Close to Plymouth Hoe and not to far from city centre. Parking is not really possible on the roads. You have to use the public car park which is not cheap.

First the staff at this hotel were super helpful providing clear instructions for our late check in and ensured we knew we could contact them if we had any issues with check in. Free parking is limited but we found on street parking nearby. Location is nice and quiet, a couple minutes walk from Plymouth hoe which was lovely to go and grab some brekkie from in the morning with a nice view. Whilst we didn't feel the need to bring this to our attention, the room is dated especially the bathroom which is need of some tlc (sink is cracked and needs replacing, not just pollyfiller).

We enjoyed our stay. We hadn’t realised that there is no lift and we were on the highest floor so we will request a lower floor in future. The stairs are quite narrow and steep. My partner had to carry my case up for me. That said, the hotel is in a good location, with friendly staff and very substantial cooked-to-order-breakfasts. The room was a decent size and we did like the hotel.

Ok Expensive for what it was. Small room on 4th floor no lift, was not made aware of this at booking and with elderly mother she found the stairs hard. Shower did not work, broken. Parking very limited and could not reserve. Okay very basic

Good location near the Hoe and walkable to the City Centre. The hotel has limited parking but we were lucky to get the last free slot. There is lots of parking on the street but you have to pay, even for overnight. Breakfast was OK with prompt service.

Great value especially for single travellers. Rooms small but with everything you need. On street parking is £2.50 for after 9 pm until 9am. For those with limited mobility DO need to check location of room as there is no lift and we were on the 4th floor. We managed ok but wouldn’t want to climb stairs too often in 1 day! I would definitely recommend this hotel though, pleasant helpful staff. Room very clean and comfortable.

hotel. Rooms were clean. Staff were very welcoming. Parking outsude (paid) In a great pisition for The Hoe, Theatre Royal and city centre. Downside was our room was on 5th floor, no lift and stairs were very steep. Would stay again but only on the proviso we were on a lower floor (we are both the wtong side of 65 and struggled). Good choice of breakfast foods. I had french toast with fruit n maple sauce. Partner had the same next day but was only given one sliced strawberry and no blueberries - he was very disappointed.!

I stayed here as a solo traveller. The room was basic but had everything I needed and was generally clean although it could have been a bit better under the bed. The bed itself was comfortable and I slept well once I managed to get to sleep. The walls were thin and I could hear my neighbours’ loud music until I eventually drifted off which was a downside. The staff were friendly and lovely throughout my stay. The car park was full so I bought a parking permit from reception for £10. Unfortunately, I was wrongly advised about where I could park which resulted in a parking ticket — disappointing as it could have been avoided. Very average for the price. No fridge, no air con, no lift. Stains on the mattress and bedding which was not a nice discovery. On top of that was charged for items we didn’t even use so had to argue our case. Will not be staying again

Shower cubicle needs a revamp and something to put soap, shampoo etc in Carpet looked a bit grubby Bed wasn't comfortable, too soft for me, guess may suit others There is a guest lounge/dining room complete with fridge & microwave, but the lady who checked me in didn't advise me about it. A bonus if you know about it!

Only thing was the rooms furniture was a little dated and the room was very dusty! I clean air b&b for a living so noticed these thing’s ! The staff were very welcoming/helpful. Breakfast was good with lots of options,so all in all we would stay again

I really enjoyed my stay at the Grosvenor. I appreciated its history and the two lounges had comfy seating. It was a few minutes walk away from The Hoe where I enjoyed strolling and sitting on the benches looking out onto the water. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was very clean, as was the bathroom. I loved the deep bath. The bed was comfortable and the blackout curtains made the room nice and dark for sleeping. Breakfast was delicious with many options. I highly recommend this hotel.

This hotel was such good value The room was clean and spacious. There were plenty of clean, white, fluffy towels and miniature toiletries. The reception contacted us to check arrival time and to see if we needed anything. The staff were so welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely stay again next time we're in Plymouth.

Nice welcoming staff and clean room. The single bed was appalling, uncomfortable and creaked like a Napoleonic warship even with the slightess movement. Not a restful night despite a quiet location in the hotel.

The staff we had interaction with were very friendly and helpful. Our room was upgraded at the property, not sure why. The rooms have no air conditioning which could be an issue with the weather recently and one of our towels had a stain. We had to park 2 streets over as it is very limited at the hotel.

We had a nights stay in the grand suite or the fancy room as the receptionist put. The room was lovely and spacious with a large bathroom with a free standing bath. A comfy four poster bed lovely which aided a good night sleep. Staff were friendly and very accomodating.

