Easy check-in, large super pet friendly rooms with treats and a comfy dog bed. Room service a bonus. Beautiful grounds and a nice indoor pool. We will be back for sure !!

Room was fairly spacious and quiet, but shower was a bit strange—control starts in (very) hot position, rotates to cold instead of usual vice versa, and design results in wet bathroom floor. Check-in is in the casino entrance, which of course is smoky, but luckily room was not smelly. No elevator as far as we could tell, so a bit of effort hauling stuff up. I enjoyed the Western themed pictures and art in the hallways. There is no elevator, so I did have to carry luggage up stairs. And the casino smells like an ash tray but luckily didn't smell it in our room.

Clean room. Easy quick check in with perks of 2 free drinks for us at the casino bar. Enjoyed the restaurant that had lots of options both Mexican food and American. Awesome burger!! Good salsa and chips. Room was quiet and comfortable with lots of tv channels. Easy access right off the main drag going through Ely. Would definitely stay here again. Less expensive than other top brands in the area although no free breakfast. Best price was on Expedia website.

This hotel was extremely clean, the hallways, the common area restrooms and the rooms themselves. I only have 2 complaints…we’re elderly and we were placed on the 2nd floor and there is no elevator, so we had to drag our luggage up stairs. After the first night our room key didn’t work so we had to walk back downstairs then back up. Finally the tub and sink was very slow to drain which made showering and teeth brushing uncomfortable. We did get a good night sleep and the room was equipped with a fridge, microwave and coffee maker.

Super friendly staff! Restaurant for breakfast was decent diner food. Room was super clean and AMAZING water pressure for the shower. Slept great on the bed and good heater/cool/fan. We were incredibly comfortable.

This was a solid stay - I would give it a '4' but the bed had a big depression across the middle, as though it had been bent in half and left like that for a long time. I don't have back problems but it was sore the next day. With that said, front staff were very nice, and the Mexican restaurant was unexpectedly delicious! Two more things, when I entered the room, the trash can that would sit under the vanity was on the counter next to the sink, ick. And the bathroom trash can was sitting on the edge of the bathroom with a plunger in it, double ick. And the toilet had a ring around it. Whoever was cleaning the floor left in a hurry. I will never stop wishing that hotel guests coud have more self-awareness about not slamming their hotel doors so loudly that it wakes the dead. Come on people!

Check in was great, very friendly and efficient. Room was great. I gave less than 5 stars as the bathroom countertop and sink was not clean and it was obvious that the Hotel amenities (shower gel, lotion etc) were left over from previous room occupants. While the rest of the room was clean, it was clear that the sink and counter top was missed. We had a light bulb out and got excellent and quick service for that. Other than the sink being not clean,( i cleaned it myself with disinfectant wipes) everything else was good.

Checking in was very good but the next morning we discovered the drain in the bathtub was letting water back up 6 to 8 inches deep. I informed the maid to contact maintenance. Later we returned to the room to discover the maid failed to clean the room except halfway making the bed and leaving two towels. The garbage was not taken out and the tub was not cleaned and the coffee service had not been replaced. I complained to the front desk about the drain and service but nothing was done. The next day was not much better. The drain still was still letting water back up and coffee service wasn't replaced again and the sheets were obviously dirty but didn't get replaced. The restraunt in the hotel had good food but was crooked. Order a Taco salad for $13 and then they asked what kind of meat you want in it. What they don't tell you is they charge another $14 for the meat. So $27 for a Taco salad? Turns out they did this add on for lots of stuff. Crooks from the word go.

Probably one of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed in if you’re a non-smoker do not stay at this casino hotel the shower had a constant drip all night. I could hear every shower every bathroom and the whole hotel every time it ran, I could hear every movement from the people upstairs I could hear their voices dogs barking constantly, super uncomfortable bed, and pillows probably one of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed in, but the staff was very sweet. I have to give them that.

