The elevators were out and the staff was not accommodating about it at all. Had a lot of guests staying for a wedding and a few were older and were not able to climb 6 flights of stairs to their rooms and ended up sleeping in the lobby on chairs. I asked for extra linens (pillow and blanket) and was rudely told they did not have a key to the linens. The thermostat in our suite didn’t work so it was very cold all night long.

Hotel was unique and clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. No pool or breakfast (free) provided but we made it work. The room was great! Spacious and comfortable with a rain head shower. Very close to the zoo.

This was our second time staying at the Moonrise. It's a great location, particularly if you're seeing a show at the Pageant or Delmar Hall. The hotel is hip and friendly, with a great rooftop bar. The only thing that wasn't great was the parking situation when we arrived. 1. You pretty much have to valet park and the parking attendants are really hit and miss when it comes to professionalism and helpfulness. That's a problem because it's a bit of madhouse if you check in on the weekend. 2. There's an EV charger (and we drive an EV), but it was broken.

The room had a nice set up. Very clean. It had a rain showere head, which I don't like, but I know some love them. The shower pressure was good. It had car charging for EV vehicles but the vallet guy said it had been broken for over a year. EV cars are more and more popular, hotels should have them available. The vallet guy did tell us about free parking that was at the hotel. The rooftop bar looked nice but was full and there wasn't enough seating.

Super fun hotel with a lot of walkable places for food, fun, and grocery. We had the pleasure of meeting Elisa at the restaurant who was wonderful. Free parking in the back of the hotel or valet services for a cost. The rooftop bar was also a great atmosphere and you can see the arch. Everyone was super kind that we came across. Andre at the front desk was extremely helpful as well. Will definitely recommend this hotel and go again if we have the pleasure of going to St. Louis again.

This place was not clean at all I had to buy my own cleaning supplies to clean the room. The headboard lamps and frames were full of dust. I also broke out red dots all over my legs. I hope it wasn’t bedbugs. I won’t stay in this place ever again. The staff was friendly but not clean at all.

I was really surprised at the cleanliness of the rooms. The aesthetic of the hotel is really cool and why I booked it, plus the really good reviews made me feel like the 200$ splurge on our roadtrip was worth it. But upon going into our room I could see food and hair on the floor, the couch had suspicious white stains on it, the fridge still had someone else’s food in it and the toilet was not cleaned… I’m talking fecal matter in the bowl. We don’t usually make a fuss but this was just nasty and the room was not cheap so my husband went and notified the front desk. She was nice about it though and no questions asked gave us a new room. The next room we got was better but it still wasn’t the level of clean you’d be hoping for. The showers in both of the rooms were not very clean and the floor was black from dirt and grime over time. The toilet in the new room stopped being able to flush which is not fun. I really wanted to love this place and I don’t like being negative and leaving bad reviews but for a place that’s on the expensive side I don’t think that is acceptable. The cheaper budget hotels we stayed at were clean. The pros were the space aesthetic and the area was really cute. I wish we had some more time to explore the area some more. And the front desk staff was nice.

Our room was not very clean. There was hair In the shower, stains on the sheets, and was not wiped down very good. The hotel was quiet and the staff friendly. Free parking for guest.

Conveniently located close to Washu. Parking is behind hotel and looked sketchy. Room was not clean. Bed sheets had not been changed and mini fridge was very dirty. Room had a very strong urine smell. We got in very late and there were few options to remedy room cleanliness. But staff was very nice and welcoming.

Extremely poor experience. After traveling for 7 hrs we were looking forward to rest in our room. Unfortunately, we had to change rooms 3 times due to extremely unhygienic bedding filled with blood stains and body fluids on all rooms. Pillows were yellow without protective covers, sheets were not clean, bathrooms were not clean. I asked for fresh linens but there was no one to help from the cleaning crew at that time of the night. No top sheets on 2 of the rooms. Staff at the front desk was apologetic and mentioned it was not the first time they had complaints. The front desk lady was very nice and gave me “new” pillows from the back and put covers on them at the desk after the third time. I was told I would hear from the manager but have not heard yet.

The Moonrise is a nice enough hotel to stay at with some unique features, such as the man made moon replica and the light up staircase. Other than that, though, it is pretty average. It is also geared more toward adults than families so if you have young kids, bear that in mind. Beds were fine, although one mattress in our Executive Queen is about due for replacement judging by the dips, and the room was large, nicely furnished, and cleaned when we arrived. The internet went out for almost a full 24 hours with no explanation and that means no tv in this hotel since they don't use an antenna. Not a huge deal but I like background noise while I get ready for the day, and as I drift off to sleep. All the staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful, and the location means I will likely stay here again when I visit family - but I will look for a better room rate than I got this time if possible.

Overall good stay. The noise from both inside guests and outside of hotel was a bit much. Had some issues with the toilet running and slow sink draining. Staff were all friendly. Lost use of elevators for about 10 hours due to a car accident, so that was unfortunate being on the 5th floor, but no fault of hotel. Rooftop bar is a popular hangout for locals it seems.

