Was locked out of our room multiple times..once because they didn’t give us the second card type needed for the pool side room (they blamed maintenance for not telling them the lock wasn’t changed…you are one team, office should know the status of any room before renting it out) and second is because they only checked us in for one day even though we paid for two. Grounds are dirty, pool and hot tub are down indefinitely, pillows are terrible. Stay somewhere else.

The hotel had a decent outside appearance. But none of the outside security doors worked. Half the doors inside hotel were jammed,hard to shut or open. If there was a emergency we couldn't get out. No hot tub! Pool was freezing cold. Beds were comfy. Trash was never emptied. Bathroom never cleaned our whole stay. My son's room had hair all over shower wall and on some towels. Unsanitary. TV only got sports channel, for what we spent highly disappointed. We would moved if there were other motels with a vacant! Only real good thing was the cleanliness and upkeep of the breakfast bar. She was amazing,kept it cleaned and stock. Great attitude. Said she was with the Hotel for 20+years.it shows her pride in her work. Pool area garbage cans were full all the time. Equipment to play shuffleboard was broke and missing, game room was ok few games not working. Grounds around outside pool : the floor pads were raised and sloppy. This was our 2nd stay there and last. So sad. WATCH OUT ,the front desk will keep charging you. My friend got charged 3x for the same day. Unhappy customer.

I have been doing maintenance in nursing homes, hospital and apartments for over 30 years. Upon arrival, building is in need of an update. Entrance and reception areas were nice, clean. To their credit, there are pages on the walls throughout stating that they are in the middle of a remodel. The hostess at the registration was friendly and knowledgeable. Breakfast was scrambled eggs, biscuits, gravy, sausage patties, waffle maker and all the other stuff. The room was partially remodeled with new laminate flooring. Room was clean. The ceiling tiles in the bathroom (yes, ceiling tile. rest of the room was popcorn texturing), some of them were not sitting correctly and open to the second floor. Toilet paper holder was falling out of the wall. Room had some drywall patches. The refrigerator was on the warmest setting, had to wait for it to cool down. TV was set to surround sound (which there is none) and you could not hear the voice, so you turn it up and then when the music plays in the movies, it was so loud. I fixed that and I am sure my neighbor was happy. AC worked well but is in a need of a diffuser, to point it up. It blows at the bed. Every 1 of the ice makers were out of order. Not sure what was going on there, you had to go to the attached bar to get ice. Vending machines did not have product in them so one would assume that they do not work. They did have a small selection at registration to purchase. Hot tub was not working Pool area was huge and very nice.

Homeless slept in parking lot the 2 nights we were there. The lock on the entrance "D" to the building was destroyed, no possible way to secure it. The place was filthy.

The hotel is rooms around a huge pool entertainment area called the dome. The parties went past 1:30 a.m. the night I stayed. Dome supposed to stop at 10 pm. Need staff to enforce the rules. If you're not into parties DON'T stay here. Also my toilet didn't flush correctly and place looks run down except for the Dome.

Was told AFTER checking in that the pool was closed and the hot tub was filled in with concrete. Then when we got to the room, it was full of black mold. The place looks like it should be condemned. I demanded a refund. I was told it was processed. I called Expedia because I had nothing to prove it and they didn’t process anything. Expedia finally took care of it. Avoid this place!!!

Pool closed, arcade was trashed. Key card would not work from pool area to room, had to go all the way around. Offered upgrade before arrival but unavailable upon arrival. Side entrance was open for anyone to enter, key wasn’t needed to gain entry. Faucet dripped the whole time. No fan/vent in bathroom, condensation dripped from ceiling. Cabinet that holds refrigerator water damaged and base started to rot. Sheets/blankets stained. Would not recommend

The bathroom needs to be deep cleaned. The vent was totally clogged with dirt, there was a lot of black mold on the ceiling, and the floor was full of dirt and hair. A waste basket should always be in a bathroom. In the main room, the frig should be on, there should be a remote to operate the TV near the television (not at the front desk), and the cord from the microwave should reach the nearest outlet. A mandatory time for kids to be in their rooms and not running around screaming in the common area within earshot of every room, at least by 10 p.m. Good food, but needs to be refilled more often.

Ive managed hotels for years and now own my own cleaning business. I walked in my bed looked like someone had already slept in it. Bathroom was really dirty. And I wont even speak about the floors. Pillows were balls of cotton and just thrown on the bed.

Very dirty. Not keeping up with cleaning - room had a dirty (you know what I mean) toilet plunger in bathroom and hair in shower. Common areas were littered with debris and hadn’t been vacuumed in a long time. Kids play room had pizza crusts and beer cans laying around the floor.

We realize we chose a more affordable option and expected it to be a mediocre hotel, but it was terribly unclean and the preview photos on Google were deceiving. The facade is very run down, the halls and stairwells look like they’ve never seen a vacuum, there were dead bugs and someone’s pubes in the bathroom, light fixtures were dangling out of their sockets, and everything seemed to be layered in filth (random splotches and smears on all surfaces). One of our kids said they didn’t feel safe staying there, but we ended up staying and leaving as soon as possible. I think the hotel has potential and we did see it is under new ownership, so we want to give them some grace, but it was truly an uncomfortable experience.

Unfortunately this hotel is extremely dirty. My shower came with someone elses soap and leaking conditioner. Lets not forget the lack of linens, dirty carpets, dirty walls, and ceiling tiles on the carpet. The black mold in the bathroom AND above the bed was absolutely unsafe and unhealthy. Thank goodness there wasn't a fire! The fire alarm seemed to be replaced by a rusty hole on my room ceiling. Never again.

