Motel 6-Milwaukee, WI - Glendale

Staff was friendly. Wish they could’ve had a mini fridge and microwave in the rooms instead of going to the main lobby to use one single microwave. But overall, it was a decent stay for one night.

No iron or ironing board,no refrigerator or microwave in the room,no coffee maker or hair dryer no body lotion shampoo or conditioner. The room door is broken,room130 . The carpet in the hall smells bad.Will never come here again.Only did so because American By Wyndham rooms were sold out fully booked. That's where I usually stay which is much better than this.

Microwaves in the rooms would be so convenient vs. sharing one with 30 other people. As well as a mini fridge in the room would help a lot as well. And to charge 5 star prices during Milwaukee events is crazy!

No access to coffee later in the day.

Well toilet very low water flow, so did not always flush on the first 2-3 tries. Toilet seat broken. Shower head broken and moves extensively in the wall. Tub is cracked at bottom and water is leaking and when walking on the floor outside shower you can see the water come through the tiles. Hotel using Internet throughout for TV and it crashes and very poor connections. No refrigerator or microwave in fridge which is merely a staple when staying at Motel 6. Vending machines broken or smashed and out of order. For the price that was charged in is not work the money at all. Would never stay at this location again.

Cons Broken toilet. bathroom door had someones punch mark in it (both rooms i had) elevator screen didnt work. Had no idea if the elevator door would open. no amenities. Windows had gaps in the window frame. Security guard at night for reasons... door would not always latch. Tv was on when we arrived made us think people were in our rooms. Half of the lights worked in the room Pros Staff was nice and helpful Security guy seemed to very knowledgeable with the staff and how they work There was toilet paper. Cable tv worked

The staff was not at the front desk when needed. Keys were not working and had to go get them re-keyed and no one at the desk. The property elevator was dirty.

Arrived at the hotel and was met with a bulletproof protective glass over the front desk. This Protection although important gave the front desk operator a sense of "I will get to you when I get to you", once im off my cell phone. There was no, thank you.There was no welcome to our hotel. The neighborhood o m g. Definitely not user friendly or family friendly. You wanted to watch your back when using the elevator, vending machines ect. The Hotel never gave me a feeling that I personally was safe. I arrived at 5 p m still light out. The room was basic but clean. Because of how everything else outside of the room looked, I felt the need to examine closely to make sure I didn't have any friendly visitors in my bed which I did not thankfully.! The hotel had one bar of soap for hand washing, and that was it. Air conditioning worked good and did not have a odor.

The door was so swollen that it could hardly be opened & then it made a terrible noise to get it shut. The place was dirty, mold around seam of bath tub, sink coming loose from wall, the ceiling leaked so much that it covered the bathroom floor and moving out into hallway. Had to go down to front desk to retrieve a s stack of towels. They at least provided toilet paper & small bar of soap, but no other amenities such as shampoo, Kleenex, hairdryer. They were kind enough to switch us to another room the next night which had live and dead bugs, dirty, & some mold in bathroom. The bed was more comfortable. The tvs didn’t work. One Chanel only that had a crazy movie. No coffee machines in room or no breakfast of any sort. There was coffee provided in the morning in the lobby for a short time. The good thing was the location.

This is easily the sleaziest motel I’ve ever stayed in. It starts with the front desk surrounded by security windows like a late nite convenience store. Now cash accepted because it’s not safe.

The people were nice and quite friendly. For a motel six, I don’t expect high end service. The room was dirty, the floor was sticky, the door barely shut. It seems to be a rather high crime area although nothing happened to my car I was concerned at night.

dirty room saw roaches noise tv didn't work and the water was cold I didn't ask for a refund because the time had passed

1 the clerk kept giving us the wrong room number.the room was dirty smelled like cat urine.tv didnt work,never fixed.most electrical outlets didnt work.you had to push hard to open/close room door.house keeping never came to change bedding/towels.the whole place smelled like marijuana thru out.found dog poop in the hallway.when i told the clerk about it she said she knew. when i asked for a different room i was told no either keep the room or leave.overall i will never stay there again and probably never stay at motel 6 again.

