Ice machine broken, received a less than tolerable room. Moved to a nicer room with dirty floors. Nice pool area. Staff was ok. Dirty towels.

This place is a dump! The pool was closed, the ice machine was not working and there was yellow tape blocking off parking spots. Also, the room did not have a working ceiling light fixture. When told the front desk, he gave me a key to room next door…same thing, light fixture HANGING from ceiling.

Property is conveniently located. Somewhat limited parking though if you get back late.

The good: Hot water, A/C, free parking. The bad: Everything else. Dirty room, broken TV, pool out of order, ice machine out of order, no soap or shampoo, Undrinkable coffee in office (the sign saying only one person allowed at one time should have been a giveaway.

They stay was nice. Rooms are clean. Outside area is nice around the pool. The pool is very clear and clean. Environment is safe and friendly. Day time check in staff are very incompetent and need help from the next shift everyday when I would extend my stay. The morning staff acted like it was an inconvience when they didn’t set the upstairs key and we kept coming back because we could not enter our. She was very rude. Night shift staff is amazing and helpful. The ladies at night are very friendly and know how to properly handle motel business. Excellent customer service skills on night shift only. Overall the stay was pleasurable and very comfortable.

The staff and manager go above and beyond to accommodate any requests you have if it's in their power to do it they will grant it they are courteous they are professional and it's a very safe environment I recommended highly the pool is fantastic

Ice machine broke, soda machine empty and turned off, office wouldn't even give change for machine before we found out machine was empty and turned off, even tho office directed us to the soda machine, laundry room was locked closed and out of order, not even ice bucket in room, no mirror in bathroom, none of the wall outlets worked except for the outlet that the TV was plugged into, holes in walls, no water pressure, even the outside rain drains duct were spraying water out the sides of them, staff at office was rude and cold and ignored anything we asked, room floor was so sticky we had to keep our shoes on!!! Didn't feel safe for my wife due to the other residents they let stay there and the employees, lights didn't work, only bathroom light and closet light, bed sheets and blankets smelled awfull

Good location. Seems like they were updating the property. Pool looked well maintained

The price was the lowest in the area, and the maids were friendly, but the condition of the room was one of the worst I've ever stayed in. The bathroom door had been punched through, there were mysterious stains all throughout the room - on the walls, all the furniture and the shower and toilet were not cleaned. There was no comforter but there was a blanket covered in all kinds of stains. The drapery covering the window was shredded. They say you get what you pay for, but if you're staying here you will not get what you pay for; besides you're going to pay extra for the penicillin so just go ahead and spend a bit more to stay in a better place.

You get what you pay for I guess. “Non smoking room” smelled like cigarettes. Not enough pillows, bed felt sticky, room was musty. Didn’t even end up staying the night. Booked another hotel after seeing and smelling the room.

Towels were dirty and had holes in them. Bathtub had a cockroach in it when I entered the room. Room smelled like smoke even though it was non-smoking. Cannot recommend staying here.

Let me start by what was okay. The front desk staff was super friendly. The bed was comfortable for the most part. Now let me give an honest review. I say that because I booked this place based on the photos online and the reviews. * roaches everywhere in the room. Bought raid at Walmart. * there were stains and possibly food on the walls and drapes * the floor was slippery, sticky and filthy. * cigarette burns in the blanket (not any kind of comforter) * mildew/mold on the shower curtain * tile and grout in bathroom were covered in SOMETHING * ceiling had a giant water stain * the AC is so high in the room that we had to climb on the table to use it * every time we left the room, we had to get our keys reactivated We booked this knowing it was a budget motel…but for $250 for 3 nights…absolutely 0/10 recommend.

I stayed at this property last year and while it wasn’t the best, it was doable for the cheaper price. This year, however, it was as if the hotel’s has just been deteriorating and no one really seems to care. There were bugs (the morning I left, I killed 5), the room was visibly dirty, only 2 lights actually worked (neither of which were in the bathroom), outlets were broken away from walls, there was broken glass throughout the property, etc.

This hotel was nasty the air was not cold saw Roaches crawling as soon as we opened the door Would not take our luggage in because of them. My husband was to tired to look for anything else

Upon entering the room, there was a tv mount and remote, but no tv. Electrical outlets hanging out of the wall. The only light in the entire room was the bathroom light. Toilet handle was broken and the tub was dirty. Black stuff all on the ceiling. No bathroom mirror, but could see that there was one at one time. On the wall of the hotel on a side street, there was a huge carve out that read "bedbugs".it was so disgusting in the room that my wife and I were terrified to even touch anything. We have stayed in some sketchy, nasty hotels and motels before, but none even compare to the budget inn. Unfortunately, it was so bad that we cancelled our trip and went home. went and checked out and was not offered a refund or anything. I was so angry that i didnt even think to take pictures of everything.

