Just AMAZING! Right in the village, the hotel is magnificent and the host very helpful and friendly. Parking is on the other side of the hotel and the réceptionniste made sure we knew where to go and even propose to come with us. The beds are amazingly comfortable and the rooms top clean. We had to leave early in the morning and they made sure to prepare coffee before we left. We highly recommend!

The hosts and the breakfast were good . It isn't easy to find or the parking unless the host is guiding you but I would be happy to stop there again. There are lots of restaurants in the village, we had an excellent dinner at Gran Duque reserved via WhatsApp

Old World Charm! We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay at Posada La Casa del Organista. This stately and historic building was originally built to house the monks of the church, and was later purchased by the church's organist; hence the name. We stayed in Room 6 on the 1st floor and it's the one prominently featured in photos as it has a cozy glassed in balcony with great views. The location is perfect right in the heart of beautiful Santillana del Mar and is located right on the Camino de Santiago route where we would see dozens of pilgrims walk past us each day. We enjoyed talking with the on-site owner. The posada has a car park located behind the property. If I'm fortunate to make it back to Santillana del Mar I wouldn't stay anywhere else.

Ein wunderbarer Ort inmitten des mittelalterlichen Städtchens. Man fühlte sich herzlich aufgenommen und sehr gut versorgt mit ausgezeichnetem Zimmer, wunderbarem Frühstück auf der Terrasse mit Blick auf Hügel und Pferdekoppel, freundlicher Auskunft, unaufdringlicher Betreuung und Tipps. Wir bereuen sehr, nur drei Nächte dort gehabt zu haben und nicht Spanisch sprechen zu können, aber auch ohne spanische Sprachkenntnisse kam man mit Englisch, Französisch oder Deutsch sehr gut weiter, alles wird dort gesprochen. Wir würden dieses wunderschöne kleine Hotel jederzeit wieder aufsuchen. Der Hotelparkplatz ist zwar ausreichend groß und sicher, jedoch etwas tricky zu erreichen über den Marktplatz bei Steinstraßen und engen Kurven. Aber es ist zu schaffen mit etwas Mut, besser mit einem kleineren Auto. Danke für die schöne Zeit!!!

A fabulous overnight stop before the ferry. Beautifully restored historic building, with its own off street guest parking area behind the property. Very close to the village centre. Extremely friendly, multilingual host, Rafa, made us feel very welcome.Our top floor room had a lovely brand new bathroom, and a balcony with fantastic views over Santillana.Would highly recommend a stop here.

Wonderfully family run business! The attention to detail for all of the services was noteworthy and the friendly and thoughtful help from the owners/manager made me feel safe and welcome. Posada La Casa del Organista is a gem within a beautiful town. I would like to add that it was simply spotless -by far the cleanest place I have stayed.

Die Posada ist ein wundervolles Haus und wird privat und sehr herzlich geführt. Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen und persönlich auf das Zimmer gebracht. Die Zimmer sind modern und fantastisch ausgestattet in diesem historischen Gebäude und es hat an nichts gefehlt. Es gab auch ein ganz hervorragendes Frühstück mit frisch gepresstem Orangensaft und sehr gutem Kaffee. Dies alles für einen günstigen Preis. Wir können einen Aufenthalt in der Posada La Casa del Organista nur wärmstens empfehlen und wir würden jederzeit dort wieder buchen. Vielen Dank für den herzlichen Service.

Der Besitzer ist sehr freundlich, spricht Englisch und Deutsch. Das ist in Nord-Spanien nicht selbstverständlich.Wir konnten uns das Zimmer aussuchen. Mit Badewanne oder Dusche, mit Balkon usw. Es gibt optional ein tolles Frühstück mit frisch gepressten Orangensaft, regionaler Wurst und Käse, Müsli, regionaler Kuchen und vieles mehr. Ein wunderschönes und liebevoll restauriertes Haus. Mit modernem Bad. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und das mittelalterliche Flair vom Haus als auch von ganz Santillana de Mar sehr genossen.

We enjoyed two nights here. The traditional building is beautiful and the level of cleanliness and the presentation of the property where first class. Staff were all friendly. This was our second stay at Posada La Casa del Organista and we look forward to returning in the future.

La estancia perfecta, el hotel está en un entorno incomparable, cerca de todo y con campo y caballos al lado. Llegamos por la tarde y nos subieron el equipaje, todos muy amables. Está todo reformado, las habitaciones nuevas y cómodas, el baño moderno. La única pega es que cuando fui había ola de calor y sí que faltaba un aire o ventilador

A large, beautifully restored, homely old farmhouse in a fabulous location with well equipped and comfortable rooms. Our welcome was superb and breakfast copious and tasty. Our host was friendly and took time to help us and tell us about the history of the house and the tasteful renovation of the building. It was an absolute pleasure staying there.