I rarely write reviews, but the service at this hotel was exceptional and deserves recognition. An issue with the booking - not their fault at all - was swiftly and calmly dealt with by a lovely member of staff - unfortunately I didn’t get her name - but she went the extra mile to ensure that I wasn’t disappointed. And I wasn’t. The room was lovely, and spotlessly clean. Every other member of staff I met showed the same smiling, happy, can-do attitude. Nothing appeared to be too much trouble. I highly recommend this hotel and really hope that I have an opportunity to stay there again in the future.

Well located and good value for money hotel with easy access to the waterfront and marina areas. Comfortable enough beds in well proportioned rooms. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is good and sets you up for the day. Parking may be an issue but i was able to find a space (payable) close to the hotel.

The Grosvenor Plymouth provides a clean, comfortable lodgings with an excellent breakfast. Just a short walk from the Plymouth harbour and a short taxi ride from the train station, the Grosvenor proved to be a wonderful location for our stay.

The staff received us warmly and provided all the necessary information. The location of the hotel is just great. Close to Plymouth Sound one can have nice walks and a good choice of small restaurants directly at the seaside. Absolutely recommendable.

Second stay at this lovely independent hotel. Even better than the first stay as no issue with a squeaky bed this time and everything else was as good as before. Great location near The Hoe and a short walk down to the city centre. Brought my car this time and parking was no problem. All staff, both on reception and at breakfast were happy and smiling, which costs nothing but makes a big difference. Look forward to returning.

Everything was good, apart from the coffee at breakfast. Investing in a good coffee machine with decent coffee beans would be a big improvement (I couldn't drink the coffee). Also provide some small espresso cups which many foreign guests would prefer. Despite this small complaint, I would recommend the Hotel. Nioce people, great location, good value.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Grosvenor. I appreciated its history and the two lounges had comfy seating. It was a few minutes walk away from The Hoe where I enjoyed strolling and sitting on the benches looking out onto the water. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was very clean, as was the bathroom. I loved the deep bath. The bed was comfortable and the blackout curtains made the room nice and dark for sleeping. Breakfast was delicious with many options. I highly recommend this hotel.

We had a nights stay in the grand suite or the fancy room as the receptionist put. The room was lovely and spacious with a large bathroom with a free standing bath. A comfy four poster bed lovely which aided a good night sleep. Staff were friendly and very accomodating.

The room was old and tired, there was no 'steam' iron, just one with a hot metal base which was useless considering i needed to iron shirts and trousers for work. There is no breakfast either.

An impressive looking building in an ideal location, situated not far from the waterfront with friendly staff to greet us. However, that's where the advantages ended. We were given the key to a very tired looking room, with loose and ripped wallpaper, the whole room required some much needed tlc. The mattress was uncomfortable and the shower screen in the bathroom needed maintenance. We had no hot water for the length our stay and by the following morning we had no water from the hot tap at all, which was also loose. As we were checking out there was clearly a plumbing issue as buckets and towels were placed in several places on the ground floor. The staff were clearly busy and unavailable for me to comment about our experience at The Grovsener, had we been staying for more than one night I would of insisted of being moved to another room. We are regular visitors to Plymouth and will probably not be making another booking here.

1. Hair in the sink in the bathroom. 2.Plug in the sink is too small to retain water. 3.I had to waste water to enable the hot water to run long enough to reach 50 degrees to kill bacteria. 4.bathroom toilet brush holder was full of water and bits of extrament. 5.lighting in main room is too dull especially over the kettle area. 6. NO escape plan diagramme in the room even if it was you wouldnt see it through poor lighting. 7. Curtain tieback broken. 8. Bed headboard and frame was loose needed tightening squeek 9. NO door handle on the inside of the main door only a tiny latch which I think was upside down ( push it down to open not lock) 10. glass shelve under the mirror in the bathroom was loose and bodged with a plastic wall plug in an attempt to keep it level, good job only plastic cup on it otherwise it would of fallen off, 11. Bathroom fan turns off with light no run on time to get rid of the steam or mist. 12. Shower head not cleaned. (monthly maintenance) 13. Curtain hooks missing so sagging curtain. 14. Not cleaned under the bed otherwise they would of found the plastic bottle and lid. 15. Gap under the door large enough to let the light in from the landing/stairwell, hardley fire resistant for 30mins. (attemp to increase the light in the room maybe!!) 16. Bedside lights very fiddley to find the small switch high up too. 17. Parking is a pain and VERY EXPENSIVE. overnight parking finishes at 0600 so an early morning wake up for you. £19 for 6pm to 6am,
