Over all experience was very good. Room was outstanding as well as the breakfast options. Pool area was the only concern. Hot tub jets did not work to well and the water was warm at best. Pool water was very cold so was use to much.

Only issue was pool closure on Saturday i understand the pump shut down so closing down at some point necessary but seeing as no was in the pool until early saturday evening allowing a few hours of swimmimg would not be a health alert

The chlorine smell from the pool knocks you on your feet when you walk in. I was going to use the pool but the smell was over whelming. The hallways are very dim. No complaints about the room itself. There's fast food options around the hotel for food. I didn't partake in the free breakfast.

Our stay was great, friendly staff, rooms cleaned everyday. Buffet breakfast was good. Pool was good bud could do with a paint job as it made pool look dirty but it wasnt. Overall a 8 out of 10.

The front desk and breakfast area staff were warm and professional. Entrance is beautifully decorated. Only negatives were the rusty exercise bikes next to the pool and whirlpool; they were covered but from the inside of the pool you could see the corroded bases. Bathroom had some flyway hairs on the floor and near the tub so I wouldn’t say the cleanliness was excellent. But all the good outweighs these negatives so I would stay there again.

Ive stayed here a few times, each time decent to good. This time, the service was great as usual, however, the room was not clean. There was black hair all over the bathroom floor and the shower walls. The tub drained really really slow, there was a couple of pieces of chewed gum on the floor at the end of the bed, and a water bottle cap under the table between the beds. The beds were not comfortable, lumpy, and the AC was not only partially functioning, but was really really loud each time it turned on. It actually woke me and my partner up about 3 times throughout the night and into the early morning. Also, the curtains are not black out curtains, they let in a lot of sunlight in the morning. You cannot pull the thicker curtains all the way closer due to the rack only allows the curtain to cover about a foot to a foot and a half on each side then stops. Breakfast was decent. Pool was decent and stays open until 12am. I stayed in room 120 for reference. Also, the room was $180 a night, or $375 for 2 nights. In Freeport. There was no events going on for the price to be this expensive.

After a long drive we checked in and were assigned a room that smelled horribly of smoke and mold. There were dead bugs on the floor and the carpet was very dirty. My wife and children could not stay in the room due to their asthma with the smells. We requested a different room and were a second. The second room had the same smell. The front desk attendant then stated that the rooms on the second floor might be better for us. We then went to the second floor and examined a room there. That room was much better as far as smell. There were hairs on the beds as well as large red stains on the carpeting. This was the last available room so we had the stay in that one. The beds were not very comfortable but we had no choice.

1st room was very dirty. Trash left in bathroom from prior guests, extremely stained and dingy feeling carpets. Smelled. Front desk attendant came up and said "It does even smell THAT bad". Um. It shouldn\'t smell at all. They moved us to another room but it was like we were being unreasonable. Had stated there before without problems so was very disappointed with this room and staff.

We stay here every year. It is usually busy and can’t control the behavior of other guests. The one thing the hotel can update is the slamming doors when guests can’t control it themselves. Otherwise, very comfortable hotel and nice staff.

So we booked months in advance because multiple family need room for a celebration of life.....my wife has seriius back issues and after we booked realized we had check in at 3pm, however we landed at 550am. No way cam my wife fly fro Ca, and sit etc around till 3pm. So i called hotel to discuss check in issues I figured get car, get breakfast and drive 2 hour we would be ther about 10am. Hotel manager said they would have staff clean room to be ready by 10am. I was so thankful, the managers response was if i was in your position i would hope someone would accommodate in the same way, that is 5 star plus customer service!!! The room, the staff were great. Come on now endless cookies too ! 2nd night issue at midnight and 230am fire alarm in our room went off like there was a fire so yes i went in emergency mode called desk nobody, ran down nobody, it finally stopped but 230am same thing however i disconnected it this time, still no staff.Reporred to desk at 730am,maintenance addressed issue around 930. Anyways it got repaired, so this was our experience. No sleeped wasnt fun either but im not trying to deduct stars because it was an unexpected maintenance issue. Everything else was great.....expedia took care of us ! We would/ will stay here again if and when we go back

The staff at this hotel were the real stars of it, they were very friendly and extremely accommodating. Room was clean and quiet, and had all the amenities that I needed for my short stay. Highly recommend this property.

I visit family once or twice a year in Freeport IL. Country Inn is perfect. In town. Close to restaurants. Free breakfast. The only reason it’s not perfect is 2x the hot tub was broke. Otherwise works well coming from out of town. Happy with their service, friendly people.

Great location. Over priced for what it is. I have stayed at plenty better for less. Staff raved abut a complete hot breakfast. Breakfast was awful and unfortunately not all the options as most other hotels. We won’t be back.