Property had roaches

Horrible! Run! Shouldn’t even be offered on this website. I stay at cheap motels all the time and this was the worst ever. Fecal matter on the bathroom door, bathroom door wouldn’t shut, and sticky substance on the floor. We couldn’t take our shoes off. We asked to switch rooms and the door was falling off the hinges in the second room. So gross! We left after the first night and stayed somewhere else

Missing baseboard. Bathroom was dirty. Room did not look or feel clean. I did not feel safe staying in this motel.

Where to start... the pictures reflecting the room was immensely inaccurate. The laminate flooring was incredibly filthy. We had a water spill by the sink and after wiping it up the towel it was brown. The floor in the room was sticky. The curtain rod was not attached to the wall which made it difficult to close. Probably wouldn't have made a difference since it appeared the windows have never been washed. There was trash in the hallway. The door to the bathroom was missing laminate. The sink drained extremely slowly. The front desk person was rude and indifferent. We were in Milwaukee for a concert and trust me if we were not pressed for time we would not have stayed. Having said that, when we got back to Motel 6 around 11:00 that night we were greeted by several young men loitering outside. Also, a young women in a puffy jacket, bikini underware and her pants hanging around her ankles. There were a few people sleeping in their vehicles. We were worried that our car would be gone in the morning. BUT, on a positive note....we didn't hear any gunshots.

Our stay was on July 11 and when we got there the place was filthy and stunk like marijuana. the floors in room were disgusting and cracks and gaps with holes in floor in bathroom. towels and blankets had stains on them. no batteries in remote or smoke detector. Cigarette ashes and butts on floor by window and screens were broken. absolutely the worst gross place I have ever seen. oh and bed was covered with plastic covering under disgusting sheet!! Could go on but I feel like my point has been made!!!

This was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. We couldn’t get into our room without the security guard smashing the door open with his shoulder. There was no carpet, hairdryer, tissues, coffee maker, drinking cups or adequate bedding. The door knob for the bathroom had been smashed off and was left hanging so the door could not be closed. The drain for the washbasin was blocked. The TV still had the original packing plastic and labels on the screen. The noise from upstairs and the corridors continued until the early hours. I could feel the springs in the mattress so sleeping was almost a non event.

The room had peeling ceilings. The baseboards were coming apart from the wall. There was a baby roach in the sink (have pictures). The top of the toilet was cracked and instead of being replaced it was glued poorly back together. The door didn't close all the way when exiting, so you'd have to make sure it was closed before you left every time! The key would randomly stop working to open my room door!! There's only ONE entrance to the building, as the other doors are exit only! The TV has a faulty HDMI cable so the TV wouldn't work until I had the desk clerk to check it. Other residents allow their small children to play in the hallways and knock on the adjacent doors. Residents also left trash in the hallway outside of their room when there's a sign that asks for them not to.…the list goes on!!

Dead bolt was stripped off of the door. The bed comforter was more like the thickness of a bed sheet, and they only had 2 flat pillows in the room. The mattress was very uncomfortable, old and bouncy/ no support. Doesn’t feel very safe there when you get policed called there.

Yeah it's on the cheaper side sure but the overall condition of the facility is quite rough around the edges. The secondary lock was broken off/gone from my door to start,the door key card worked after 20 swipes,one of 3 lights worked in the room,toilet seat was loose about to fall off the toilet. Emergency exits were not secured shut as the didn't close properly amongst others. Will not be staying at another of these hotels,ill spend the extra $40 to stay somewhere better

The bed was horrible. Couldn’t close the bathroom door the light switches didn’t have a porpoise. The tv didn’t work tight

The bedroom and bathroom were fine, actually a lot cleaner and more pleasant than some Motel 6s I've stayed in. I wasn't expecting the lack of a desk, but it was fine overall. The TV selection was great too... I actually watched FOUR different channels! (I don't like many, lol!) My one complaint about the motel itself would be that housekeeping threw away a mostly full drink I'd left on the floor because there wasn't everywhere else to put it, but that wasn't a big deal. One thing I might complain about is... my hotel neighbors. Two nights in a row I was woken up or kept awake by banging, and the first night I didn't think of calling the front desk, and the second night I was too nice. What I really loved about this hotel was... the service! When my phone gave out and almost made me late, the staff called a cab, and even Googled the address for me! When housekeeping told me they weren't going to come back to my room, the staff noted it and housekeeping came back! Finally, upon my check out, when I explained about the disturbances, the lady helping me gave me a discount! My final ratings for the hotel are as follows: Room- B Staff/Service-A/A Neighbors-F With service like that, I hope to be back! Keep up the great work!

