First off you truly are welcomed by nice smiling faces. I spent 11 days there. Hot water and water pressure was amazing. On site free washers and dryers great.Having to live or choose a 1 night or month this was a place i will share with

The woman at check in was very helpful and sweet. The only thing that was very different was having to pay 5 for parking. I do a lot of traveling and I have never had to pay a parking fee in the lot of the hotel you’re staying at. But overall I had a great experience

The elevator is out of order and does not work. I am handicapped and this was a major problem the front desk person did the best he could and hauled our bags up as I slowly made my way up to the third floor. He got to the door before me and opened it to put our bags in and found someone else was still in the room. He then moved us to a studio room, and that room didn’t have any USB ports for charging phones. I was not about to go down the stairs to my truck to get the plug-in for that USB cable. They gave us a small cash discount off our price. The hotel was no more than one or two stars out of five if you need a room and have no other choice, it wasn’t bad but it might be best to find another location.

This suite set up was convenient. Large space, sufficient kitchen supplies/accessories. Shower pressure was excellent. Beds comfortable and heat/AC responsive. Quiet space. Workout room well stocked. Big snow storm came thru. They could have and should have done better job clearing one of the entrances. I and 4-5 other vehicles at different times during the weekend got stuck in the same deep snow that was insufficiently cleared. After about 36 hours was cleared. Also they charged for parking. Ask for that fee to be removed…completely unnecessary and was not clear on website that there was a fee. They were nice and easy going on fee removal.

Facilities are showing some wear and tear, but clean and orderly. Elevator was excessively warm. Hotel was full, but quiet. Parking lot was over crowded, and a bus was parked for 5 days, taking up one whole row of spots. Room was clean, cool and comfortable. A/C kept up with the 100 degree outside temp, so that was great. Kitchenette was a great option for multi-day stay. Room did initially have a distinct food smell upon entry, but some fabreze and running the A/C cleared it up.

Where do I start? I stayed less than half an hour. The first room was filthy. As were the hallways and elevators. I asked to be moved. Second room was equally dirty. Everything was worn and torn. The hallways smelled terrible like old cooked food. I couldn’t even bring myself to sit down. I received a full refund and was happy to find somewhere clean and comfortable. This place needs to be closed and completely remodeled. Worst Sonesta I have ever been to and I have traveled extensively.

I thought the laundry room was nice. The room we stayed in was large enough for the two of us. And everything worked. I didnt like the general appearance of the hotel. Outside landscaping needed to be cleaned up, parking lot needed re-paving.The lobby entrance is tiny and can get crowded. Everything seemed old, worn out, and outdated. There was food left in our units' refrigerator. 😑 Our last night stay there the police were called to the hotel TWICE. Front desk person was rather vague and blase about it when asked about it. Definitely would NOT recommend this hotel! We stayed a week and our unit wasnt cleaned ONCE that entire time. Unacceptable. This hotel is not worth the price they charge.

The people working the desk were nice, and the beds were comfortable, but the hotel is quite run down. The carpets in the hallway were soiled and did not appear to get vacuumed. The chairs in the room were worn to the stuffing, and there were gobs of caulk around the tub's faucet. People cook in their rooms and the smell in the hallway was overpowering.

There was a stench in the hallways which was unbearable. Staff couldn’t find on a not so busy day my reservations from expedia and asked me to contact Expedia rather than looking a bit harder despite me giving them the reservation numbers. They did find the reservation though after a second look. Location is very convenient. Property is poorly maintained.

There was dirt and bugs in the towels. The walls and doors had stained drip marks all over. I didn’t even get into the sheets because I was nervous about what I’d find. Didn’t even feel comfortable walking barefoot here. The hallway had torn carpet spot and a strong smell. For the price, we cancelled our stay and stayed downtown for the same price, but 10 times better. I’m so confused as to how other ratings were 8 stars and up. 2 stars is generous in my opinions. Pictures don’t do it justice.

Mold in Shower, Dripping tub faucet, dirty carpet, deteriating fixtures, holes on bathroom by lights, dirty vents, mattress with worn out middle that was sunk like a pond, hallway large stains, old worn out room needs servere updating. Two days water shut off for hours. Now repainting outside- limited parking but inside needs lacking.

