Sleep Inn Gaffney at I-85

Pool was empty, no gathering areas inside, breakfast area was 100 degrees and food wasn't good, room was musty and smelled like smoke. Broken down van in parking lot with grill- possibly homeless people living there. Staff was nice, but hotel was terrible besides the location. Went with a ball team and we had to congregate in the parking lot. Do not recommend.

Nice pool. Older but okay. The only thing was the back door to parking lot was unlocked and anyone could come in

Good place to stay for the price. Easy access to I-85 and convenient to gas food etc. The rooms were clean and pool was clean. The breakfast was good. The yard was little overgrown so it was hard to take the dog out for her business but overall I would definitely stay again.

Property had lobby and breakfast area under renovations. That wasnt made known at the time it was booked. The room was clean but warm and it took an hour or two for the a/c to bring the temp down but eventually it did. After that the room was fine. The bathroom was clean but the shower was small and the showerhead low for anyone over 6ft tall. Apparently this hotel allowed smoking because we could smell the stench of cigarette smoke from somewhere on our floor near our room. The night clerk was a pleasant young man and very helpful. The morning clerk was polite and friendly. The breakfast left much to be desired. Eggs were watery and not very warm. Homefries were over cooked. Bicuits were cold and hard. The coffee service was in the exercise room in which the air was warm and smelled musty. There was one tiny piece of bacon and when I asked the attendant for more she replied "No. No more bacon". Then she went back to her laptop and the facetime conversation in which she had been involved. She was neither very friendly nor did she appear to be efficient.

Pool was open. Crystal blue. Room was clean and large. Front desk staff remembered me and felt like homecoming. Love their fresh coffee making machine at the front. Always hot. Really enjoy my visits here.I will be back. Breakfast is always convenient.

When we got the room,we didn't know that the property was under renovation I guess that's why we only paid $63 for the one night stay, but in all I hope everything will look great once the hotel is upgraded to franchise standards

So loud from trucks you cannot sleep. Bad smell and not very clean.

The front desk staff were very nice and helpful. The room was a nice size but the bathroom shower had not been cleaned and I wore my sandals anytime I walked on the rug. It was not clean.

This establishment needs a complete reboot. Upon entering the room we were immediately hit with a strong musty odor. Further, the carpet was stained and was not vacuumed. The bathroom towels were damp, requiring us to request a new set from the front desk staff. There were mutiple stains on the walls, not to mention the evidence of moldy discoloration on the ceiling. Under normal circumstances we would have refused the room and requested a refund. Unfortunately, due to Hurricane Helene, all hotels in the area were at full occupancy, so we made the best of it and purchased a cheap stick vacuum, carpet fresh, and Febreze from Wal-Mart to help with the smell and dirty carpet. The hotel staff was friendly and apologetic as the hurricane caused an outage of the Internet and cable television. Check-in was also a little challenging as the staff had to rely on using a cell phone to confirm the reservation.

The whole place smells terrible, floors and carpet very dirty.

We planned a 3 night stay at this hotel for my sister in laws wedding. We arrived around 9pm and with a young child we ate dinner and went to bed. My husband took a shower before he went to bed and saw fecal matter on the bathroom walls in several places. The shower had hair all over the walls and baby powder on the floor of the shower. Since my daughter and I were asleep he just decided to stay. The next morning I got up to shower and observed the disgusting restroom. We showered and I walked across the floor of the hotel room telling my husband even after the shower I didn’t feel clean. I decided since we were attending a church ceremony outside, I would put on baby powder. Well, I went back to rinse off and my feet were BLACK from walking on the carpet. I am Caucasian. We checked out and I said I would argue a refund with Hotels.com. The manager wouldn’t come out to talk to me but told the front desk I would be refunded. I have not been refunded yet. Oh and the fire hazard hair dryer.

This place is nasty and full of bugs. My 2 year old had several bite marks on her....

The room was dirty and very small. Weird round shower. Mattresses were on metal stands. We all banged our knees on the corners of the metal. Breakfast was below average. However, the front desk staff were very nice and helpful.

There were two heels of a loaf of bread, some stale-looking muffins, and some overcooked microwave omelets. This was at 7:30. We decided to skip breakfast.

The Sleep Inn was clean and inviting as well as a great location for bringing my daughter to college. However, it is extremely close to the highway and extremely noisy. The room also had a funky smell that never went away even after turning on the fan continuously.

It’s located right beside the interstate, so that’s all you hear all night long.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Facility was clean. Bed was very comfortable.

The staff and everyone we came on contact with was always pleasant. I seen the same 10 muffins at breakfast during our 3 day stay. Very affordable hotel with a good bed.

Check in was friendly and fast. Unfortunately, our room was on the west side next to I-85. I was very bothered by the big rigs running through the room. If that bothers you, ask for a room on the east side of hotel.

Melissa at the front desk was very hospitable and courteous. I accidentally left a pair of nice headphones, and she didn’t hesitate to mail them back to me.

Staff was very helpful and nice. Room was clean.

Our TV did not work and staff did not offer to help in trying to get it to work. We were just offered another room, but did not want to deal with moving. Also, we had a cockroach crawl across our wall.

Our stay was good but I left my jacket there. I called them and they said they found it and would mail it to me. I waited a week and called back. The manager talked to me and said she would find it and mail it to me and she would call when she mailed it. Never heard from them again.

The staff while we were there was excellent. But We felt ripped off after we left because we were charged $30 for a dirty wash cloth ... when we called about it the woman on the phone seemed kind of rude. I think it's crazy that they charged so much for a stained wash cloth when the linen was stained as well as the floor. The first room we were given the toilet didnt work. The bathroom door had brown spots all over it from no yelling what. I don't think I would recommend this place.

I was well pleased with the facility and the kindness and courtesy shown to us. We were even offered a chance to change our room if it was too noisy due to it being near the interstae side of the Inn. I will definately be booking another stay with the Sleep Inn in the future. I hope all them are like this one! :)