Wir wurden vom Inhaber der Posada La Casa del Organista sehr freundlich empfangen. Uns wurden 2 Zimmer zur Auswahl angeboten. Wir haben uns dann für das Zimmer 3 entschlossen, das zwar nur ein kleines Fenster hatte, dies aber mit einer tollen Aussicht auf das Kloster entschädigte. Die Betten waren sehr bequem und das Bad war voll umfänglich ausgestattet. Das Frühstück war hervorragend mit frisch gepressten Orangensaft, frischen Weißbrot, das auf Wunsch, mit Butter bestrichen, getoastet, serviert wurde und viel frischen Obst. In einer kleinen Bar konnte man den Abend mit guten Rotwein ausklingen lassen. Wir können die Unterkunft uneingeschränkt empfehlen.

Posada La Casa del Organista is a gem within a beautiful town. I would like to add that it was simply spotless -by far the cleanest place I have stayed.

This hotel is quite well located in historic Santillana and close to many restaurants. It was the former home of the organist and is beautifully restored. The care, attention and hospitality provided by Raffa was outstanding and made this one of my favorite stays on the camino. It was well worth staying an extra night to take a leisurely visit to the Caves.

The hotel is beautiful and so well preserved. It is a great example of 1700’s architecture of the area. The breakfast buffet was wonderful. It included some of the region’s typical foods, which were very nice to have. Our host Rafa was wonderful. Very helpful and friendly. Provided very useful directions and information on things to do in the area.

Todo ha sido estupendo, pero Rafa es punto y aparte. La atención y la implicacion en que no te falte de nada, no se ve en otros sitios. El desayuno tan estupendo que te ofrece. Una maravilla.

Old World Charm! We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay at Posada La Casa del Organista. This stately and historic building was originally built to house the monks of the church, and was later purchased by the church's organist; hence the name. We stayed in Room 6 on the 1st floor and it's the one prominently featured in photos as it has a cozy glassed in balcony with great views. The location is perfect right in the heart of beautiful Santillana del Mar and is located right on the Camino de Santiago route where we would see dozens of pilgrims walk past us each day. We enjoyed talking with the on-site owner. The posada has a car park located behind the property. If I'm fortunate to make it back to Santillana del Mar I wouldn't stay anywhere else.

La estancia perfecta, el hotel está en un entorno incomparable, cerca de todo y con campo y caballos al lado. Llegamos por la tarde y nos subieron el equipaje, todos muy amables. Está todo reformado, las habitaciones nuevas y cómodas, el baño moderno. La única pega es que cuando fui había ola de calor y sí que faltaba un aire o ventilador

Ein wunderbarer Ort inmitten des mittelalterlichen Städtchens. Man fühlte sich herzlich aufgenommen und sehr gut versorgt mit ausgezeichnetem Zimmer, wunderbarem Frühstück auf der Terrasse mit Blick auf Hügel und Pferdekoppel, freundlicher Auskunft, unaufdringlicher Betreuung und Tipps. Wir bereuen sehr, nur drei Nächte dort gehabt zu haben und nicht Spanisch sprechen zu können, aber auch ohne spanische Sprachkenntnisse kam man mit Englisch, Französisch oder Deutsch sehr gut weiter, alles wird dort gesprochen. Wir würden dieses wunderschöne kleine Hotel jederzeit wieder aufsuchen. Der Hotelparkplatz ist zwar ausreichend groß und sicher, jedoch etwas tricky zu erreichen über den Marktplatz bei Steinstraßen und engen Kurven. Aber es ist zu schaffen mit etwas Mut, besser mit einem kleineren Auto. Danke für die schöne Zeit!!!

A fabulous overnight stop before the ferry. Beautifully restored historic building, with its own off street guest parking area behind the property. Very close to the village centre. Extremely friendly, multilingual host, Rafa, made us feel very welcome.Our top floor room had a lovely brand new bathroom, and a balcony with fantastic views over Santillana.Would highly recommend a stop here.

This was an outstanding property. Fromcheck-in to check-out it was perfect. The setting quiet and beautiful. The staff so freindly you felt like family. They served a wonderful breakfast buffet. My only regret was we didn’t stay longer.

Der Besitzer ist sehr freundlich, spricht Englisch und Deutsch. Das ist in Nord-Spanien nicht selbstverständlich.Wir konnten uns das Zimmer aussuchen. Mit Badewanne oder Dusche, mit Balkon usw. Es gibt optional ein tolles Frühstück mit frisch gepressten Orangensaft, regionaler Wurst und Käse, Müsli, regionaler Kuchen und vieles mehr. Ein wunderschönes und liebevoll restauriertes Haus. Mit modernem Bad. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und das mittelalterliche Flair vom Haus als auch von ganz Santillana de Mar sehr genossen.

Wir wurden vom Inhaber der Posada La Casa del Organista sehr freundlich empfangen. Uns wurden 2 Zimmer zur Auswahl angeboten. Wir haben uns dann für das Zimmer 3 entschlossen, das zwar nur ein kleines Fenster hatte, dies aber mit einer tollen Aussicht auf das Kloster entschädigte. Die Betten waren sehr bequem und das Bad war voll umfänglich ausgestattet. Das Frühstück war hervorragend mit frisch gepressten Orangensaft, frischen Weißbrot, das auf Wunsch, mit Butter bestrichen, getoastet, serviert wurde und viel frischen Obst. In einer kleinen Bar konnte man den Abend mit guten Rotwein ausklingen lassen. Wir können die Unterkunft uneingeschränkt empfehlen.