The beds were clean but, not made well. Hair and mold in bathroom. The toilet was not secure.Mold on ceiling above the bathtub. A lot of dust on a vent or something above the toilet. The room was repainted very poorly and I was not able to take off my shoes until I went to bed, The sink was not clean . The bathroom door had been split at the handle and was not able to lock it. Also, the door was very dirty on the bathroom side. No phone in room. Out dated furniture. The tv was fine.

The two ice machines did not work. The pillows felt like thin cloth stuffed with very little batting. They were horrible. The pool and hot tub was not open. The conference area and play area was beautiful but the rooms and hallways were drab, dirty, and old. There was no elevator. Checking in was a very long process so there was always a line. People were coming back saying their room they just checked into had not been clean. I saw several rooms on my floor with the doors cracked open and the rooms did not look like they had been cleaned for days.

Even though still under renovation and recently reopened, our stay was comfortable and quiet. Troy and Audrey on front desk went above and beyond to take care of our every need and make our stay the best it could be. The free breakfast was full of choices and the cook/attendant was very friendly and attentive. They have a nice pool area, and arcade room that we didn't use. I did use the fitness room that is limited. It was a bit obvious that they opened while still needing to complete work and hire more staff. Details of cleaning could have been better. All surfaces weren't dusted well, the refrigerator and microwave needed to be wiped out. Our last night we noticed a new presence of small ants are the outside of the refrigerator. Even though still under renovation and recently reopened, our stay was comfortable and quiet. Troy and Audrey on front desk went above and beyond to take care of our every need and make our stay the best it could be. The free breakfast was full of choices and the cook/attendant was very friendly and attentive. They have a nice pool area, and arcade room that we didn't use. I did use the fitness room that is limited. It was a bit obvious that they opened while still needing to complete work and hire more staff. Details of cleaning could have been better. All surfaces weren't dusted well, the refrigerator and microwave needed to be wiped out. Our last night we noticed a new presence of small ants are the outside of the refrigerator. We called to make sure checking in late at night wasn’t an issue, and upon arrival we were waiting at the front desk for service and a women stumbled from the parking lot with another man drinking beers and was VERY rude saying she was right there to help us, not hi be right with you, but a hey idiots I’m right here, although the receptionist was outside stumbling around looking as drunk as the bartender she was hanging out with. Then we were told the room we booked and confirmed 30 minutes prior to arrival was not avaliable and no compensation for the $25 we paid extra for a king bed. She seemed like she wasn’t going to help us at all so we decided to cut our losses and accept any room she could click and find for us. The bedroom pillows looked like someone rubbed them on the ground outside and then threw them on the bed. We weren’t expecting much from this place but I wouldn’t stay here again if my life depended on it. Worst $100 I’ve ever spent. Might I suggest the staff isn’t drinking beers out front when guests arrive. Might make for a better and cleaner run place.

We had an issue with our rooms lack of cleanliness and the front desk was genuinely concerned also and immediately contacted Mgmt whom had us moved to another room. Every staff member we encountered including their restaurant staff was so pleasant and eager to please. The motel is undergoing some construction but has great plans for bringing this facility back to its original glory. Thank you for a friendly, caring, and welcoming staff.

We showed up at 7pm and were told the room still wasn't clean and there were multiple other parties still waiting for their rooms as well. When we didn't hear back about our room being ready by 8pm we found another property. We did not feel good about the property while we aited because the bathrooms were dirty, 2 of the 3 stalls were out of order, it smelled, did not have paper towels and one of the staff members was seen leaving the bathroom without washing their hands. I spoke with the front desk about not being charged for the reservation or cancellation and was told that I would not be. The breakfast was very good. The room was not ready when we arrived. Seems to be a common comment. Bathroom had clean towels, but also had two dirty ones on the door hook (one with a little blood). Corn chips (from others) on the floor along with misc. soil. Two dental flossers left on the floor. One bedspread was dirty or stained. Mattress was very soft (spouse awakened with a sore back). Coffee pot had a used coffee packet in it. We will not be back!

The hotel is right off the expressway and a mile from the canoe rental we were there to use. Very convenient and cost effective. The pool area was nice, but the cement around the pool looked like it needed a bit of maintenance and the overall look is a bit dated. It was clean and comfortable though.

I have stayed here a couple of times in the past with my husband, and it has changed a lot. The pool was not open this time around and the buffet style restaurant is no longer open, except for the continental breakfast from 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Our room was okay. The beds were comfortable. I brought my own pillows from home, but my mom, who travelled with me, did not and she did not like the pillows that were provided. She said they were too lumpy. I did have to ask the front desk three times for extra towels because housekeeping never answered the front desk's calls or messages to bring them to our room. I finally received them from the front desk. I am disappointed that the buffet style restaurant is no longer open (only for breakfast) but happy that the Flat Rock Bar & Grill was there, but they are only open from Wednesday thru Sunday starting at 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. for the kitchen and 11:00 p.m. for the bar. They had great food and service, though, and we liked the atmosphere of it. Overall, our stay was nice. The hotel itself needs some cosmetic work, which it looked like they were in the process of doing. The front desk attendants were nice but looked/acted like they did not want to be there. If we ever stay here again, hopefully the pool will be open, and some cosmetic work will have been done.

I reserved and paid for a room arrive to be told the was no room available. Lady at hotel said they can refund but they haven't been paid. I was told to get ahold of you and settle the issue. Of course I can't reach a live agent no matter what I did and I was told it is non refundable and it then disconnected me . This all went done within 10 minutes of paying for the room. I want my money back asap!!!!
