We opened the door and was greated by the largest cockroach wed seen, the towels were stained yellow and there were dirty stains on the doona cover. The property was dusty and not very nice.

The hotel is 20 minutes out of the centre of Nowra, and ideally situated for (grand)parents with small children. The public swimming pool, with a paddling pool, is just over the road, and there is a small port and a playground within about 150 metres.The rooms are well equipped, with cutlery, crockery, and even green tea and ground coffee with a French press, which we did not have in other motels. Very good welcome, and good information about the area. There are eating options nearby.

A very comfortable stay right by the water at Anchor Bay. A great location, and a very clean and well appointed room. We originally booked for 1 night, but were able to extend it to 2 nights because of torrential rain & strong winds for our drive home down the South Coast. There were no nearby cafes or restaurants open, but we were able to get food supplies from the local IGA a short drive away. We would return for another stay, hopefully in brighter weather.