We had to re-up our key cards several times during the 2 day stay

I couldn't turn off the TV and it was loud and the other residents were loud and slamming doors. The air conditioning was sub par as well

Side table lights did not work. No cable on the tv had no signal. Shower head broken and only came with one bath towel. You get what you paid for.

This Motel is only ok if you need a cheap place to sleep for a night or 2, as I did because I was working late hours. The good thing was that the bed was comfortable & the bed sheets, covers & pillow cases were all clean, but the towels had stains on them, some of the lights in the room didn't work, my TV didn't work, the shower head was coming off the wall so was the fire alarm in the bathroom? you could tellI housekeeping hadn't been there for awhile- there was already garbage in the garbage can, I had to take an Advil PM both nights to sleep bc of the noise if not from the front desk lobby, from the room directly above me banging on the floor with kids running around at 11pm. I was on the 1st floor (they said I couldn't change my room to a higher floor) so you could hear all the coming & going of ppl of a low caliber, or low income- for lack of a better word. The hotel staff was really nice especially the manager with the blond hair (wig) apologized to me for the room near the lobby. My stay was ok I didn't spend time there except to sleep, but I wouldn't stay there again.

Checking in was super easy and convenient. We had an issue with our room and there was no issues with changing it. Shout out to the front desk associate Trey, he was so very helpful and accommodating to our needs. Thank you, Trey.

Check in took forever, they had an ipad that was not working properly. I was in town for a club event. So i checked in and put my things in my room which wasn't very clean at all smelked of cigarettes and smoke. I left to go to my event. When i returned keys didn't work and the master key that the desk had didnt work either needless to say we had to sit in the lobby with all type of undesirables, prostitutes coming and going with my belongings locked in the room for hours. The GM was called and they were trying to figure out a solution. Finally get in our room hours later. Needless to say NEVER AGAIN.

Front dest rude

First, the pips in the bathroom busted and flooded the room. So they had to put me in another room. The second room they tried to put me in had a family in it already with a dog. So they tried to put me in another room. That third room had a family in it also. At that point I just asked for my money back. I called the following Monday to inform the manager what happened. I was told that she was busy and they hung up the phone. I called back an hour later and was told that she doesn't want to speak to me and hung up the phone again. This was the worse experience I've EVER had with a hotel

Don't waste your time, and with the times we currently live in...most definitely, don't waste your money!! Talk about an experience that is parallel to hell. Somebody! Anybody!! Please tell me..Why did they give me a room that was already occupied? People coming out the room, wondering why I'm trying to get in. Everything was bad. NO LIE! EVERYTHING. ALL BAD !! TRASH IN THE HALLWAYS .. UNFRIENDLY HOSTESS..WITH A STANK ATTITUDE. SHAME ON YOU..FOR SLAPPING THE NAME MOTEL 6 ON THE SIDE OF THIS HELL HOLE. AND IT DEFINITELY DOESN'T COMPLIMENT THE NEIGHBORHOOD. BURN IT DOWN! AND START OVER .. I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN THAT THINGS WERE GOING TO GO SOUTH WHEN I WALKED IN AND SAW PLEXIGLASS SEPARATING THE CUSTOMERS FROM THE "INHOSPITALITY" STAFF AT THE FRONT DESK...Do BETTER!!!

Love the staff

I love how Ashley always greets everyone with a smile, and when I had a issue she instantly made sure it was addressed. Also, she went out of her way even though The coffee period was over and went and made and fresh pot for me and another person staying in the hotels here. Love the smell of fresh cleaning everytime

My TV didn't work in the room they reserved me in so the guy at the front desk was kind enough to move me into a bigger, better room. Very great customer service

Police presence extremely bad . Have to be buzzed in and they have bullet proof glass loll. Police run your plates and check the roster of guests to harass What’s crazy is this area the hotel sits in is a very nice neighborhood. Even the HOOD hotels aren’t even this bad smh . Dirty hallways room was okay.

