Enjoyable stay. Lovely room with expansive view of the river. Limited options for an early breakfast. I suggest self catering. Only downside is the policy that people can smoke on their balconies. We suffered from second hand smoke from a nearby balcony.

Staff were very friendly & accomadating to our request to stay an extra day. Rooms were big & clean. There was plenty of parking & they had a Hotel a short walk from our room where you could enjoy the lovely river view while you had a nice meal & drink.

Staff went above and beyond. Great water views, rooms are huge, lots of great little extras to make your stay more enjoyable. Bed was comfortable, pool was so relaxing. Food was beyond at the tavern. Cant wait to go back.

Large (very large!) and comfortable room. No microwave, though which was a shame, and no knives, forks or cutlery, other than teaspoons on the tea cups. Beautiful location on the river, with easy access to a paved walkway.

Great value. The room was big and very comfortable. It opened out onto a patio with a great pool not too far way. Unfortunately the weather prohibited us enjoying a dip.

Great accomodation on the Hastings River with a good pub next door and golf course across the road. The room setup would be improved if there was a toaster and microwave and basic crockery/cutlery.

We loved our stay so much we stayed an extra night. Yes the bathroom is a little dated but the rooms are huge and so very comfortable. The pool area was lovely and quiet for a relaxing swim. We will definitely be back.

Clean friendly and comfy.

First room they checked us into was full of ants, went and got another room just smelt of mould and dampness as you can see from the photo. The pillow was laying on the floor all night and sucked up a little water very not happy. Won’t be staying there again.

Room size great hotel was not as clean as previous time we have stayed. Location excellent.

River Lodge was quiet. Irish pub next door - good meals and atmosphere. Friendly staff. Our River Lodge room was in real need of maintenance (including outdoor furniture, torn sofa cushion covers and curtains). Our room had an older TV - very limited channels. Unable to get basic free to air channel. Housekeeping/staff resolved (or tried to) a couple of issues we had. Bath tub needed a good clean (soap scum ring).

Room very spacious and clean. Excellent views looking over river. Grounds immaculate. Would definately stay again!

Vanity basin was badly cracked. Water was not overly hot.

Our very large room had amazing views over the river. The decor a little dated but everything was neat and tidy and in working order.

Beautiful spot on the river and golf course. Lovely room with a feel of traditional luxury. Fabulous bathroom with a deep bathtub.

Chairs need to be replaced as all 3 were different and generally not comfortable

I had to wait a few minutes for someone to welcome me and check me in, with the team member more focused on telling me how she was the only person who did things "around here". There was no paper to print any of my booking details onto, etc. The room was large, but not practical - big tv, great! couch sitting right next to tv so you had to sit on the bed to watch the tv... not so great.

The room was very spacious and clean with a lovely view of the river. Very short reception hours so difficult to speak to staff about booking and had to leave a message about phone charger left behind.

Hotel was great, staff very friendly, I was given an upgrade to a superior king room with water view, would definitely stay at this hotel if needed again.

Absolutely brilliant. Fantastic managers - friendly, professional, helpful. The room was a great - nice size and very comfortable.

The property was fine. Errors by Expedia made booking in slow. We were charged more than Expedia booked us for, and the property eventually gave us a refund, claiming they had no rooms available at the Expedia rate.

Staff and Management where excellent, However the New owners decided to do an inspection and without notice or knocking opened and entered unit17 while i was resting on bed and my wife was reading on deck, 5 min earlier my wife was changing out of swimming costume , the rest of our stay my wife could not relax, Craig the Manager was not informed the owners where entering units uninvited, he apologized but this entry ruined our stay. This was the third occasion this year we have stayed at the resort. It ruined our 35 aniversary.

Very generous size rooms with king bed. Very close to Tavern for meals & drinks. Walking access to golf course. Only negative was having trouble trying to call reception for booking enquires & absence of service staff around. Would definitely stay again in the future.

The location was handy just off the Highway in a resort type complex, the staff were polite gave us our room on arrival at one despite normal check in frome two. On the site is a great Pub with Restaurant where we had a nice lunch overlooking the river and mangroves. Huge room and King bed. Very quiet too.

Great location for a stop between QLD and Canberra. Great facilities, large comfortable rooms and plenty of food and beverage facilities right next door.

Great place to stay on a road trip. Beautiful view and the restaurant had live music when we arrived Saturday afternoon. A bonus. Room and bathroom are spacious and has a lovely view.

The property is well located beside the Manning River, The proximity, walking distance to the Tavern, makes it a no brainer as well. Staff were friendly and the food was good. Makes a big difference when you are travelling and can get a good meal where you stop over night. Went for a walk on the walking trail and it was so peaceful and lots of people around to share your early morning walk with. We loved the place and will be back as part of our Sydney commute.

Love staying here on our trips to Sydney. Spacious room and comfortable bed with access to the river walk and the Irish Tavern next door. Very quiet and comfortable and love the reasonable price. Definitely value for money.

It’s a great stopover the hotels right next door and the golf course we had breakfast at the Golf Club and dinner at the pub. Next door highly recommend.

What a great place to stay on my journey from Brisbane to Sydney. Food at the bar was ordinary but ok and I was glad to have brought my own pillows but otherwise I loved it and still give it a rating of 10

The room was nice, as booked it only because of the spa (wrong size plug) travelled an extra hour each way just for the spa which couldn't use, the house keeping was way below standards as spiders in room, noodles in draws, fridge didn't stay closed (morning tea for sunday went off) called reception about 9:40pm in regards to the spa explained that we paid extra and travelled an extra hr each way just for that reason. The food on other hand was a totally disappointing as when we ordered we asked for our entrees to come first now when buzzer went off the partner went to get the entrees well after taking little time i went to.see what the hold up was she was walking back with the mains ($80 seafood platter) which being the size of partner and what it was someone should of brought it over, than a few mins later they than bring the entree, but even before we had the chance to finish both they then brought oer the dessert which we were no where near ready, staff told us they will take it back and get fresh ones for us when we are ready well when it came time they brought out the one they tried to give to us 20mins ago my partners ice-cream was just a puddle of liquid (not fresh) as i have worked in the seafood industry for over 20yrs i can say what was brought out to us for an $80 platter was no where even close to $50 worth of food and everything would of taken no more than 10mins to cook. Only way I'd return is if the property gave some sort of reimbursement or discount

There was no breakfast available. Poor range of vegetarian menu options for dinner. Very good size room with lovely river view.

Such a beautiful relaxing setting. The staff are all so accommodating and happy. The food was exceptional and very reasonably priced. Many thanx for the extra care given to my 92 year old mother. Will definitely be back. The one negative for us was the pillows definitely need replacing 😂