The room we had was a little worn and had kind of a “smell”. They said they had a “galaxy” of wine and beer choices but it was actually very limited. We asked for an upgrade but were denied and told the hotel was “full” (it clearly wasn’t). Just not quite the same Moonrise I remember from 10 years ago.

lovely hotel, but accessing my expedia account told me I was double booked and 4 people at the desk couldnt cancel one. dispute is ongoing without their help. the mattress and pillows are too soft and full..luxurious feeling, but very hard to sleep on. felt like I was being swallowed.

This property is so funky & fun. First of all, as a Bravo girlie I couldn’t help but notice and love that Andy Cohen’s star is right outside the property haha! But onto things that matter… the property is very clean, well maintained, and the vibes are unique and cool. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The bed was super comfortable and the TV options were aplenty. The shower did kind of suck. There are a lot of restaurants nearby/within walking distance to choose from, in addition to the dining options on site. There’s a cool rooftop bar and restaurant, as well as a more upscale restaurant on the first floor. We didn’t dine in but the options looked good. Overall I’m super happy with this stay and will likely book again.

From check in to check out the stay was wonderful. I even forgot some personal belongs and explained what happened and the front desk was very helpful and friendly handling the situation. I will be back. Hotel was clean and the decor was very vibrant.

Antoinette was present when we checked in (after standing for almost 5 minutes at the front desk with no one there). One of the most unhelpful, rude and rushed check-ins I’ve had. No explanation of anything to include how to get to elevators, rooftop bar, breakfast, anything. She was short when I inquired on parking as my husband had been sitting in the car outside. No valet ever came, we ended up self parking after I asked twice during the check in process. She gave me the keys and turned around again. Not a great start to the stay. When we got into the room the toilet was running constantly. (My husband fixed it after some time). I probably wouldn’t pick to stay here again as there are other options in the area.

The service was terrible. Stayed there after a concert and the front desk employee was more interested in talking on their phone. I called the front desk for extra pillows and a room service menu and was told laundry was gone for the day so I couldn’t get extra pillows and if there wasn’t a menu in my room to look it up online myself. For a $300 room this was terrible service. I’ll think twice before staying here again

I wanted to love this hotel. The location was great. The service initially was good as well. After the first night, we asked for housekeeping to make up the room in the morning. After returning from a full day, I pulled the sheets down to get into bed and found what could only be fecal matter on the sheets. Not sure how housekeeping could have changed the bedding and not seen this. Not sure if it was animal or human. I am sure it was disgusting and I did not sleep well as a result of being completely grossed out. We went to the front desk and there was no one available to change the bedding. We were provided with clean sheets and made the bed ourselves. As it was late and there was nothing else that could be done. The hotel did nothing for us as a result of this disgusting incident. We weren’t even provided an email copy of our invoice as promised

The hotel itself is great. But omg it shouldn’t take 10 minutes to check each guest in, especially with only one person working the front desk. After waiting 20 minutes to get to the front of the line to simply check in, the front desk couldn’t find my Expedia reservation. I had to wait for it to show up. No idea how that works. I was not checked in until 1.5 hours after I arrived!! Expedia needs to have a talk with this place.

The hotel was very nice and the staff was excellent on check-in and informative for the area. The review goes down because of the parking lot and break-in on my car. While this was not the fault of Moonrise it is their responsibility to ensure safe premises. I believe multiple vehicles were broken into so this is definitely an issue for management to correct. I had a 5 hour drive home with no drivers window- definitely ruining a good weekend getaway with my wife.

The hotel is walking distance to the Metrolink Train. We hopped on and rode to the Arch, Union Station, and everywhere we wanted to go. We didn't drive our car at all for the 2 days we were there.

I would 100% stay at the Moonrise Hotel again. The Delmar Loop was a great place to explore as a tourist in St. Louis. I loved the theme of this hotel, every nook and cranny was decorated with something cute. The room was clean and had everything we needed. Parking was easier than expected in the public lot behind the hotel and the metro stop was less than 10 minutes away on foot. I only wish I had had more time to enjoy the upstairs bar area.

This is our go-to when we have a show at The Pageant since it's literally next door. It's always clean, comfortable, and not stupidly expensive. Popped down to the Eclipse Restaurant in the hotel before the concert last night and had a tasty cocktail and out-of-this-world smoked gouda mac & cheese with grilled chicken - and I don't really care for chicken! Just book it, it's a great place.

Nice hotel but the website is horribly incorrect and misleading. The menus are outdated and it says that there is an all seasons rooftop bar/restaurant, which we were informed upon arrival that there is not. We chose this hotel because of its convenience to an event but also the menu and rooftop bar, so it was quite a disappointment. The restaurant service was awful on top of it all.

Great hotel, friendly staff. Bummed that it was advertised as having a happy every day from 4pm-6pm, but there was no happy hour offered any of the days I stayed. I was also told there were no parking meters on the weekend but received a parking ticket about 20 mins after parking. So they were incorrect when stating meters were free on weekends. The hotel, staff, and location were great.

A hidden gem! The hotel and room decor is moon themed. It is so well done. The staff is very helpful. We stopped at the roof bar and decided to eat dinner there too. It is a simple menu, but the food is excellent. The view was absolutely beautiful, and we were able to watch a beautiful sunset. Our room also had a great view, comfy bed, coffee maker and even a white noise machine.