The people who work there were wonderful! The desk clerks, the security guard... all really super, nice, helpful, cheerful, and doing a great job. The hotel itself had some pretty rough people staying there. Also, the building was a little rundown and damaged.

Definitely one to avoid. We had 2 nights booked left after one. Just needed a cheap hotel as part of a road trip and this was the cheapest for a reason! Intense smell of marijuana from the moment you enter. Room was shabby need of modernisation. People with 'chaotic lives' roaming around the place, I assume the hotel is booked for temporary state housing. We were amused by the sign for a reserved parking spot outside for Police drug agency. Staff were great, even refunded the second night no question. In fact we assumed no-refund but they stopped us and let us know!

The location is great for dining/shopping. Rooms were fairly standard but definitely had everything you need for a short trip/work trip. Staff was friendly!

People milling about the parking lot, and near the entrance. Also, there was NO SOAP in the room. I had to go buy my own soap.

The people at the entrance were friendly; although it's a strange place to hang out. The room was very sparsely furnished. There was no shampoo and no washcloth with the two towels provided. The hotel is directly across the street from a good pizza joint and a short distance away from McDonalds. There was a lobby that was cordoned off from use. That was odd. There was a part/chunk of the wall in the bathroom that were missing near the floor. And a sign that reserves a parking spot for the police is NOT a good sign of safety in the neighborhood. The number of channels provided were limited and not "mainstream." There was no USA, no ABC, NBC or CBS or PBS to my knowledge. I shall not be back to a Motel 6 - even if the light is left on for me!

Don't know why this Motel 6 often gets a bad rap online (or similar ones across the US I've stayed in over 3 decades as a touring musician). This one's in my town & my go-to when I need a room. Stayed here many times. I've also suggested it to friends. First I'll say that M6 continues to be what it's always been: a no-frills, budget motel. It's one of the most affordable around if you just need a safe, clean place to sleep & don't care about all the fancy stuff that upscale places use to justify their upscale prices. You getting breakfast here? Nope. There's 20+ joints within two blocks. I've seen complaints about crime and police presence - it's in the CITY, y'all. It comes in from the streets and staff deals with it as best they can, and they do it professionally. I've seen WAY worse in other cities, and not just at M6. Speaking of staff, they've always been courteous and helpful to me. Saw them get yelled at by rude customers quite a few times, and take it all in stride. I know they try to help the less-fortunate as best they can cuz I've seen them do it more than once. The few times I've had a minor issue, like dead remote batteries (once); or needed a blanket (once) - I respectfully let them know, and they were on it in minutes. Tbh, I don't envy their jobs cuz they deal with a LOT of BS. This is a slice of the real world here, folks, if you can't handle it, go stay in the suburbs. I love it. PS. Never saw a bed bug or a roach. Ever. Whoever says otherwise be crazy!

Basic accomodation. Great value for the cost. Friendly staff. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Shower was great. No breakfast but a Mcdonalds 1/2 block away.

The Motel 6 in Glendale is on it's last legs. My room had one working light in the bathroom and one on the side of the bed. There was no power to the other lights and in fact, other lights didn't even have bulbs. There is no coffee or hot water in the lobby at any time of the day and you couldn't Maria said they don't provide it even though the website says they do. The room was absolutely gross and the common areas of the hotel were not just shabby. but were dirty. I can handle old and imperfect, but I wanted a clean room, working lights and to get a cup of coffee from the lobby. Motel 6 failed on all levels. It is clearly an "off record" transient hotel. The staff are cordial if not pleasant and that's the only positive thing I can say. It's not their fault that there are roaches crawling around in broad daylight. I left the room after a couple of minutes of inspection. The roach on the wall in the bathroom was an unpleasant find and I couldn't stay even though at that point I had not received a refund. I couldn't find a room in the area that fit my budget so I worked my way home. The only positive comment I can make is that the shower stall (no tub) appeared to be clean and the bed was made with a blanket and sheets free from stains. Housekeeping isn't at fault for bugs and disrepair. I urge anyone reading this not book and hope for the best. If you're like me, need a a cheap room and don't expect much, you will still be disgusted by this dump.
