La Quinta by Wyndham Milwaukee Bayshore Area

The facilities are somewhat dated but they were clean and there was no unpleasant odor. One of the elevators was not working. The pool appears to be permanently closed. The website indicated that there was a pool available. Breakfast was spartan but fresh.

Pool not working and jacuzzi broken

This was the most awful stay we’ve ever had!!! Paid 900 for 3 days on a pool side suit, checked in pool closed and we got a tiny suit that was very unclean! They moved us to bigger suit. Not once did we get housekeeping, or clean linens, we had to keep going down for toiletries and towels . I would never recommend this place! Motel 6 would have been better.

Pool under construction. Garbage containers overfilled throughour property, breakfast mediocre, and broken elevator. First room smelled of cigarette smoke had to switch rooms. Refrigerator full of frost, door would not close, no toilet paper holder, no alarm clock, and only one garbage can in suite. Key issues. Would not recommend.

We arrived at 6pm and were told they didn’t have a room ready and that it would be in 20 min. We left and came back 40 min later and it still wasn’t ready- they tried to have us switch to a king size bed (we had 4 people). When we declined they gave us a room number and took a deposit but told us too wait 40 min more. We were going to swim or workout while we waited but the pool was closed and of the 4 equipment in the workout room, 2 didn’t work. Most things were broken. We went to find our room then and saw the cleaning staff sitting in the room next door and chatting - not working. We didn’t end up getting into our room until 8:30. Stains on curtains, leaking sink. Worst experience in a long time!

We usually stay at this hotel for Oktoberfest as it's in walking distance. Last year, the pool was closed for maintenance. This year, we booked, and the booking no longer indicated the pool was closed. My SO needs the water therapy for his back & knee. He was in so much pain that we cut our trip short & headed home early. No offer for any compensation, not even a refund for the day we didn't stay. It seems to be under new management or ownership, but there is NO attention to detail, by housekeeping, by the desk, or amenities. There have been vending machines available in the past, but now outside of the breakfast, there are no drinks or snacks available on site. The rooms are clean at a glance, but mirrors are streaked, corners are dirty, furniture is stained, etc. It appears they have attempted to update the facility, but wallpaper & floorcoverings can only help so much. I basically paid over $300 for 1 night in a 1-2 star max hotel. For that money, I would expect a better experience.

The hotel experience was okay. The pool was down for maintenance and there was no breakfast readily available. The equipment was out dated. Our microwave had a dial on it. At check in 2 different people were asking for refunds, should’ve joined them. Floors were sticky, no toilet paper in the bathroom or even a spot for it, blood on the bathroom door, some blob of something on the floor, hair in the shower, stained couch, broken dresser, breakfast was waffle or fruit loops, pool was broken, elevator was broken, and overall funky smell. Will not be back. Feeling catcished by the pics online.

Should have walked out as I approached front desk to check in but couldn’t because I booked on Hotels.com. Attendant was folding towels on desk and asked for early check in fee. I was half an hour early. 3 of 5 lamps in room didn’t work, couch was stained, bed was a rock slab, pool drained. Coffee machine didn’t work, neither did the hair dryer. I’ve stayed in hostels that were much better and because of the weekend I paid $300 for the 4 hours I could stand to be there. I’ve used hotels.com for years. Sorry to say I don’t think I can trust their recommendations any longer.

The best thing about this property is it's right next door to a fabulous to-go hamburger/custard joint called Kopp's. This hotel has extended stay for some unhappy people. One night I came back to the hotel parking lot to find 4 police cars responding to trouble. The pool at the hotel was empty for maintenance, but no way of knowing that until you check in. There was no Kleenex in the room. There was no phone in the room or a do-not-disturb sign on the door. The mattress was OK and the room was big, but the rest of the furniture was cheap cheap cheap.

Saw Cockroaches right away left and ,waiting for a refund.

