Bon Hotel bien placé dans Funchal. Pensez par contre à bien reserver d’avance par mail ou téléphone si comme nous vous avez loué une voiture de location car il est assez difficile de se garer dans le quartier ou il faut passer par le centre commercial qui vous facture 15euros.

The staff was very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was fresh and they typically had a lot of variety. The location is very close to the town center and the parking is right across the street. The only negative I can think of is that the hotel is undergoing a renovation and it can get pretty loud and noisy at times.

Wonderful experience. The front desk staff was kind, patient. The bar was cute and you can certainly sit outside. It's walkable to all of downtown shopping. The rooms are small, clean, and have what we needed (shampoo, soap, towels). Just as an FYI, there is parking available for 10 euros/night. Since we arrived late and were only staying 1 night, we were able to find street parking for cheaper. We enjoyed the welcome champagne. The included breakfast was very good! I would definitely recommend and will be back.

Great location in the centre of the old town. Hotel is a bit tired, and sound proofing between rooms is pretty poor. Breakfast buffet is quite limited in choice. I was surprised that you had to request and pay extra for a fridge for the room… The rooftop is great with plenty of loungers, the poolside bar was not open while I was there despite the pool area being full of guests on several days - this is a missed opportunity. It’s a shame that more is not made of the mid-century design - which is very on trend and could be a real feature. The staff were lovely and the welcome glass of fizz at check-in was a nice touch.

On a side street so not a lot of traffic noise. Supermarket 3 min walk. Staff so friendly and helpful and serving staff brilliant, quietly super efficient. Room was very good, balcony, great shower. Cleaned every day.

Ich hatte wunderbarer Aufenthalt mit sehr freundlichem und hilfsbereiten Personal🙂 bei meinem check-in wurde ich mit Glas Sekt begrüßt, sowas hat mir noch nicht mal in fünf Sterne Hotel passiert☝ Zimmer sind geräumig und sehr sauber und was das Frühstück betrifft, es hat mindestens vier Sterne verdient, verschiedene Sorte von Käse und Wurst, warmen Gerichte, und vor allem mundgerecht geschnittene Obst, mindestens fünf Sorten🙂 alles ist um die Ecke und wunderbar in ein paar Gehminuten zu Fuß erreichbar🙂 ich konnte leider nur zwei Nächte bleiben den restliche Zeit von meiner Aufenthalt wurde ausgebucht und ich musste umziehen😪

Room was very dusty with marks on bathroom door and walls that could easily be remived with a wet wipe, so not thoroughly cleaned. Corridors were also really dusty. Thick dust on door frames and skirting boards. Great location!! Staff quite unhelpful and dismissive.

Gute Unterkunft abseits des großen Hotelviertels dafür zu Fuß 2 Minuten bis zur Altstadt. Lage war für uns perfekt. Auf dem Dach gibt es einen Hotel-Pool der sauber ist, Liegen stehen zur Verfügung. Das Frühstück was mittelmäßig, komplett ausreichend und frisch aber auch nichts besonderes. Und die Säfte sollte man kalt stellen! Wer möchte warmen Fruchtsaft trinken? Die Hotelanlage an sich ist in die Jahre gekommen. Moderne Standards werden nicht erfüllt und das Mobiliar ist veraltet. Zum Schlafen reicht es und die Sauberkeit im Zimmer war gegeben. Der größte Kritikpunkt ist das Bad. Es war oberflächlich sauber aber hier muss ganz dringed mal wieder eine Grundreinigung rein. Die Baddecken sind ganz einfach dreckig und werden anscheind nicht gereinigt. Die Tür ging nicht zu verschließen und generell machte das Bad einen sehr alten Eindruck.

Un très bon hotel. L'accueil est excellent : de mon arrivée (tardive le soir) à mon départ (tôt le matin), le personnel a été aux petits soins et très attentionné. La chambre était très bien. Le balcon est un espèce agréable, avec une jolie vue le matin. Petit point d'attention sur l'isolation avec l'extérieur, qui n'était pas excellente. Le petit déjeuner est honnête. We highly recommend this hotel. It was in a very good location to get to the Mercado and the cable car, as well as any place in Funchal. We don’t recommend having a car in Funchal. It’s definitely a walking town. Special thanks to the receptionist. She makes the hotel a higher rating. She was very helpful with recommendations and overall being so dedicated to us having a terrific stay. We would stay here again, unfortunately it was already booked

Fantastisk hotell i hjertet av den gamle delen av Funchal. Det jeg vil løftet fram først og fremst er personalet ved hotellet. Fantastisk service, man blir møtt med et smil og de hjelper til med det meste av det du trenger hjelp til. Absolutt et av de bedre hotellene jeg har bodd på. Hotellet er litt gammelt, men har masse sjarm. Vi sov veldig godt alle nettene her. Fine og rene rom, og god seng. Jeg kommer absolutt hit igjen.

Super freundliches Personal. Gute Lage, ruhig, nah am Zentrum. Gutes Frühstück, wurde rasch nachgefüllt. Nur die Kaffeemaschine war häufig überfordert. Wurst/Käseangebot täglich gleich, hier wäre etwas Abwechslung nett. Zimmer okay, etwas alt. Matratze mir zu hart. 2 Garderobehaken für Jacken wäre hilfreich, auch eine weitere Ablage im Bad wäre nett.

Good location, with balcony, no AC but there is a fan and when we went, it was 18C outside. If you are hiking or touring early, they can prepare a mini breakfast for you which is pretty awesome. Otherwise, the regular breakfast is @ 7:30 and it’s pretty good. They still use manual keys for door locks. Has a pool but we didn’t use it. Helpful staff.
