Really loved the manicured grounds and the beauty of how it infuses with nature. I could walk around and look at the birds and flowering cactus for hours. Such a large complex it felt like its own town. Loved the rooms, nothing like a hotel. Only complaint, that would elevate this place to perfection, would be the pools. They could uses updating. If they were redone, salt based, and cooler in temp, it would be perfect. They need a cold plunge pool, as the pool water was a warm bath.

The Boulders is an older resort, but well maintained in a great setting. Conveniently located with a beautiful setting. We enjoyed the restaurant, bar & main pool. The staff in all locations was always very friendly & helpful.

Property was awesome except all their pools and pool areas are in desperate need of major remodel. Since my wife and I like to lounge by the pool, we were really disappointed in that. Pools are old, need updates, needs better food/beverage service, need bigger hot tub and they need to offer cabanas. There’s just no vibes at their pools. Other than that, we really enjoyed all aspects of the property, service, etc.

The property itself was beautiful. Unfortunately the staff was not very friendly and since the property is big unless you want to walk far you have to call for transportation. Our room was nice had some minor repairs that needed to be fixed. Toilet paper holder was broken our TV remote did not work and the signal on our tv was not good. The spa and workout facility was very nice and the customer service there was great. The only downfall is it all closes at 6pm. This is the same for the Pickleball. They have great pickleball courts but really you can only play in the morning.

Room AC duct blows right on you when in bed making you cold when on and hot when off. Very annoying. I opened the shutters for the lone window in the room and found that it had not been cleaned in a long time, there was dirt and dead insects along the sill.

The property is beautiful. They had us in a two queen room which we were changed from. Our view from our room wasn't great and the outdoor patio area was filthy. At the price we paid, I would have expected to have a clean patio. Other than some other minor incidents, we were happy.

Unfortunately we have been coming here for 15 years but its just become very very run down and the staff is very very unprofessional. Very bad service. Not very clean and generally had a bad experience. Room never got clean, front desk was incredibly rude and no one picked up the phone at any extension for 1 hour.. this with are two little kids in the room (we needed water). Its too bad because its in a beautiful location and we used to love coming here a few times a year but we will no longer be going to this place with all the other better options in the area. We are all very disappointed.

Upon arrival, the minibar/minifridge was not cleaned and was rather disgusting. The bathtub drain was also displaced. We informed the hotel management, but they did not rectify the minifridge during the entire trip. On the second day they did not turn down the room. They told us this was due to half the housekeeping staff walking off on New Years. They provided a small credit for this. The staff on the carts were fantastic, and the location is beautiful. However, for the price, they need to make sure the housekeeping is up to speed.

From excitement to disappointment. Spending our vacations around the world, skip this one. The Room floor was dirty, the bathrobes had odor of previous use with food in it, the bathroom floor still had someone’s contacts lenses on the floor, the next day after our arrival, we left to venture the city, we came back to our room door left propped open which was a bit scary for me, I called the front desk, spoke to a gentleman which sounded uncared but offered to make sure our room would be cleaned the next day. Those contact lenses remain there through our entire stay (4 days, 3 nights) even after bringing it to their attention, and they may still be there at room 344, when I called I was assured that it would be addressed and taken care of.. it did not and when we left our room the fallowing morning around 10ish am, housekeeping was about to come in and he knew nothing about it and still did not clean the floors and contacts were still there waiting for us. One thing we were concerned was the poor lighting down the pathways to the casitas and our room door light. I will say, the surrounding nature areas were pretty.

The hotel staff were all exceptional and willing to go to extra effort to make our stay enjoyable. The grounds are beautiful and we had a great room. The only down side was the maid staff was not exactly detailed ... glasses not always cleaned and not all areas cleaned, but overall still a great stay

We stayed here in Oct of 2022 and had just an amazing time. This is we stated in June of 2023 and man was it a bit rough. There were so many bugs….everywhere! They were constantly in our room (yes we kept the doors closed), we had cobwebs all over the ceiling and bathroom especially in the corners of the shower. Yes this property is in the middle of the desert but for a 5 star resort I was very disappointed in the cleaning of the inside of the room. I would suggest staying during cooler months to avoid the excess of summer bugs but regardless the room was still very dusty and the cobwebs were just out of control.

This is the second time, we have stayed at the Boulders Casita. Excellent rooms with high ceilings and santa fe build quality. The casitas are superb especially with a patio. Be able to have the golf carts pick you up at any time is priceless and fun.

