Alpine Resort Motel

The room was big and has a good view. It was clean and daily housekeeping was done even though we only stayed for 2 nights. There was ski hire shop across the road and a restaurant/brewery on the other side which is very good and a very quick drive to main shopping area. The cooker in the room doesn’t work though - not that I would use it for a short stay. And since I have a little one - the little play area is a plus but needed upkeep. Al in all we had a good stay.

Clean and comfortable room, convenient location, friendly and helpful staff, convenient parking, reasonable and affordable price. I just finished my my five-nights stay there, I like it and would like to cone back again, thank you!

The good - it was warm, close to the natio park exit, it's across the road from The Shed hire joint, was reasonably priced and car park close to room. The bad - the walls are paper thin, weekend nights it's super loud due to the Brewery next door, if your neighbour decides to watch the only channel that works on the TV (ABC) you can hear EVERY WORD of what they're watching. I booked a room for 3 persons in a 5 bedroom family room for a week which had a small table with only 2 chairs with cutlery for 4 people. Provided was a kettle, toaster, a fridge (where the small freezer section was frosted over and couldn't keep ice cream frozen) and a microwave. I brought an Air Fryer to be able to cook my family dinner - which caused a visit by an angry staff member (the only time I saw anyone from the hotel) telling me no cooking was allowed after the 'cleaners' spotted my AirFryer when they gave us clean towels (once, and no clean sheets or bins being emptied). Then on the final weekend when we had the smoke alarm going off several times at night and at morning as other families were cooking and more angry staff telling them off. The wifi was useless, I even tried connecting super early in the morning with no success - may as well not offer any. The laundy is coins only (they do tell you) so if you wish to chance your luck make sure you bring coins. The 'onsite' restaurant is chinese hotpot, with no options for my fussy nugget/pasta only kids. Save your $ stay elsewhere.

The property is incorrectly rated as 5 star, would rate at 3 in its present condition. Missing hairdryer, dirty windows and hard to open. Missing bedside table. Mouldy shower curtain. The property had no access to reception, bar or dining areas. All closed up for summer? Rooms badly need renovations.

Right opposite Lake Jindabyne, Brewery & ski hire. Also easy access by car or on foot, to Dine in various local restaurants, clubs, pubs. Other shops like W'Worths, Chemist, etc only 1 min drive by car with easy free Parking. Room was very large, clean & had all the required necessities. Sufficient tea. coffee, towels, soap, tissues supplied for our stay. Easy access to drive to Thredbo, Perisher etc & other direction to Cooma, Canberra etc. Only negative is that it needs painting of doors & walls

Avoid at All Costs – Worst Experience Ever! Absolutely rude and dismissive staff. The way they handled basic concerns was laughable and downright unprofessional. The air conditioning unit bizarrely blows cold air for the first 20 minutes, even when set to heating mode — not what you want in a snowy mountain town. When I raised this, I was told I must have “confused the aircon.” Excuse me? Let’s break it down: • Hair dryer? Broken. • Water supply to the bathtub? Restricted • Wi-Fi? Drops every few minutes – totally unreliable. • Cleanliness? Found cobwebs in the bathroom – disgusting. • Accessibility? No elevators, so get ready to haul heavy bags up flights of stairs. For what they charge, the experience is unacceptable. You’re better off spending a little more elsewhere to actually enjoy your trip. This place will leave you frustrated from the moment you check in. TIP: Pay extra and stay somewhere that doesn’t ruin your holiday. I will never return — and I suggest you don’t either.

The hyginess of the room needs to draw attention. There is mould everywhere in the bathroom. This is actually the worst motel we ever stayed during our snow seasons since July.

The room is good with fantastic views of the lake. The bathroom was second rate with dirty toilet and mould and dirt around the bath. Had to buy some mould killer and spray bath. Had to clean toilet with the toilet brush and use dishwashing detergent supplied.

No WiFi on the ground floor,

Good price however you would expect to able to watch TV, Friday on arrival no TV stations just pixleation, Saturday Channel 10 only. Need to upgrade to SMART TV's

The room was quiet, tidy and spacious with a lovely view and effective heater. Beds were very comfortable. Staff were helpful and reasonably prompt when assistance was needed. Although instructions were to wash your dishes, no detergent was supplied. The large bed appeared not to have had sheets changed as one side of the pillowcase smelt like sweat and there were a few head hairs between the sheets. Ignoring that, we were very comfortable.

Lack of human reception and faceless check in was not a good start. Room was ok except for thin internal walls, weak wifi, limited TV channels and fridge freezer not working.

Good value, great service

Unfortunately, we heard the management yelling at some guests over the balcony, who may have been doing the wrong thing, which was poor management in our opinion.

Told us we couldn't cancel our trip - were told we could re book instead and then refused to co-operate at all. Staff were rude on the phone

The room was no where close to the description and the pictures provided online. Paid $705 dollars for just one night. It was not even worth $150. When asked the motel management about it, they were very rude and mentioned to take the money back and go somewhere else to find the accommodation when we checked in the room. Terrible place for anyone to stay here, zero customer service. If you want to be treated disrespectfully then this is the place to go to. Looks like a room from 1920s.

The property is in poor condition, smells and staff are absent. Expensive for what is on offer. The owners did not respond to direct feedback. Apparent that care for guest satisfaction is nil. Very disappointing experience.

Great option for jindabyne area, easy walk to the bus to get to the snow. Motel was clean, warm, beds comfortable.

Second time I've stayed at this motel and definitely won't be my last. Easy check in, good location and good condition for a motel. Definitely recommend.

It is very quiet close to everything
