Front desk staff is amazing and helpful. Hotel is historic and many rooms have been remodeled but retain the historic charm. The casino is small but the bar staff is also incredible. Dennys on site is convenient if you don’t want to go out of the hotel. Rooms were clean and comfortable. This is our third stay here and it’s a good stop.

Very unique & historical hotel; fun to study artifacts and news clippings hung up around the hotel lobby & hallways. Room was very clean, but missing any hangers for clothes and no towel racks. (I reported this to the front desk upon checking out.) Bed quite comfortable. We stayed 2 nights in the President Lyndon Johnson room. Pet fee of a one-time charge of $15. for multiple nights was great! Also used the guest laundry facilities which were clean & convenient for long-term road travelers! Casino & front desk area is somewhat smoky, but not a problem to us… Wish the town of Ely could have a revitalization program to get rid of and/or spruce up the many dilapidated buildings. This historic hotel deserves to have a prominent place in an inviting, bright town.

Its an older hotel but rooms have been nicely redone,comfortable beds,pillows, and you get a voucher for a limited menu at Dennys for breakfast,and a free drink voucher for bar. Has a large parking lot in the back for trucks or larger vehicles pulling trailers.

I had a great stay! I like the charm of a classic gambling hall hotel in a small town. No problem with parking. Dennys in the premises a plus. The only downside was the smell of cıgarettes in a nonsmoking room. Not sure if it was coming from the casino.

Besides the lovely staff and the delicious meal we had at Dennys, as we were leaving, my husband realized he had left his silver cross necklace. As we called, we hoped they would find it and to our happy surprise, they had just gotten it to the front desk as we ran in. Very lovely people and a very lovely hotel. We will be choosing Hotel Nevada if we’re ever in the area!

We stayed in the newly renovated family suite. Only complaint is the bathroom sinks are way too small, and the automatic light that turns on when you enter the bathroom is annoying. Especially in the middle of the night.Also, no AC in the bunk room . Other than that, the room was really nice.

Very small rooms. Heater would run for a minute, shut off for a minute, run for a minute etc. and was very noisy! Heater too close to the bed so couldn’t regulate bed covers with the fan running off and on. Won’t stay there again.

My daughter and I stayed in a double queen room. Everything was fine except that the room was a bit on the small side and lacking of what you would normally expect for the price: No microwave, no fridge, no desk I guess because there wasn't enough square footage for them. The sink in the bathroom was tiny, like what you would find in an RV. The hotel was built in 1929 so maybe people and their expectations were smaller back then.

Very tiny room and tiny bathroom. Very noisy as well. We were in the corner of the building. Doors are loose so every time someone goes in or out of there room your door shakes as well.

The property was nice and easy to find. The employees were extremely rude and short spoken. We were told we had two free breakfast, but not told how to claim them. The next morning it was a big hassle between Denny’s and the hotel staff on how to get the breakfast paid for we end up having to pay full price because they told us we ordered the wrong meals. All staff between dennys and hotel Nevada were rude and refuse to work together. As we were leaving staff were pointing at us and talking about the issues.

This place is great! I mean it's a really old building but it's great. My only criticism is that I would have liked a little better mattress. It would elevate the stay. But all of the employees were super friendly and helpful. Loved the small town vibe. I'll be back.

Staff are very rude here. We were at the check-in counter for 4 minutes waiting for the clerk to come check in us in, mind you she had looked at as three times and then said"oh do you need to be checked in?". Staff's boyfriends hang out at the bar and get drunk and the staff come and hang all over them in front of customers. Residents in this town think they can be rude to the visitors because most of them are coming to the prison to visit inmates so they treat the civilians like crap. You have to be a part of the in crowd to be liked in this town or at any of the establishments in this town.

Stayed here before. Accustomed to compact room and bathroom. Clean. This time on 2nd floor. Unfortunately cig smoke from casino was smelled in our room because the stairs to 2nd floor completely open to casino. Unless you are a smoker, do not stay on 2nd floor. Our room looked out to a casino across street which kept their lights blazing all night long.

Interesting historic hotel in downtown Ely. The hotel building itself is old and run down but the stay was saved by the newly upgraded hotel room which was surprisingly really nice. We had 2 queen beds and a small, but nice bathroom. Super comfy bed and bedding. Great shower. Free breakfast included at Dennys downstairs and we won a few bucks in the casino. Overall great choice of hotel in Ely.

We stayed in the suite 512. It was nicely appointed due to renovation, clean and perfect for a couple. Only complaint was that the room windows face a nightlife bar with very loud music that goes to 2am in the morning. Would recommend you choose a different room if you are a light sleeper. Staff were friendly and helpful....also note they only clean the room if you're staying more than 3+ nights! Would definitely go back..

We only stayed one night, but we really enjoyed the Hotel Nevada. The room was spacious, clean, and updated, and the kids loved the queen bunk bed. A landmark in Ely, the Hotel Nevada has a long history and we felt like we were a small part of its continuing legacy. Great staff and great location.

No way around it, this is an old - some might say ‘historic’ - hotel. It has a lot of charm but it also has a lot of noise being right on the 50 as it passes through Ely. Standing in my 6th floor room, I wistfully gazed at the hotel that was two blocks off the Main Street. Oh well. On the plus side, the bed was great.

I have stayed there multiple times and this time was the worst. The shower still had the used soap in the soapdish from the previous customer. Internet was not working the entire three days I was there. The breakfast coupon from Dennys used to be for a full breakfast and coffee. Now they give $ 5.00 off. The coffee was $3.69 alone, I believe. The casino and bar were full of very loud people. Just not as good as it used to be.

Unfriendly checkin clerk, but very friendly checkout one. Beds were comfortable and rooms recently refurbished. There was a strange odor that we could never find the source. Climate control worked well. Room was dirty; toenail on the bathroom floor, a floor that appeared to have not been cleaned in weeks. Dirty countertops with two times and coffee grounds left by previous guests. Poor complimentary soap but towels and sheets were well laundered. Ridiculously small bathroom sink. Compliment Dennys breakfast and margaritas were nice bonuses, but the margs were so limey we could not drink them. Overall great value though.

King room with no king bed. After being in a queen bed for two months we were looking forward to being in a king bed. But we checked in and it was a queen bed. I told the clerk but she insisted it was a king bed. Still charged for a king room. Other than that the stay was fine. Very clean and rooms are remodeled. Victor at Dennys is the best server and cook.

I don’t recommend eating at the dennys on site. The jailhouse restaurant across the street is good. The room is very clean and the bed is very comfortable. I also wouldn’t recommend the casino. There hasn’t been a jackpot win since 2022 from what their advertisement showed.

I always stay here when in the area. It’s just a cool hotel. The rooms have been tastefully remodeled. The food in the restaurant leaves a bit to be desired. I had a steak that was tough. They also seem to be short staffed on the main floor. Overall I will stay again.