It's the hot summer months and the Boulders is running an amazing price for rooms. The property and golf course are beautiful and the rooms (Casitas) are spacious and fun - so different from generic hotel rooms. Bed was comfy, love the tile floors and the large bathroom with dual sinks and walk in closet. The area (Cave Creek) is historic and super cute with good shopping and dining options. Property may be falling a bit behind in maintenance. Hot water handle on both sinks was corroded stuck, took maintenance 2 days to get 1 of them working. AirConditioner is old and super loud (shakes the bed when it kicks on) but it kept the room reasonably chill in the major desert heat. The Casitas are reached through wandering golf cart paths that highlight the scenery, the boulders and the desert flora. I had an early flight, so i walked to my car (they offer a golf cart service, but it was early and i wasn't sure if they were working yet). At least 8 of the pathway lights were burned out, and if you've ever been in the desert on a moonless night, it's DARK. even with the flashlight on my phone, i had to pause a couple times to see if i was going the right direction. Given the amazing heat, i'm very surprised they don't offer any covered parking, as your car is hot as an oven any time after noon. All in all a beautiful resort with very good service, but if it was high season and i was paying big bucks, i would have been disappointed.

Beautiful views from room - quiet We stayed in a Casita and great shuttle service to the amenities. Rooms are older and not as well maintained as I’d expect for this resort. Only complaint is serious lack of EV chargers. There’s 2 and only 1 works.

Wonderful setting and landscaping, with nice large room with fireplace, bathroom is large but faucets didn’t work well and towels and bathrobe were torn from over use. Bedroom sliding doors to balcony didn’t work well. Facilities need renovation and refurbish. Food average at best, disappointing and service okay. Spa was nice but fully booked while hotel wasn’t full.

Amazing in a million ways. Would happily stay here again. However, the beds are tiny. We had two beds for me and my two young adult children – there is no way 2 human beings over the age of six could fit in one of those beds. We asked for a cot and was told we couldn't get one. That was a big disappointment, but everything else about the hotel and the resort were wonderful. I would welcome hearing back from the management about this.

The room and property were beautiful! We especially enjoyed the spa and nature walk! They was a lot of wildlife to enjoy! The only issue we had was that the internet didn't seem to be working most of the time, and the TV cut in and out a lot likely due to the internet issues.

Check-in desk staff assigned us a room with 2Q room as reserved. However, it turned out to be a 1K room, so she switched us to a 2Q unit, which turned out had no sink water running. We were moved to another 2Q unit, which had its sink drain clogged and pipes dripping rust water. We were placed back to the 1K room with an explanation that Expedia did not specify the reservation as a Q2 room. In this 1K room, we later found out the bath tub water doesn't drain due to the water stopper stuck at closed position. Maintenance is an issue at this resort.

Where do I start.... Number 1 and the most important, "The Staff The Employees" were amazing, every single one of them that we had interactions with were top notch and actually seem to enjoy working there, so kudos to team leaders and managment. The property was stunning, the food was outstanding, and the golf day was so much fun. The Casita was clean and super, super cozy. Thanks Boulders for an amazing couple of days. We will be back once we have enough money to splurge again. 10 star resort if thats a thing....

At $750 per night, the Boulders promised to be an upscale spa retreat weekend for us. What we actually received was two nights at an average Hilton, inconveniently located miles away from any restaurants, outdated in decor, and just like every Hilton, staffed with people who don’t care about your experience. The best part is waking up at 5a to staff power washing the sidewalks, and having an incompetent manager inform you that “that’s when we clean the property”. Save your money or book at an actual desert retreat.

Gorgeous, romantic, secluded. Beautiful property and very well kept. We were there 10 years ago and it was just as nice. Property hasn’t gone downhill at all and has been very kept up. We had trouble getting people answer the phone at room service. Room service was slow, food not warm etc. very disappointing for such a secluded place. but other than that we enjoyed our stay very much. Front desk was very accommodating, letting us add an extra night onto our room at the last minute.

The property grounds are gorgeous. The food was also delicious. We only at at the Palo Verde restaurant while we were there. There were some issues with room service (e.g., not receiving what we ordered, not receiving appropriate utensils, and food took a long time to be delivered). We also had some issues reaching the front desk. We asked that a fireplace log be delivered one evening and it never was. All-in-all, we really enjoyed our time there, but there were some hiccups. We also loved the pool and life size chess set. The sunsets were amazing!

Ugh. Have stayed at before. It was great. 10 years later not so great. My toilet never flushed. Thankfully only a night there and by myself. The shower drained soooo slow. Water overflowed onto bathroom floor. The drains smelled terrible of sewer. Yuck. Told staff. Front desk staff very unfriendly. No greeting or welcome smile. Borderline ride. No eye contact. Cart drivers were also not friendly. Felt like I was inconveniencing them. Even my friend who dropped me off mentioned how crabby staff was. Even the waitresses were just not welcoming. Wondering what has happened to this hotel. Sad.

