Super 8 by Wyndham Independence KS

There was no ice bucket or coffe maker in the room. Breakfast was very limited and extremely unsanitary!!! Remote control was broken and there no ac in the halls.

Older hotel, but comfortable clean room. Had fans running in the hallway as they were hot, but the rooms were cool

The rooms are clean The pool is nice.

The pool was filled in with dirt!!! What's that all about??

Rarely do I elect to stay at a Super 8 but this one was good! Parking easy and it was quiet with no issues. I couldn't have been more pleased with my choice.

The room felt nicely cleaned upon arrival. I found it odd that most of the customers appeared to be in one end of the hotel. (making it a little noisier when sleeping under an occupied room). Breakfast and lobby area quite nice. Pleasant interaction with the desk attendant upon check in. It felt safe, and I had no concerns about the vehicle. The parking lot area behind the hotel for trucks was in a bit of desrepair. The AC worked nicely, and we slept comfortably.

Asked for handicap room, it had flooding issues. Wanted 2 queens, got 1 queen. No bars in tub/shower, low toilet ( hate them). Staff was very, very nice. That was my only issue-not having handicap room.

The grill area is not clean, the grass was too high, I had to cook my rib eye steak inthese conditions, there was no pool either.☹️

Had a good stay. Convenient parking but no elevator. Being 65, I had difficulty with getting my Coleman ice cooler up the stairs. When checking in, I asked the person who was checking me in that I preferred a ground floor room and after several minutes of waiting, I told him that I would take the room on the second floor. I had stayed at the same hotel before and had a ground floor room.

Overall was good. There were a few little bugs in the room.

The property is clean and staff friendly and helpful. My concern came up when the door to the room was propped open and trash was still in the room. I went back to the front desk and The staff came and spent time cleaning in the bathroom though did not see what they had to do. Not sure what i can trust was clean but had to sleep

Although they stated they were mid-updates , the state of the bathroom and the carpets in the room was disgusting .

Quick and clean rooms

They had remodeled the lobby/breakfast area since the last time we had stayed there. That part looked very nice. My room on ground floor was not very clean. Shower insert was missing grab bar, had two holes in insert where bar had been. There was black "stuff" on the carpet in front of the heating/cooling unit and on the side of bedspread nearest the unit. I asked the desk clerk if there was a vacuum I could use. They gave me one, no offer to clean it (guess it\'s "self service") and said they\'d "check the unit out" (don\'t know if that ever happened). I was there 5 nights. Second day, no trash pickup, no towels, had to go to desk (again) and ask for towels as I\'d been gone all day and housekeeping was already gone. Lighting on backside of motel was so bright, I could have read a newspaper at night with lights off. Heating/cooling unit was so loud it would wake me up as it cycled (about every minute all night long). I had the choice of turning it completely off or changing to fan only which apparently acclimated to outside temp and by morning would drop inside temps to quite low. By the end of the 5 days I was pretty much sleep deprived. One day I was there quite a bit and it sounded like a WWF match upstairs. Housekeeping said they were remodeling the upstairs rooms. Hope they do the downstairs at some point. Doubt I\'d stay there again any time soon.

Shower was nasty, had black private hair on the wall, the bottom of the walls had mold on them along with the shower curtain, the bed was hard and small flat pillows that smelled of smoke. The staff was helpful but didn’t supply a Wi-Fi password. The breakfast is a joke.

Air Conditioning definitely struggled in that Kansas heat, our room was warm during the day with the AC running but the early mornings and overnight were perfect. I have stayed her many times as I am an avid hunter but then again that’s in the fall/winter months. So this was different to expertise the heat, but none the less, still had an enjoyable stay and will definitely stay again.

Quiet easy check-in but room had a funny smell

Staff was pleasant. The property was very clean. The beds were a bit too firm.

The front staff were amazing. They answered all my questions and fulfilled my hotel needs/request. The rooms are updated and well kept. Will definitely stay again when in Independence, KS.

One of the cleanest hotels I have ever stayed in , I stayed close to the front desk and it was however very noisy at night

Walls are very thin. People are very noisy in the hallway. Had to run the air conditioner all evening to block out the noise.

Very clean, very nice staff, comfortable bed, my only complaint is we were in the very closest room to the check in desk which wouldn’t have been and issue but there were so many people being loud outside of our room until about 4 am!

Zero effert on the breakfast. Just enough to advertise they have one. Hardly stock what they do offer, unless you want the 2 cerals. Nicely remodeled rooms. 1 wash cloth per room. Very nice for price.

We had an enjoyable, comfortable stay. The whole hotel was recently remodeled and everything looked fresh and clean. The front desk staff Ulysses was friendly and speedy. Our room had nice new furniture and most importantly, a very comfortable mattress. They had a pretty full breakfast with hot pancakes plus yoghurt and cereal so that was extra nice too. We’d definitely stay here again.

We stayed Friday and Saturday night. Left Saturday morning and Sunday at 5:00am and the parking lot was practically empty. When we asked why our rooms were on the second floor and at the end of the hall, the reply was they were well booked. I felt it was a lie.

Had issues checking in as someone already tried to check me in before i arrived and charged a card i had no intentions of using.

Friendly and helpful staff.

I only have 1 maybe 2 complaints, 1 I was laying in bed and I heard keys rattling at the door, I assumed it was my husband, it was not. It was a male staff member and he opened the door without knocking, poked his head into the room. He did leave immediately but it was disturbing and kind of scared me. I could tell he was there to clean the room and I guess maybe that was my fault for not having the tag on the door? Also I wish you had bigger towels.

The staff worked hard to accommodate our stay but rooms were not pre-assigned as I thought they were. It worked out fine for us, but we were scattered throughout the hotel rather than grouped as I had asked. Breakfast was mediocre but understandable with remnants of Covid restrictions.

Building looked nice. toilet did not always fully flush. lots of house flies. no hot coffee.

Could be the location. There was nothing to choose from for breakfast! There was a pancake maker machine, a loaf of bread and a toaster. Stale cereal, spoiled milk in the same container all week. The 3 of 4 days I didn’t even bother cause nothing looked clean and nothing was going to be done about it. I won’t be returning!

very quiet room. variety for breakfast, but a protein would have been nice. even if just a string cheese. heater smelled. Staff were helpful and friendly.

The property wad very clean. Staff were very friendly. Will definitely stay there again and recommend this location. But could have had alittle more breakfast options though but what they did have was nice
