurden abgespeist. Wir sollten uns an den Veranstalter wenden. Den Wechsel in ein anderes Zimmer würde uns angeboten. Das haben wir wegen der Art und Weise wie mit uns gesprochen wurde nicht in Anspruch genommen. Hotellet har en god central beliggenhed. værelserne er basic og er ikke hverken godt eller skidt, men alligevel er der så meget larm fra gaden af biler og fra gangene når de begynder rengøringen tidligt om morgenen. Så husk ørepropper, hvis du skal/vil bo her.

Hotel is very dated, the rooms are nice and beds very comfortable, I slept well. The air con had a mind of its own and bathroom hairdryer did not work. This hotel is a maze and not suitable for people with mobility issues. Major let down for this hotel is the distance from reception to the rooms which is a maze with lots of stair cases - if they knocked down a few hedges and made pathway from reception to the the first external facing rooms then it would be a grewt hotel. Food and service was very good.

Often stay here when visiting Gran Canaria. Great location and hotel offers complimentary breakfast which is actually very good. The pool area is fantastic l but the hotel doesn’t seem to police the non hotel guests from using it, I actually got talking to a couple who even told me they weren’t staying there just liked the pool area, sometimes hard to find a lounger for that reason. The staff are always friendly and fun - looks like they enjoy working there. The rooms have had a small refresh in the past few years but still looking quite tired around the place. Some facade is cracking badly and the bathrooms are very average. I enjoyed the hotel bar/cafe but only complaint I would have is that quite often when you have finished dining and want to pay it’s really hard to get the staff‘s attention and you’re often sitting there for ages it’s quite frustrating. Even when i approached the bar/till area I was directed back to my table and they would come to me, but the staff just stood there waiting for orders to deliver when I think best use of time would be to complete the bill of diners finished then run an order when it’s done?

Good hotel. All the staff are nice, always smile and polite. The room was a good size, some minor details on the bathroom that need to be repaired, but not a big deal. The only problem for me was the street which was really busy even night time and I couldn't sleep good because of the passing cars, rubbish trucks or some late party people shouting. Was a new hotel for me and I was pleasantly surprised. Very convenient to the Yumbo Centre but was more peaceful than others I have stayed in near the centre. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

Next door to the Yumbo Center & centrally located. Staff are all super helpful from reception to waiting and chambermaid staff. Lovely swimming pool and real value for money snack bar. Breakfast was excellent, it was more of a banquet than buffet as advertised. Fantastic four poster sun loungers by the crystal clear pool. Strong Wi-fi both in rooms and around the entire hotel and It was free. Great stay and we will return without doubt. Booked flights and hotel separately which constituted as saving of around £400+ on the equivalent package deals being offered. Stay here - you will not regret it.😁😁😁

Great value stay in Gran Canaria, Good location - lots of bars shops restaurants within walking distance. Bus stop and taxi rank outside for locations further away. Food was good - stayed half board, Breakfast and dinner tasty with themed evenings Chinese/Asian, Mexican, Canarian etc. Staff were always friendly and at hand to sort out any issues (we didn’t like the initial room given and it was sorted with out fuss). Rooms cleaned daily. Bar prices reasonable (if your on a tighter budget there’s a supermarket less than 50 meters from the hotel).sure the hotel was tired in some areas however as we usually stay at RUI or Lopesan hotels when in Gran Canaria we we’re pleasantly surprised at the value for money this hotel offered given the price difference from our usual hotels. TIP - pay the extra £30 for pool rooms much better views.

Received a message from the hotel offering an airport transfer. I emailed accepting, but asked if I could put it on the room. They emailed back to send flight details - then confirmed that someone would be onsite with a sign at the airport. Nobody showed up so took a taxi instead - paid with my card. On arrival to hotel I was told I needed to pay the original driver who ended up showing up late to the airport. Not only that, but I needed to go get cash and pay the driver directly. FOR A DRIVER THAT NEVER SHOWED UP. The check-in lady started to yell at me that it's wrong that I took the taxi instead of waiting. I told her that I was not told OR emailed: I was to pay in cash/I was to wait/I was not able to put it on the room. So I was under no commitment to pay MORE money to a taxi driver who was late CASH that I did not have, for a ride that I did not take. The lady took my phone to look at my emails as proof, then wouldn't give my phone back until I yelled back at her to give me my phone. I don't know WHY she was so hell bent on us paying this taxi driver who didn't even work for the hotel - it was a completely separate company. This put a damper on the entire stay. The breakfast staff yelled at us when we walked in early just for a hot cup of water to make tea from tea bags I brought myself. Amongst loads of other small cleanliness issues, the pool was fantastic.