There were BEDBUGS in the beds!!! The room was dirty, sticky, and stains everywhere. All they did was put us in another room. At least that room didn't have any bedbugs. But the same as the other room(dirty, sticky and stains everywhere). They didn't say we'll comp you or discount your bill... nothing. Now im doing everything to hope that my kids and I didn't bring any bedbugs home. This property went down since the change in ownership.

All areas of the hotel were filthy. The elevator was disgusting, there was a nasty large spot on the sofa mattress, the inside of the coffee maker had a thick coating of old coffee grounds, there were crumbs on the couch and carpet, and mold in the bathroom. The couch sofa did not have any linen and when I requested some I was taken to the laundry area to pick out linens. I absolutely will never stay here again and highly recommend no one else does either.

The room was dirty with broken down furniture. Carpet stained everywhere. The vent over the bed was black and growing fur. Half the outlets didn’t work. The sink wouldn’t drain and the toilet started leaking from the ground which turned into a massive overflow that had to be shut off from the emergency valve. The room overlooked the pool Which was green with a thick layer of sludge. We were unable to stay because of the non functioning toilet but still charged.

I didn’t stay! The room was so nasty, we went back to the lobby and demanded our money back, and left the property. The worst thing I’ve ever seen in my life!!! My children were traumatized. The bed was dirty, food on the wall, pizza sauce on the floor, blood on the floor, black mold on the wall and vents. I’ll be calling the health department for sure. DISGUSTING

This hotel is horrible. Both rooms booked were infested with bed bugs!! They have the worst customer service I have ever seen in my life! There is no managers running this establishment. DO NOT AND I REPEAT DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!

It was the worst hotel we have ever been to Save your sanity and your money! The pictures are nice but when you go in person it is horrible. Poop smeared on walls, broken elevators, and bloody sheets. The room service is not existent and bad service. On top of that when I did see other guests they weren't happy to stay here either.

This hotel comes as close to "ghetto" as you can get, which was surprising considering its location. Too many things were broken and patched together. The toilet seat was so loose that it moved 4 inches side to side. To give them credit, maintenance fixed that promptly. But there were so many other things wrong. TP holder was missing. Shower curtain rod was falling off the wall and zip ties had been placed around the rod to keep the curtain up. There was only 1 wastebasket for three rooms. The was a large red stain running down one wall where someone had previously exploded a can of something, but never wiped it up, and for whatever reason, the cleaning crew didn't bother either. The two-bulb lamps had only one bulb in them, so lighting was terrible. Very few of the electric sockets in the lamp bases would hold a plug. And the lampshades were cracked and coming loose. Two windows were stuck open, so traffic noise was omnipresent. We got the bedroom window closed, but could not budge the living room window. The fridge was freezing everything, but when we turned the temp up a bit, we returned to a puddle of water from the fridge all the way to the main door. The insides of the doors, especially the bathroom door, were dirty with handprints that had never been scrubbed off. And all the dresser drawers contained everyone's leftover dirt, dust, and stains. Never again. Back to Fairfield Inn next trip, assuming the road construction is complete.

Room was smaller and no refrigerator worked. One TV was unplugged didn't work and you have to pay $100dollars for early check in. But didn't quote that when I made reservations before. Need to make it clear about how to check in and about prices. Wish I could get my money back or partial of it at least because I reserved my room.

The room was not in great shape. Lights in bathroom, fixtures broken , sink stopper broken, light would not turn off. The towels in the room were very thin and haggard.

Rooms need updating, room was dusty and dirty. Holes in walls and above. Beds not comfortable, AC did not work good in my room either.

Tvs n wifi didnt work. They said that they were going to fix it never came. Didn't want to give discount or give no other incentive

The room was huge, bigger then needed and didn’t even have the jacuzzi tub in the room, it was in the bathroom. I have never rented a jacuzzi room where the tub is in the bathroom. Couldn’t really tell that from the picture’s either. Also the vanity lights in the bathroom didn’t work. Tv was very small as well. Otherwise everything else was good.

Pretty good hotel for this price and place!

