A wonderful stay in a comfortable large studio. Deck had views over vineyards. Quiet location as our room was along Gillards Rd of the property. Basic and filling breakfast included, the muesli was delicious. Pod coffee machine available too. Pool was welcomed on a summer’s day. Close to great vineyards. Restaurant on site didn’t offer any takeaway/room service but did offer to make a takeaway burger for $34. So funny! Plenty of other great quality and affordable restaurants in the area. Didn’t appreciate being phoned at 2:25pm on day of check in giving us the hurry up to arrive though. Check in is from 2pm to 5pm.

We had a great night’s sleep. Our room was clean and quiet with a balcony with view of the vineyard and a great comfortable bed. We swam and relaxed by the pool then had a wonderful meal at the restaurant. Just a few steps from our room! Just what we were looking for.

The location was amazing, with some fantastic views and close to local attractions and vineyards! Due to an error with the Expedia booking information reaching the hotel we did receive an upgrade for free. The room itself was great, the outside and some some features needed some attention. Fresh coat of paint, securing the fly screen ect. Pool was quite small. The aircon in the room was only in the front room and not the main bedroom, that has a ceiling fan. Although not associated with the hotel the restaurant onsite is a must visit.

Our appartment had been recently refurbished and it was wonderful including electric fire place in lounge room and also inverter air conditioners in both lounge and bedroom. Views of vines from our patio were beautiful. All in all just a great place to stay in Pokolbin and would stay there again if in Pokolbin without looking at other properties. Also guest laundry was very helpful.

The property was as described, well spaced out lounge and dining area with two bathrooms, we stayed in the premier lodge suite which has a walk in robe and big bathroom off the bedroom which is situated upstairs. Also has a spa which fits two people upstairs off the bedroom deck, happy with the stay

This place was just what we wanted for our two days in Hunter Valley. Our room was perfect for two and the breakfast supplied was A1. We sat out on our covered patio, swam in the pool. We highly recommend.

Stayed at the Hermitage Lodge with 2 Adults and 2 Children. The stay was very pleasant and peaceful. Perfect for a recharge. Parking available right outside the unit and the continental breakfast was fair. Overall, a great stay and would come back again when I return to Hunter Valley. Do try the Italian restaurant onsite too, the food there was delicious.

Really enjoyed my stay, I stayed on my own and felt safe. The only downsides were 1- the cleanliness in the bathroom on the windowsill and cobwebs on the door and 2- the aircon heating wouldn’t turn off when the ‘off’ button pressed. From a country that doesn’t really use it! So it could have been me, but I asked my Aussie friends and they couldn’t understand it not turning off either…. Had a very hot night as that kept pumping out heat… if those two could be sorted, or someone was around to have been able to ask at night (not an emergency so didn’t call their number!), I’d definitely stay again. It’s great having a winery opposite too! Lovely friendly reception staff and comfortable pillows and bedding.

Stayed in a Lodge Room, it was very lovely. Newly renovated too. Only downside was that there was an extra window in my room (not shown in the pictures) that didn’t have blockout curtains, it had Venetian blinds which let in soooooo much light. The staff fixed the issue by taping a blanket over the window. Staff were super friendly and helpful.

Great location. Clean and comfortable room. Would stay there again. The only downside was sharing the patio with neighbours. There was no outdoor privacy screen between our villas so could see and hear them sitting there on the outdoor furniture in the morning working, coughing etc. would be even worse if you had inconsiderate neighbours who might stay out there late into the evening.

We stayed in a premium apartment. Nice modern apartment but just no charm. No extras in the kitchen to really make it a useable cooking space. No lamps in the lounge and the deck wasn’t usable in the rain as the cover overhead wasn’t weatherproof. Comfy, but overpriced without the attention to detail and extras that should have been there given the price.

We spent 4 nights at Hermitage lodge in the Hunter valley. We had a duplex lodge with a full kitchen, living room, separate upstairs bedroom and bathroom, and balconies on both levels. Everything was immaculate. The location was perfect for visiting the vineyards and town of Cessnock. The lodge looked out over a small vineyard with a forested backdrop. I would definitely recommend Hermitage lodge as a place to stay in the Hunter valley.

Excellent stay, we had room 10 which was suitable for 3 people. The chap at reception was so helpful, we had booked for 3 adults but he gave us an accessible room which we needed. Gave us lots of tips, which were great, definitely go to Vinden for the wine tasting. Our room was spacious and had a lovely view over the vines. Thanks for a great stay.

Check in was easy and pleasant. The one thing I really wanted was for the King size bed to be split into two singles. I confirmed with reception two days prior and was told it would be done and it wasn't done. It was lucky that it was my daughter that I was sharing the bed with. Otherwise the bed was comfortable and all was very clean and comfortable.

The room was comfortable however a little dated. It did need some maintenance. Basically had to drive to anything as the road was dangerous to walk on.

This was our second time staying here and we'll definitely be back! Such a lovely hotel in a great location - close to the main village and gardens, and lots of nice wineries and restaurants also just a quick drive away.

A wonderful away-from-it-all location within striking distance from Sydney. Love the deck overlooking the vines and the room was very comfortable. Only regret is that the separately managed onsite restaurant was closed, but a more that adequate nearby alternative was easily found. Will be back.

We had a great night’s sleep. Our room was clean and quiet with a balcony with view of the vineyard and a great comfortable bed. We swam and relaxed by the pool then had a wonderful meal at the restaurant. Just a few steps from our room! Just what we were looking for.

Wonderful spot, great breakfast. Winery across the road for wine tasting. Restaurant on site was closed on Tuesday so walked to a nearby spot, had to watch for traffic but lovely country walk. (In the daylight).

Stayed at the Hermitage Lodge with 2 Adults and 2 Children. The stay was very pleasant and peaceful. Perfect for a recharge. Parking available right outside the unit and the continental breakfast was fair. Overall, a great stay and would come back again when I return to Hunter Valley. Do try the Italian restaurant onsite too, the food there was delicious.

The property was great but a little weathered. The restaurant was fantastic we had both lunch and dinner. The restaurant is run separately from lodge different owners. Breakfast not a available on site.

Lovely place to stay in the middle of the Hunter. Convenient to everything. Staff were lovely. We went for dinner at Pescara - not part of the hotel but right next to reception and fabulous. Great weekend and we will book again.