This is the second time I’ve stayed at the Don Miguel. I went back because of the staff and the location. Had a lovely large, clean room with a nicely sized balcony that had a view of the main road but it wasn’t noisy and was nice to sit on and relax. Breakfast was always nice and tasty with something for everyone.

The room we asked to stay in was perfect - we were very happy the excellent hotel staff could arrange this for us. The cleanliness of the hotel is great and the cleaning staff are friendly. The breakfast is always excellent and the waiting staff are super efficient and also very kind and welcoming. The only thing to improve is the coffee - the coffee machine settings aren’t set well so the coffee is too watery. I preferred the coffee jugs… Jose Carlos the pool boy is always very friendly and helpful. The hotel location is also great. Looking forward to coming back again soon.

I had a wonderful experience at Servatur Don Miguel hotel. It has a excellent location, walking distance to yumbo Centre etc. it has a awesome swimming pool with a large sun bathing area. Hotel staff is very professional and friendly. Check in/out very easy and smooth. I highly recommended this hotel!

Hyggeligt hotel med rigtig god beliggenhed. Små 13-15 minutter i gåafstand til stranden, og 5-6 min til Yombo Center og busstoppested. Havde et standard værelse som var lidt lille - men hyggeligt. Selve swimmingpool området var lidt småt men fantastisk terrasse omkring.

Staff were very friendly and helpful, and the hotel was very well maintained. The room was spacious but could have done with a soft armchair - only 2 firm, upright chairs were available. The bathroom was a weird shape and needed a bit of manoeuvring to get around the door to the toilet! There is air conditioning but appeared to be no heating options, which could be an issue in the winter. The bed was quite hard, but they fitted a mattress topper on request, which was a significant improvement. Housekeeping was excellent, with daily service. The buffet breakfast was an amazing choice, with continental and cooked options, free flowing coffee from good quality machines, and even glasses of Cava some mornings! A choice of juices but only quite watery mixes. Staff constantly top up the food options and clear tables. Hotel is very close to the Yumbo shopping centre and plenty of restaurants. Plenty of poolside loungers and tables and chairs on a terrace with a bar that served a limited range of hot and cold snacks.

The room we asked to stay in was perfect - we were very happy the excellent hotel staff could arrange this for us. The cleanliness of the hotel is great and the cleaning staff are friendly. The breakfast is always excellent and the waiting staff are super efficient and also very kind and welcoming. The only thing to improve is the coffee - the coffee machine settings aren’t set well so the coffee is too watery. I preferred the coffee jugs… Jose Carlos the pool boy is always very friendly and helpful. The hotel location is also great. Looking forward to coming back again soon.

Overall a great stay - it was above our expectations. Service was great all round. Food was the highlight. Because the hotel doesn't offer All Inclusive, you can really tell they haven't had to cut back on the food quality. Lots of protein options every night, and it wasn't a fight to get a decent piece of meat or fish! Great selection that changed every night we were there (a week)

This is my 3rd stay this year at the Don Miguel. A lovely hotel which is made by the friendly staff. I would have given a 5 star review but the evening meal choice seems to have deteriorated since my last stay. Breakfast is great with good selections.

Often stay here when visiting Gran Canaria. Great location and hotel offers complimentary breakfast which is actually very good. The pool area is fantastic l but the hotel doesn’t seem to police the non hotel guests from using it, I actually got talking to a couple who even told me they weren’t staying there just liked the pool area, sometimes hard to find a lounger for that reason. The staff are always friendly and fun - looks like they enjoy working there. The rooms have had a small refresh in the past few years but still looking quite tired around the place. Some facade is cracking badly and the bathrooms are very average. I enjoyed the hotel bar/cafe but only complaint I would have is that quite often when you have finished dining and want to pay it’s really hard to get the staff‘s attention and you’re often sitting there for ages it’s quite frustrating. Even when i approached the bar/till area I was directed back to my table and they would come to me, but the staff just stood there waiting for orders to deliver when I think best use of time would be to complete the bill of diners finished then run an order when it’s done?

The staff was 5/5, very kind and helpful. This include everyone from receptionists, cleaning staff to breakfast personel. Breakfast was also excellent. Food was always fresh and good. The only issue was the layout, with different food stations very spread out. The only down-side imho were the rooms. They were very old-fashioned, and could use a modernization. But then again, I guess that would increase the price a lot.

The rooms are clean and comfortable, but they also need an overhaul due to wear, tear and general ageing. I would only consider staying here again if the price was a bargain and I'll avoid the place until I hear that there have been some long-overdue improvements.