The place is rundown but the worst part is that it's infested with roaches. They were in every part of the room including the bathroom

Disgusting place would never pay to stay here again. Shower was so disgusting I couldn’t even shower without sandals on without cutting my feet on the floor. Towels we stained crusty and disgusting, felt dirtier after I showered and used that. Door barely locked shut. Wouldn’t even give it one star if there was an option for less

Checked in several hours after 3 and the room was not cleaned when we entered it. We had to go to the front desk and they called someone to clean the room. Even after cleaning, the floors made our feet black on the bottom. Bathroom handle was barely on and door had severe water damage. Toilet barely flushed. Holes in all the walls and curtains. Saw several roaches. This place is extremely run down. Also had a cleaning lady open our door while we were still in bed the very next morning to tell us we had to leave because it was check out time while we had a reservation for several days.

Was pleasantly surprised and would definitely stay again! Only complaint is I thought my room came with a fridge and it didn’t but was only there one night. Felt safe and room was clean and updated rooms.

I didnt like the AC turning off randomly. Sometimes it got very hot and it wouldnt stay on

I had a giant roach in my room. Air conditioner was in an awkward position did not work properly.

Cigarette holes in curtains and blankets. Fire detectors missing (just wires), single Light bulbs in all fixtures, remote control did not work, bathroom sink faucet was not actually attached to the sink, bathtub drained really really slow leaving you standing in ankle deep water if showering, towels were stained, toilet seat was not secured to the toilet, lamp shade was not secured and fell off everything you had to turn the lamp on or off, you could see daylight through the door cracks. Strobe light effect from holes in the curtains. The staff was incredible incredible nice, but the property condition is the worst I have ever seen.

The building was old and in the process of being renovated. I was put in a room that was in the middle of renovations and never should have been there. The next day, the mgr/owner called and refunded me the cost of the night's stay for the confusion. I was put in a finished room for the rest of my stay, the WiFi was spotty, but the TV worked, and based on the location and room price, you get what you pay for!! The staff I dealt with were very accomodating as much as they could be.

It's a depressing looking motel. The TV didn't work in my room and the wifi was very weak. No place in the bathroom to hang a towl

Property is affordable and convenient on the main drag as well as a commercial district. Mornings were noisy and place was dated.

Air conditioning worked great. Bathroom was nice. No microwave or fridge as advertised on website, little furniture, no remote for the TV. Lots of construction. Noise from main road was constant. Has potential to be a nice place.

What I liked: 1) The location-plenty of nice fast food and a few local restaurants and a Walmart within a short walking distance and most importantly for me a close and easy trip to Tropicana Field where I attend six baseball games during my seven-day stay 2) small fridge and a microwave and bathroom and tv which worked reasonably well. AC was also functional and performed its function. What I didn't like: 1) a tv remote with no battery cover and batteries held together by scotch tape-I complained about it but since it worked I didn't press them on replacing it. The remote did not have an cc on it or program/station guide which can probably be blamed on Spectrum along with other small and confusing issues with accessing different stations. 2) No telephone in the night table to access front desk if needed. 3) No radio or clock on the night table which most motels do have no matter how much they charge. 4) A minor matter but no photos, paintings or anything on the walls whatsoever-the room decor sort of reminded me of what one would see in a prison cell. 5) The entry key to my room needed to be charged every single day as the charge runs out very quickly and needs to be charged. extra 6) I was there for a week and asked for a little extra grace time as checkout time is 11:00 AM and my plane didn't leave until after 6:00 PM This was refused without paying at least $50. I call that cheap!! That's it!!

Very noisy throughout the night. Not well maintained. Toilet paper holder was broken, no mirror and A/C unit which was up high on the wall so had to use a chair to turn on, was not on for our arrival.

I wasn't aware of a $50 cash only deposit required at check in. I had to walk a block away for an ATM. Also, the air conditioner in the room didn't work, and I had to fight to get a room with air conditioning. Also, I had a $100 hold on my credit card prior to check in. I assumed that was a temporary hold. Then, the charge was processed and, I am currently disputing the extra $100 charge to my account. I agreed to $129 but not $229. Never going back.