The mattress at one time was good, but it needs replaced. The tile in entry/bath area felt very sharp on edges due to not ever being grouted. Room very clean and staff was very helpful, friendly.

A quick stop over on the way to GBNP. Cute town. Hotel was decent enough. Nice room with thoughtful amenities. Bed mattress could have been rotated as it was against the wall. The side opposite the wall was quite low in comparison to rest of bed. It tilted downward. Had to scoot to center of bed as to not roll toward edge. Shower has NO lip, unable to move the shower head to prevent water from getting all over bathroom floor. Biggest issue was having to carry our luggage up the stairs to 2nd floor. They have rolling luggage carts, however, no elevator to get it up the stairs? If there is no elevator, they should offer to help guests up the stairs with their luggage.

Normal ck-in is 3pm, no? Had two rooms booked and arrived around 4pm and told “rooms not quite ready, need a few more minutes.” Many other folks in lobby told same thing. Three more attempts to check in but room not ready until after 5pm. Had asked desk clerk to call me when ready and never got a call. Once in rooms, one room was fine but 2nd room still had popcorn on floor. No offer for any discount or apology, or reason for late availability. No offer for late checkout either. Did not care for soap offered (personal choice), complimentary toiletries were quite small and one was half empty, vanity sink was slow when draining, noisy A/C and fan, no elevator for 2nd floor and no mention of such in website, poor lighting at inside door entry, mattresses need replacement, sides of mattresses were quite flimsy, low toilets. Did enjoy interesting memorabilia inside and outside grounds have interesting landscaping and lighting. Would NOT recommend and will not return. Sorry, wanted to like the Prospector but disappointed with whole experience. Don’t know if staff shortages were issue with rooms or not but if so, shame on Management. Worthy of improvement.

I can't say enough about how friendly and accommodating the staff at this hotel is. Every single employee we encountered took time out of their day to say hello. The hotel also had so many little touches that made the stay enjoyable. From free popcorn, to little treats left on the bed, free dink tickets, a free gift in the gift shop, this hotel just knows how to make you fell welcome. The room itself was very clean and perfectly comfortable and the food and the service in the hotel restaurant and bar exceeded out expectations. When passing through Ely, the Prospector Hotel will be the place we will stay every time.

There were very drunk, obnoxious people at the bar bothering guests. Employees were engaging in inappropriate conversation with the drunk patrons. Female bartender was unfriendly. In-room TV didn't work. Only positive was Andrea at the front desk, she was great.

Staying here has been my preferred choice over the years. We feel safer here and enjoy it being away from the busier parts of town. The restaurant inside has always pleased us. The pool area looks like it needs a little more attention than the last time we here and we had a sticky spot where the luggage sits but that’s the first time I’ve seen any issues. Hopefully it is better next time because I really like the area and still want to feel comfortable staying there.

It’s a casino in Ely, NV so we didn’t expect much. Rooms are smallish. Beds are ok comfortable. There’s no elevator so you have to cart all your luggage up a flights stairs. Family of 4 so that wasn’t fun. On sight restaurant called Margaritas had some of the worst Mexican food I’ve ever had. The hotel staff was very nice and responsive. Parking was easy and convenient. I probably won’t stay here again.

We love to stay at this hotel on our way to and from Idaho. It’s always clean and quiet. This time we went in the pool and hot tub which was nice. Hit tub was a little too hot for me but still nice. Margaritas restaurant was good for dinner and breakfast. Very convenient.

My first time staying here although we have eaten here before. Room was large with plenty of space. Came with fridge and microwave. Housekeeping was very pleasant and saw to our needs right away. Casino was nice but a little smoky. Small Mexican restaurant was good with ample portions but they do add a 3.5% surcharge to the meal if you use a credit card.

Had such a great stay. The rooms have comfortable beds and the casino is awesome! The staff is the best. The only place to eat in the casino is a mexican restaurant. Wish it had a little more to offer if you dont leave to eat elsewhere. But I still give it 5 stars. Thanks wor the wonderful accommodations.
