There was no elevator. Had to drag all of our stuff up to 2nd floor at the end of a long day. Hot breakfast consisted of waffles with no eggs or anything like that to go with it. The lady that was working was friendly and nice. It said pet friendly, but the guy made it seem like a big deal that my kitten would be sleeping in the room with us.

The side doors of this property were not locked which didn’t make me feel very safe. I had to pay $60 up front for “incidentals”. The room smelled very musty. Other than that, the room was about what you’d expect for the price. It was clean-ish and the staff was very friendly.

We have stayed at this hotel multiple times and always have a good experience. The owners are very friendly. This is a pet friendly hotel with lots of flat ground to walk your dog. They have basic continental breakfast with waffles. Hotel located right off highway near 2 truck stops and a Wendy's. Will be staying again soon

This place was dump! Carpet was disgusting and threadbare. There were several “long time” customers and the entire hall smelled like they were frying fish. No elevator and we were upstairs with lots of luggage. Save your money.

The space was clean enough, but the pet friendly room had damage to the floor that was not repaired. Waffles in the morning which is always a plus. Staff was friendly, but the information they had on file for charges was not the same as what I entered when making the reservation. Needed a last minute overnight stay on our road trip that accepts pets. This was all I could find. Check-in was easy. 2 floors w interior stairs no elevator, yet they had luggage carts. We were in a 2 queen room. Kind of small for 1 dog, 2 adults and 1 tween. Room was ok. The bathroom wall by the toilet paper dispenser had some questionable stains the switches too had some brown stain. Bathroom tub needs to be updated. Pets stay free with a $50 deposit which is a big . For the price point it was ok for 1 night. Breakfast is also included.

This was probably our 6th stay in 9 years at the hotel and it will be our last. We have stayed everytime we go down to visit but the hotel keeps getting more rundown. There are weird stains on carpets in hallway and even worse smell. We had to get toilet paper and new towels as NO one cleaned our room. Text message at check in said it would be cleaned on 3rd day but never was. We were there 6 nights. Sad to see such a great place in the past just ran horribly now. The only bright spot was Tiffany at front desk

The room was dirty and when we pulled back the sheets there were black hairs all over the bed sheets so I don’t think they were washed. I’m totally disgusted by that. The walls and doors were marked up pretty bad and the shower had no shelves in it to put your soap or shampoo

Smelled like weed in the halls. smelled like old house in rooms. Felt sticky from air condition in Room. Tape holding cabinet up. Blood on the ceiling. Wood floor was nice, much better than carpet at other hotels. Beds were nice. Waffles were delicious and the breakfast lady was very sweet. Dining area was small.

The smell of smoke and musk was really strong in the room. If there wasn’t a smell I could have tolerated sleeping here. I tried covering my face for the night with the blankets/sheets which helped. The owner is extremely friendly and the bed was clean. The bathroom on the other hand was not. There were dead bugs in the ceiling light and the corners/crevices of the room were caked with old grime. I feel sorry leaving this review but yikes

It was reasonable for a night stay, clean rooms, but the hallways desperately needs carpet cleaned. Very much appreciated the doggy bags available near the doors. The breakfast was non existent, and the coffee was empty and no one was around to ask to fill it. The sink in my room backed up, had no idea until I went to leave. Dogs loved it, they weren’t over stimulated by other rooms customers or staff. Suggesting to me, walls aren’t too thin and the rooms are cleaned properly as they weren’t sniffing everything, distracting them.

Payed less than $90 for the room so I can't complain. Literally just wanted a place to get some sleep. Arrived at midnight. Staff was great. Breakfast was meh, but I've paid more for a hotel and had worse. TV didn't work. Giant spider in the bathtub and shower head and handle were loose but worked.

There’s not much competition in this area for RRI to put forth more than the minimum effort. The hallways are kept at a balmy 80 degrees. The days of a quality or even semi quality breakfast is in the history books. Toast, cereal, mini waffles is the extent of the menu. Yep that’s it. Coffee was respectable. showers are always nice after a long day. The shelf that looked like it was stuck on with caulk is missing. Exposed wires and open exhaust fan was curiously interesting to stare at (after the respectable coffee)… I yelled at the dog in the middle of the night. I thought he peed. It was the AC unit backing up condensation onto the floor.

While it's obviously an older property, I hope that the owner realizes the value of it, and continues putting some TLC touches on it. This place is a gemstone that may have a rough spot or two, but with a bit of polish, it will truly shine! Definitely a great value for the price! I slept well, and I'm picky about beds! If I'm ever seeking accommodations again in the area, I'll be sure to book again!

The room itself was clean as was the bed, no concerns with the overall condition of the room at all but I was frustrated that other guests were allowed to blast their music straight through the night and management did nothing. It started at 10pm and was still going when I checked out at 530am. The floors and walls were shaking and it was clearly audible from the lobby. I left there more tired than when I arrived.

They charged me an extra $100 with no explanation. When I called to ask why they said “their computers were down, and that they would get back with me.” Only they never got back with me. When I called back a second time I got a voicemail where I explained that I needed to know why I was charged the extra $100 or I would be leaving this on a review. I never heard back from them. Hence the review. My son and I are tidy hotel stayers, and literally just stayed the night, showered, ate breakfast and left. Customer service should be a top priority when dealing with people and is extremely lacking. I consider this theft.

Nothing I liked well enough to talk about. Dislikes: I had already paid for the room on line but there was a problem with how money was distfibuted anyhow took 30 minutes to check in. I guess the room was clean but it didnt sparkle or have a fresh smell. The flooring was coming up in a couple areas.

Pet Friendly. The person that checked me is part of a criminal Scam. He gave my Name, cell phone number, Room Number to someone that called the motel for me! He knew the very 1st number on my credit card! When I resisted, he cursed me out then hung up. I was scared!

The Red Roof in Franklin was clean and comfortable. The neighborhood was safe. If you head into Franklin, it's a cool older town. The downtown area (about a mile and a half away) has some neat little shops, and it's a pretty place. The room needed some work on little things, like a cracked light switch and maybe a paint job. The breakfast was bread, some rolls, cereal, and a waffle maker, so don't be too excited about it even though it does fill the hole. You get a little more than what you pay for here.

The Person at the desk was very friendly and the room was clean. However, no coffee or extras in the room. The breakfast was so limited. Only hot food was the waffles and that you had to prepare. No other hot foods, i.e. eggs, sausage, gravy, etc. Thank goodness there was fresh coffee.