OK, Here is my experience; I will start off by saying all was fine on the last day but not enough was really offered to compensate a 5 STAR Curio collection by Hilton, Yikes! One comp Breakfast Really? Ok, here is the 5 days, lobby check in with Marcus get room keys. Bellman shuttled me to my room in the 300 series, up the stairs to open the door to the room assigned with the keys only programmed for that room and we proceed to walk in on a preoccupied room with someone in bed and a gentleman about to get into bed with that person. WHAT!! How can this happen?? The Bellman and I were completely shocked, embarrassed and back right out of that room. Come on! Bellman said in all the years he had worked here this has never happened and should NEVER happen , well it did. Now two groups of Boulders guests are shocked and surprised! Ok, Bellman calls the lobby speaks with another front desk person and I am assigned another room. All seems ok with this one, nice view of the 7th Green sunset, all that jazz but wait, no WIFI or TV but what a view. Tech team shows up one says the problem has been ongoing for days and level 3 Tech wont be able to come out until Monday, it's Saturday. So on Sunday they moved me again to the 200 hundred series on the North side(mix-up with room #'s ) ground floor where the WIFI is working. Ok, the next day, desert Rats running through the room, so off to 4th room to the south. 4 rooms assigned for 5 days. Should have comped 2 nights at least for all this.

The location is amazing, both quiet and beautiful! You'll probably park far from your room, which is fine as they have people to shuttle you around. Plan on 5-20 minutes for the service (I think they forgot about us one time). The room was nice and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was WAY overpriced (about $80 for two people), but I guess that's to be expected from a resort. Would I stay here again? Absolutely!! Just know about the quirks ahead of time.

I spent 4th of July at Boulders Resort, not fully aware of how far out you are from Scottsdale. I learned that you need to have your own transportation, otherwise you will be stuck on the property as Uber wouldn’t drive out that way & if they did it was expensive. Golfers… it’s a must !! If you want to get away & relax this is the place… just not during the HOT season !!! Staff were all super pleasant & attentive, our room was very spacious & clean.

This is certainly one of the top 5 hotels in Scottsdale (I have stayed at them all!). Amazing Grounds, Amazing Employees, beautiful golf course. The only drawback is location, and depending on your plans may be no drawback whatsoever. This property could not be further North in Scottsdale, if you are sightseeing, or like the bar or restaurant scene, it will take you 45Min to get to the downtown area. This being said I have lived in Scottsdale 6-mts a year for over 30years. This is by far my favorite resort to go to relax and get away. Best experience will be had by being GENEROUS to the golf cart drivers... They rock! So if Canadian, go elsewhere....

The hotel was good but not great. You had to take a golf cart to anywhere on the property and while the bell service staff was exceptionally friendly, the concept was inconvenient. We got locked out on our patio one night with a broken latch and it took both of us to work at prying it open. Spilled water on the stone floor and when I wiped it, it looked as dirty as if I were cleaning an outdoor patio. The pool was small but relaxing. Property was farther from scottsdale than anticipated. It was just ok.

Went for a girls trip (9 of us), overall we had a great stay. The spa pool was lovely, it was very quiet and the resort felt like a unique experience. Food was good but 2 of the restaurants have very similar menu's, lunch at the spa pool was extremely limited.

Fantastic magical place. I did not have a good experience with room service. The two times I tried it the first time no one answered the phone and we called and let the phone ring for a long time several times we finally gave up and skipped breakfast. they did have an option to leave our name and number and they would call us back and we did that but no one ever called us back, the second time we ordered my food was cold and we complained and they sent a new plate of food right away, but I was disappointed that it was cold in the first place. The rest of the service was fantastic at the hotel and it was our stay and I’m sure we’ll stay there again and highly recommend it to others. .

Excellent room and facilities. Complimentary coffee in the lobby in the morning. A bit difficult to get your bearings because the property is over 1300 acres. But the only negative……..breakfast is very expensive, the food is Hilton commercial and they can’t even get a quality bagel and cream cheese. Skip the breakfast and eat in one of the western style restaurant in town a few minutes away. Otherwise pay a lot of money for mediocre food. All in all a very nice hotel and if you play golf the facilities are excellent. Staff is also top notch.

The property is beautiful, with the granite boulders and saguaro cactus. But, there were two problems: the food at the “fine dining” restaurant was terrible, probably the worst food we’ve ever had at a resort or a luxury hotel; and, the bed linens were nice, but the towels were what you would expect at a budget motel.
