Room itself was clean and well kept. The bed was very comfortable and good size. No bugs! Check-in was annoying as they were clearly in training and seemed to be siblings arguing. It was taking a long time and I had been traveling a very long day and needed to sleep. I understand training needs to happen but I could do without the sibling rivalry. Parking was easy. The gentleman at checkout was very pleasant. Suggestion - get rid of the small styrofoam coffee cups and invest in better, larger paper cups and real cream. SInce you do not provide a standard breakfast option it would be nice to have a full cup of coffee with real cream.

This was my 2nd stay so I can now say that our great stay the 1st time wasn’t a fluke. My pup has a specialist vet in Mandeville and the closer “pet friendly” hotels charge a $75 fee (not deposit), which puts a basic room at almost $200. I took a chance on this property last month and will be a forever customer when traveling with my pup. There is no charge or deposit for 1 pet!!!! It’s not fancy and doesn’t have many amenities but the rooms are incredibly clean and comfortable. I do splurge on the premium room and find the bed to be as comfy (if not more) than some pricier chains. I’m normally not a fan of exterior doors but when traveling with a pet, it’s perfect. I can back my car right up to my room so I’m not trying to haul all my stuff through a lobby while wrangling a pup. There’s no carpet (which I love) and there’s a coffeemaker, hairdryer, microwave , and fridge in the room. I’ll sum this up and say if you’re not looking for a lot of amenities and just want a clean room with excellent bedding that’s extremely budget friendly, this is it!

I stay here whenever I am driving thru but the last two times if has not been good. First time the room was run down I choose the handicap room since did not want to haul my stuff up the stairs. The way back our room's floor was so dirty. I had my Swiffer with me, so I mopped it and OMG it was so gross. It was like the bed was changed but the bathroom or floors were not done. The rubber mat was in the shower still with hair on it. If the bathtub was clean the mat would not still be in the tub. I stay also at the other hotel different brand, but same owner may have to start going back there. The only reason I go here is since I have a cat with me and they don't charge a fee.

Room and property were clean. Front desk was nice and fast. Water from sink smelled horrible and left a silky film on your skin. Towels left lint all over our bodies and in our hair. Price is a little too high in comparison to neighboring hotels to not provide breakfast or not even have an elevator for those of us that can’t climb stairs. Told front desk about my disability and she said I can pay extra for a downstairs room. Windows need shades because outside is well lit which is great but the light comes into the rooms and is a bit much when trying to sleep. Beds are super comfortable. Rooms need dirty laundry bags. Just some suggestions but yes I would stay again if I had to because it was clean.

Room needed paint and Sheetrock repairs. There was a round hole in the closet wall to the sink area. The front desk clerk picked up the phone and made a call as I walked up to check in and started to talk to him.

It looks like a standard road side motel on the outside but inside the room surprised me. It was a very nice room, comfortable bed, hardwood floors and very CLEAN. I was super impressed. I recommend it and will be back when I'm in the area again

I have stayed in several Red Roof hotels but this one is by far the nicest one I’ve been to. The beds were so comfortable and the room was very spacious. The staff were extremely kind and helpful. This hotel will be my choice every time I visit Hammond, LA.

Stayed on two separate occasions a month apart. The first time we were checked in around 1 am by an unfriendly, young night clerk and ended up with a first floor room in the back of the hotel and there was a party in one of the rooms one of the nights that had loud cars driving by thumbing their music. I called the front desk and eventually they put a stop to it. The 2nd trip we stayed again because the rooms were clean and it was conveniently located. I'd also read ratings for other Hammond hotels and this seemed like the best option still (definitely a shortage of swanky hotels in this area) Upon arriving our second trip I asked for a first floor room in the front and the sweet front desk lady (I think her name was Barb) bent over backwards to flip some things around and make it happen. Wish I'd had my second experience the first time around too. I'd stay again now that I've figured out the trick!

Room was a nice size and the beds were very comfortable. The main issue is we had a room by the stairs to the 2nd floor. There were lights that shined right through the “blackout” curtains which caused us 3 sleepless nights. Also, the shampoo and lotions dispensers were with empty or not working. Lots of shady people constantly in the parking lot as well…don’t think they were guests.