Leaking bathroom sink. Missing light bulbs. Uneven floors, drawers would not stay closed on the cheap furniture. Worn carpet. Scratched and dirty toilet seat. Low water pressure from sink in bathroom.

Room was ok. We were in a noisy area in the hotel. Someone was playing music starting at 5 am on a Saturday morning Staff was responsive to any requests/issues such as a lack of enough towels for the number of registered guests. This seems to have been a very nice motel at one time but is a bit run down due to lack of general maintenance.

Location was good. Hotel itself had issues. My reserved room was not ready when i checked in so was given a different room. That room had cobwebs in the bedroom and living area, dirty mirrors and filthy vent in the bathroom. The manager did change our. room the next day. However the new room had a leaky air conditioner that soaked part of the rug near the window and one side of the bed so I couldn't use that side of the bed. Mirrors were still smeared as if cleaned with a dirty cloth.

Checked in at 3pm, went up to the room and it was atrocious. Ended up leaving immediately. The customer service was horrible. I would never stay at this location ever again!

Before my arrival I realized we were t going to make it by checkin, I called the hotel to let them know and the person that answered was extremely understanding. I called back to give an update to make sure they knew we were coming again he said it was fine. Once we arrived he greeted us with a smile and was very happy to help us with breakfast if we wanted. They dont have much as far breakfast but it was nice to have that option. It is within walking distance to plenty of food options as well Bayshore mall. The entire place is under renovation so it looked rough at first including the pool, the gym, and outdoor area. The room was huge but the furniture is outdated, it could have been cleaned a lot better. Our tv went out but it was replaced quickly. Our keys stopped working often but, they accommodated us each time. Towels were limited but were provided upon request and delivered in a timely manner. In conclusion once this place is fully renovated it will be an amazing stay. The owners were extremely helpful, sweet, and nice while we stayed.

I walked in pretty late and asked the male front desk person if they had any rooms available. He stated they only had a jacuzzi rooms for double the amount of a regular room, plus tax. I was about to walk out when I remember seeing rooms available on Expedia. I quickly book a single room (no Jacuzzi) for much less than the quoted amount he offered. Not only did he lie, but when I walked back up and said, "Is the site lying when it tells me I have a room here?" Without apologizing or anything he checked me in. LIARS should be terminated. He almost lost you a sale on a room trying to upsale me. This was unprofessional. Then, when I got to my room, it was dirty, no Kleenex, the phone was broke & unplugged, and the wifi didn't work. I called the front desk on my cell but he was no help, no surprising. I will say the neighborhood is nice and the main areas of the hotel was fine and mainly clean. Just the inside of the room was disgusting.

It wasn’t good at all! The check in was awful. The person at the front desk tried to tell me I had two room when I only needed one. He was trying to charge me for an extra room. He didn’t think I had my confirmation. He didn’t want to believe me. Very rude and disrespectful. The room itself was bad. Hairballs everywhere is the bathroom. Stains on the couch, bed, floor, walls, and more. Says smoke free, but there was smokers on the floor and it was awful to smell that. Breakfast wasn’t the greatest. Not that many options. Very small portions. I would rate this hotel -1 star. From the desk clerk at check in, to the breakfast the next day.

When we arrived we learned the hotel was under construction. So the pool and hot tub were closed and there was a bagged breakfast. They did upgrade our room for a discounted price. Overall the room was very nice and the bed was comfortable. The jacuzzi tub is huge and very relaxing. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Hoping to stay again after remodeling is done.

Horrible, they refused to honor my reservation for a jacuzzi suite, offered several different stories why they couldnt accommodate it, all lies, basically the 1st thing the front desk said was I didn't pay enough for that suite, I said I booked it 6 months prior, so the price was different then, then it was they didnt have any, and that 'jacuzzi suite' meant I had a suite and the hotel had a jacuzzi in the pool area, last story was that they had them, but they were all attached to the pool area that was under renovation so they couldnt put me in that room. So they put me in a King room that was filthy, had the smoke detector removed, AC unit didn't work, sink was clogged up, dirty floors, stains all over the couch, you name it, it was bad!!!

