The property was not well maintained. We had to change rooms due to TV not working and clogged sink. There were no Hand towels provided. Worn linens and peeling of shower / tub. I have photos to prove my claims. The exterior door did not latch, there was zero safety component in place. Anyone off the street could walk right in. The locking mechanism on the interior door to our room was broke. And the electronics hanging out. The toilet was stained black, the tub was filthy. We left the hotel, asked for a refund due to the safety issues but were denied. The pictures online are not the current look of the hotel. The front entry is in shambles, and the entrance door had no locking mechanism either. I did not feel safe staying at this property and will be requesting a refund. I feel like we were completely scammed. What we purchased is definitely not what we got.

We showed up to the property with no lights in the parking lot or a lite sign letting us know that it was the property. Outside conditions were not pleasant and inside curtains were ripped and hanging from one side of the widows. The front desk clerk had a dirty torn hoodie with the smell of marijuana. We had a room on the second floor with no elevator. We entered our room not expecting too much from the encounters that we already endured. Being we traveled three hours to get here, I was in need of using the rest room to find that the toilet was full of human feces. We decided then that we will not be using their facilities for our over night stay. We returned to the front desk and let the clerk know that we will be cancelling our stay with a full refund to our credit card. She cancelled the card and sent an email. We are waiting now to see if there are any charges to the card, if they will be disputed. With that note, if you are planning on staying over night in Laurel Mississippi, it might be best to get an air BNB because there are little to no properties to stay. This trip out of many I would say is our worst.

The hotel is being renovated/remodeled, they have also had a hard time it looks like several rooms were broken. They also had forgotten to put towels or wash clothes in the room as well. The pool sadly was also being renovated or repaired which was a bummer because we picked this hotel because it had a pool. All things considered their Breakfast was probably one of the best we’ve had at a hotel since Covid. That made the stay better and the staff were friendly.

It was a terrible place to stay. The room was filthy and outdated. The service was horrible the housekeepers are lazy. They didn't ask if my family needed anything I had to call the front desk and tell them our room needed cleaning. The pool was not available because they were to cheap to get it up and going. There was no elevators and my husband is disabled. This place sucked. I wouldn't advise anyone to stay there.

Entry door which was supposed to require room key to enter was never locked. Could not access WiFi. Manager had a special way to access it so we could be connected. Our room key pad was taped on with clear tape. Bedside lamp didn’t work so hubby had to switch it with desk lamp. We loved Laurel but this property is very tired and in desperate need of massive renovation.

This property was so run down and depressing. We toughed it out to stay one night but would never go back again. Breakfast was the cheapest possible and the dining area was dilapidated. The light over the bathroom mirror was missing all the light tubes. The bedding was gray instead of white and the pillow were not standard but little square throw pillow. Stay away!

The room was filthy. Carpet was sticky bro always had to wear shoes, mold in refrigerator and coffee pot. The bathroom floor had trash on the floor and look like someone used the bathroom all over toilet and floor. Bathtub was dirty and stained. Absolutely FILTHY. The lobby and the small breakfast room were the only parts not falling apart or covered in mold. EPIC white sox test FAIL. They were so wet and black after one night that I threw them away. You cant see out of the window, its so dirty and fogged. The pool obviouly hasnt been used in years and the funiture was litterally in shreds. The bathtub was too dirty to shower in. Its a shame because this hotel was obviously very nice once....but there was an old yellow, corded phone attatched to the wall by the toilet, so I'll let you speculate when.

When we arrived, we asked where the elevator was, and the desk clerk snapped "ain\'t no elevator." Ain\'t no ketchup, good coffee, fresh tasting breakfast, trash pickup or (worst of all) comfortable bed either. Both beds in the room were horribly uncomfortable. How they managed to make a mattress that is saggy and too hard at the same time, I have no idea, but I have learned that it is possible. I had such bad pack pain the two mornings after that half a tube of back pain ointment was the only thing that gave relief. It\'s getting really depressing for budget travelers that a good bed and fresh cup of coffee is only possible if you pay $200 a night.

The front desk night staff was friendly and welcoming. The condition of the hotel is NOTHING like the pictures. Everything needs updated from the stained towels and furniture to the springy matress and old fixtures. The room next door has not been replaced since someone used a battering ram to open it......spend some money updating your stuff. We will not be back

This is an old hotel and it shows. The sofa had a rip in it, there was mold in the bathroom and the carpet was old. The tv wouldn’t come on at first but the desk attendant came and fixed it. The bed was very comfortable and clean and the bathroom was clean but had no soap. The little fridge worked fine. The hotel was ok for the price but I probably wouldn’t stay there again.

The staff that we encountered were all extremely helpful and polite. They are what made this stay a positive experience. On the flip side the water temperature in the shower was not very warm, The breakfast was sub par, the biscuits were cold and hard, the beagle was the same, and the eggs / omelettes were similar in nature.

When we arrived to check in, no one was at the desk and it took some one over 45 minutes to come out from where ever they were. When we finally got in our room, one of the pillows didn’t have a pillow case and it had brown stains all over it. There was no smoking area outside, you just had to “find a spot” When we went down to breakfast at 7am there was no waffle mix and the gentleman said it would be 30 minutes because the man that makes it would be there then.

We started in a room on the 2nd floor and were told there was no elevator. My wife had trouble getting up and down. The room smelled like men's cologne and the TV made a horrible screeching noise even though it was off so we had to unplug it. There were no towels so I tried to call room service but the phone didn't work, so i called with my cellphone. They brought us threadbare stained towels. We tried to use the shower and the safety bar came out of the wall. There was no hot water or water pressure. We had them move us to the 1st floor and i told the manager everything that happened. They said nothing about fixing it, but they did tell me that the elevator had been removed when hurricane Katrina destroyed it. The new room was not much better with a toilet that was leaking all over the bathroom floor. The dining area near the front desk had no supplies so my wife and I searched the drawers and found some plates and open packs of utensils. When we checked out at the end of our stay,I was told that if I wanted a discount or refund, I would have to take it up with hotels.com.

Front door not obvious due to small door w/o drive under awning. Peeling/chipping paint in bathroom. Pool nearly empty of water (I know off season but looked bad). Breakfast not good; lady said there was more eggs and sausage cooking but never brought any out. No fruit. Had waffle irons and batter holder out, but no batter. Only whole milk. Room did seem clean and AC worked.

Apparently no maintenance is being done on this old property. Everything was broke, chipped, stained or not working. And to top it off they don't offer coffee or tea in their breakfast room. How can you not have coffee???