Ok so I loved the hotel. My husband is in a wheel chair and they gave us 116/117 I kept 117 and had to move to 104 for handicap ramp. So all was good until checking out. So the deposit they kept $10 because I had makeup on a towel fine. So I get a call back saying that we stole a microwave and iron out of 117 and the police would be called if I didn’t bring it back. I hadn’t yet got on the road back to Memphis so I stop up there because the whole reason we got the deposit back was because everything was ok so after we left you decide a microwave and iron was missing that wasn’t in the room upon check in. So I go back there and talk to the clerk and she says her manager is already gone but will review the tapes to see if we stole these items and she hadn’t seen any video (what?! You called me demanding the police and we stole whatever and you don’t know for sure) I will never stay here again just because of this mis communication and the thought that I would drive all the way from Memphis to Hammond to steal a microwave and iron. SMH!

This is the second time that I stayed at this hotel in the last month. My first review would've not been so great. The staff that greeted me upon late check-in was not very friendly and staying on the backside of the hotel was loud and didn't feel safe. Upon visiting last weekend, Elaine put me in the front of the hotel because of the noise concerns that I had from my previous visit and made sure that I had a first floor room The first visit, my daughter went down to the breakfast and said it looked awful so I never actually saw it myself The rooms were clean, although the towels could be replaced because they look like rags I will stay here again, but I will again request the front of the hotel and a first floor room and I will be hoping that Elaine is there to greet me because without her I fear that this last visit would've left not so pleasant memories as the first one did. I stayed a second time because I liked how clean everything inside the room rooms seemed and I'm glad that I did. I didn't give it higher ratings just because of my first experience. Thanks Elaine!

At check in, the customer service person singularly decided to change my room from the King size bed that I selected online to a room with 2 queens. I did not ask for the change and immediately asked her to change it back to the King size bed that I had selected. Not sure why she thought she knew my preference better than I do. Also, the room had a sickly-sweet air freshener smell that made it hard to breathe.

Everything was very clean and staff were very friendly. They smile as soon as you walk in. They made sure that we knew what the password for WIFI and asked if we needed anything else. I would highly encourage anyone to go to Red Roof.

This was just a quick overnight traveling through. The hotel was easy to access but was not in a built up area. The room was nice, clean and comfy. The bed was pretty good too. I am not a fan of hotels charging security deposits, but at least it was refunded promptly. Staff was friendly and helpful. There was no breakfast included with the stay.

I had a man knock on my room door at 3:30 am. He kept knocking and knocking persistently and I was afraid. I called the front desk and she told me not to open the door and she had already called the police. She said a black SUV had been circling around the motel and several men got out of the SUV and were running down the halls. She was watching them on camera and saw what was going on and called police. About ten minutes later she called back to tell me she finally saw them leave on camera but the police were still not there and she was scared and disappointed. She was on the phone with me until the police eventually arrived. I found out the next day that only five months ago there was a man that was shot in that motel parking lot during what seemed like a carjacking. When the man tried to get his wife out of the car he was shot. There is something going on around there and it is not safe. I tried to speak with a manager multiple times and left my phone number and my husband tried calling and left his phone number. It has been two days later and the manager finally called and instead of offering any kind of apology or assurance of security at the motel, he tried to pass it off as if someone was just looking for a family member or something. When I explained how terrified I was and how terrified his own employee was he didn’t know what to say and kept arguing that he didn’t know what to do. I kept telling him it was HIS job to assure the safety of his guests.

Hotel room is clean and bed comfortable. It has basic needs such as soap and shampoos. None of the ice machines have ice or not working. The staffs were helpful and friendly. There are a gas station and Burger King next to hotel. The area around the hotel is not that clean. I can smell urine when walking around hotel. I is a doable place to stay for the night if you just need a clean room to rest. I booked through Expedia for a cheaper rate.

Check in was a breeze, even when we got there a little late. The lady at the front desk was real quick and helpful and got us checked in right away. No breakfast, but did have coffee, but the breakfast didn't bother us since we weren't there long enough to worry about it. Would recommend and definitely stay here again and there are plenty of food choices in the area.

Everything was clean, smelled nice, staff was courteous, front desk was responsive. Only reason I gave 4 stars was because there was no coffee machine in the room, but they had coffee at checkin all the time.