Liked that we had a full sized refrigerator, microwave, room was cold and hard to control. Had to ask for more coffee packets couple of times. Room was nice, much more than I expected. Could have had harder pillows, no TV guide in room and several channels did not come in. We would stay here again.

Based on the room itself, and considering the cost, this was a 5 star winner. The room was comfortable and had everyth8ng (and more) than we needed for our one night stay. The queen bed was comfortable (pillows were NOT, wish they weren’t all flat). There was a nice working area. Plenty of storage. Comfy easy chair and full kitchen. The bathroom also provided an adequate vanity and plenty of storage.

This is a long term hotel for business travelers. Its located in West Des Moines where there are plenty of places to visit. The rooms could be painted with some updated color. The color has the go college dorm look of the 90s. The elevator painting and holes in the wall near the button to go up and down makes it somewhat leary. We may think we might get shocked. The rooms are quiet and beds are soft. The television was crooked but I enjoyed my stay. The location just needs some update on paint and televisions.

Overall the stay was nice. Loved the large space for our room and that our 2 queen beds were in separate rooms. Beds were soft and one of our headboards was completely broken. After the shower ran the bathroom smelled smoky. I would say it was a good value for what we got. Would recommend newer tvs, new mattresses and a magic eraser to get some of the marks off the walls. Overall the space was clean.

Mostly renovated and mostly clean. Ceilings still need to be done though and bathroom needs a fan because everything gets soaking wet from the humidity with a shower. Also mattress on the bed and the hide-a-bed should be replaced. Otherwise comfortable. Staff reminded me to turn in the ice maker if we wanted ice which was nice of him :)

I had a reservation on this hotel on September throughout Hotels.com for 1 night. When I got there with my daughter ( we were traveling from Colorado to New Hampshire) the guy at the front desk said the computer was down and that he couldn’t let us stay. I said : listen already paid , just give a key, but he said NO, he couldn’t . So I had to find another hotel in the middle of night. When I asked for my refund with Hotels.com they denied. They said they do not remember the incident. They kept my money. Even the costumer service from hotels.com couldn’t believe it. nice job. You are a great manager. I have a suggestion: call an exterminator, when we were seating in your front desk sofa trying frantic to find another hotel for the night we saw cockroaches walking at the front lobby floor.

This place is nothing elegant but very comfortable and a good value. Nice woman at front desk gave us an early check-in, which was helpful. Great to have a full kitchen, though we could have used a few more glasses. Place could use a little basic maintenance but overall we were happy.

This trip was suppose to be a fun get away and boy it was complete opposite, but the staff that were there and helped me were simply amazing. My car broke down, had to find a tow then find a ride to take me the rest of the way, didn’t make it there until I think after midnight, then I only had cash needed it on card so they let me stay and pay after I loaded a card the next day. Then because of the unplanned troubles I was short money and they gave me time to get some sent, and that flopped so I ended up leaving the reservation earlier than planned, but these people were amazing and made a bad situation better by their friendliness, and caring about their guest. They truly made my trip better and I am so grateful for all they did for me. I have stayed a few times in the past when I came to town, always had a great stay. And I hope after this last trip I am still welcomed back, because I always have an amazing stay at their place. Highly recommended!!! Thank you all again for making it a better trip than what it could have been.

We thought this was a great hotel - bathtub looked newly renovated. Great water pressure, storage around sink and nice deep sink. Refrigerator even has an ice maker! Enough real plates, cups, glasses and utensils for 2 people and a dishwasher (with detergent) for easy cleanup! Stove and microwave too and pots available. Room was very quiet and comfortable with 2 chairs plus a desk chair. Bed and pillows were all very comfortable too

This place is certainly not new and not fancy. But what it lacks in "shininess" it makes up for in the quality of the beds, pillows and blankets. I have stayed at much fancier hotels with terrible pillows and blankets as thick as toilet paper. This was some of the best sleep I've ever had! The AC/heating unit came on and off without waking us. We could barely hear any other guests. No one was running through the halls. And the space! My daughter and I stayed here for a basketball tourney. She had her own room. We had a kitchen to make sandwiches and breakfast in. Again, you might walk into this shabby, out-dated lobby and think "oh no, what is this going to be like?" But it was a lovely stay!