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The facility is really not rhat bad, but needs some modernization and badly needed maintenance and upgrades. Otherwise no complaints very close walking distance to shopping mall and eateries. Right off the Interstate.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel and definitely will return again when I’m in the area very accessible to anything you would need as far as food, gas shopping and also right off the freeway grateful for traveling professional or for family staying town

The property looked as if the hotel was condemned. There were people standing outside the entrance the looked as if they were homeless or possibly placed in the hotel as shelter. A pit bull was at one guys side who entered the hotel and went up the elevator to his room. The room had an old air conditioner that had saturated the floor and had to be moved to another room which was just as bad. The linens on the bed were just thrown on and were not even covering the mattress. The sofa was stain and disgusting to the point I didn’t want to sit on it. The microwave rattled loudly when it ran and barely heated the food. At night many seedy people were standing outside the entrance and it looked as if they were dealing something. Went down for breakfast and they had two dirty waffle makers which was the extent of the hot food. They had some bread and hard bagels that looked to have been sitting for a while. There was a jug of milk and a bottle of orange juice as the drink selection. Some cereal in a container and the fruit look old and shriveled up. This place is a total hole in the wall and really needs to be condemned. I have never stayed in such a dirty and run down hotel. Just totally disgusting

Ideal location for a trip to Oktoberfest. Walkable to the venue. Will gladly stay here again.

Central location for Milwaukee attrations. Target and Walmart close by. Also a selection of quick eats within walking distance. The lobby was very warm. The only protein at breakfast was hard boiled eggs. Had to ask for more than 2 sets of towels and remote for tv. No linens for pull out sofa in room. Had to reset room keys daily.

Not sure about facilities and safety. Looks a little shady. Not bad for price. Chick-fil-A down the block.

La Quinta hotels are always decently priced and clean on the inside. The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. The rooms are clean and spacious. Sometimes the outside parking area isn’t as clean and comfortable as one would expect but everything else is great.

It's a old and dangerous place. Too many crazy people around the neighborhood and it also smells bad. Will not be staying here every.

The next morning, breakfast was no where because the building was “under construction”. Then we received dirty sheets for our sofa bed. Luckily they gave us plenty of extras. Thirty minutes later I call the front desk and they tell me I have to come downstairs only to wait another ten minutes for a housekeeper to get us extra towels. Lastly, housekeeping did not come once during our two day stay. The staff was very friendly but it does not make up for the other incidents.

Extremely basic breakfast option, decent bed (good size room), small but clean bathroom. The biggest downside: room raked as cigarettes / weed. I had to get air freshners to be able to sleep there.

elevator has seen better days. Floor 3 had a terrible smell. Looked old and dated. The bed mattress was def old. The pool area was closed. The breakfast area was not managed well.

We booked a jacuzzi room, informed could not use AAA discount due to using third party vendor to book, also not aware at time of booking pool was not open/available due to maintenance. No vending on our floor, there was an area and signs that said vending but no machines/ice. When we got to our room it was filthy and there were bloodstains on the couch and stains on the bedding. We were offered to move rooms, second room also dirty, bathroom not cleaned well and I did not feel comfortable using the shower or jacuzzi. No cover on ironing board, out of options at continental breakfast and cereal dispensers did not work and I was instructed by the staff to just scoop it out of the top-very unhygienic. Overtime very dissatisfied with our stay, I expected more as we have stayed at La Quinta before in other locations and have been very happy, I feel as a Wyndham property the standards would have been higher.

The breakfast was subpar at best. Had signs up for all types of food but didn't have most. Gluten-free options were fruit & hard boiled warm eggs. Was told fill breakfast was provided. No coffee either. Bathroom in the dining hall had no toilet paper. Staff on the phone a lot. Our bathroom was dirty, toilet needed to be cleaned as well as sink. Missing towels. Asked twice for another pillow, never received. Poop closed as well.