When I checked in and was given my room, I had to go back and change it because the fire alarm battery was dying, so it kept chirping. Then when I checked out at 5:30am, I was told that I had to come back at 8 because that’s when they open the safe. It’s cash deposit only, too. This is completely unreasonable

They should rename the place "Convict Inn." It was clear as day several employees live there. I was placed right next door to a couple (housekeeper & maintenance guy) who fought like cats and dogs every night. Felt like punishment tbh. Lots of open rooms not right next door to employees. I picked this place for the location. Big mistake. I arrived early, lady at the front desk ran outside like she was on fire to tell me I had 2 hours to kill before I was allowed to check in bc "one housekeeper was out sick and they had 30 checkouts that morning.." She made me sit by the pool with all of my stuff until 2:50. Problem is, they purposely open the curtains when rooms are clean, and I noticed SEVERAL clean rooms during my wait. I was finally allowed to check in, I lug my stuff upstairs to a dirty room. (...And it was my birthday). I go downstairs, rightfully frustrated, & front desk lady yells at me in front of others & acts like I'm bothering her bc I wanted a clean room. Keys have to be reactivated daily, no guests are allowed to visit (large threatening sign in office window), $50 deposit & they insist on cash. In 2025. Closest atm is not close. If I didn't know basic plumbing I wouldn't have been able to flush the toilet. Shower was a JOKE, ice cold after 30 seconds and 0 water pressure. I felt so uncomfortable being a woman alone there I rarely left my room. Locked gates everywhere. I felt like a prisoner. Spare your sanity & go ANYWHERE ELSE. NEVER AGAIN.

I will never return to this hotel ever again. The girl at the front desk demanded a $50 cash deposit for the room. I have always paid a deposit for a hotel, but it was always charged on my card. They said it had to be cash which is a little shady. The deposit was made and we headed to the room. The property was in disrepair, and the room was about the same. The plumbing was very poor so the toilet would barely flush. When we went to checkout this morning I was told that I couldn’t get my deposit back until 8:30. It was a little after 7:00, and I did not have the time to wait. The lady at the desk was extremely rude, and did not want to do anything to help us. I then left and went home without my money. The whole cash deposit thing is highly suspicious, and if it is required customers should be made aware of this before arriving. I would not recommend anyone ever stay there.

Staff was wonderful

I went to check in. I was a bit early. They told me I had to wait, which was no problem but the place was filthy. It was New Year’s Day. They said it would take time to clean the room. They asked me for a $50 cash deposit which I thought was bizarre all the time renting through Expedia we never put a cash deposit we decided not to stay and we left and then contacted Expedia , expedia contacted the hotel in the hotel is refusing to give us a refund.

I enjoyed the day staff, very nice and friendly folks. That said, it was very noisy and the security lacked.

There was nothing unique about the property. It was dirty, and very unsafe. There were strange men lurking around when we got there - which due to a airline delay it was approximately 12:45 a.m. . We pushed a old dresser up against the door - there was no extra lock. It looked as it was from 1960. There was very limited air conditioner. the beds were gross, so we slept on top of the covers. We checked out the next day and did not stay the next 2 nights and were told there was no refunds. I feel this was totally misleading pictures and probably will never trust a blind booking again unless it's a Marriott, Holiday Inn ect. I would not recommend ANYONE to stay there, we were 3 women that felt very unsaft!

Surprisingly quiet for busy St. Pete area. 34th Street has many shopping amenities within 1 mile of hotel, such as Walmart, Winn-Dixie, Publix, Crunch Gym, etc. Only qualm I have is cable news channels limited selection.

The staff were alright but for 100 a night it was small and poor internet as well as no snack area or breakfast. I will never stay here with the noise and the dirty area. Not been updated to usb plugs so for the cost it was horrible.

It smells the television do not work, complaining about it and said someone was coming. They never did and there was no breakfast..…

We were not happy. We reserved a two queen bed room and were first sent to a room with one king bed. Then sent to a room with two full beds and told that was the best they could do. There was an open used bar of soap on the bathroom floor. No closet or anywhere to open our luggage. No ice bucket or ice machine. No coffee even in the lobby. Would NOT recommend!!

This is a low end budget hotel. It gets it done. super aged, not the cleanest,ice machine doesn't work, there is very little if any assistance . its fine

Terrible terrible place. No room service. Every front desk employee gave a diff story and prices. They kept security deposit for storing my things for a few hours. Broken bed and they never replaced it in my 3 nights of hell.

No hangers/ no hot water/rough towels. Booked on line with Expedia was told includes breakfast. The hotel doesn't have a dining room. Not even coffee. Over all this place is awful.

The Budget Inn was really filthy and dirty. No breakfest or coffee. They don't give you any water. They hav no power in my room for 2 days. They never fixed the electrical problem. I was afraid of bed bugs. The people who rent is labors and it really smells. NEVER AGAIN!!!!
