This property far exceeded our expectations. The website was a bit busy and hard to get a true feel for what to expect, but boy did it deliver. We didn't realize when we checked in that we were speaking to one of the new owners. She was so helpful and gave us excellent customer service. Our Room was amazing. Very comfortable bed and spacious living and relaxing area. Huge bathroom with a jetted tub that we didn't find time to enjoy. Easy walking distance to town and right next door to a highly rated Microbrewery (didn't get to sample it, but was very busy). Only very slight negative is that breakfast didn't start until 8:30 AM. As a very early riser, I've usually had my breakfast by 7 to 7:30 and started my day. When we get back to Margaret River, this will be our first choice if we're lucky enough to get a room here.

Lovely big room, comfy bed and excellent bathroom with a big spa bath. Brewery next door and a short walk to the town centre. Good view from room into the forest. A little noise from the road but mostly a lovely peaceful place.

The place is very well located just at the edge of Margaret River township. There is a walking trail which follows Margaret River, at the back of the lodge. The breakfast was lovely offering local produces. Finally, the host was most helpful.

Heritage Trail Lodge was a great base for the Margaret River area, on the edge of town but walkable into the centre. The rooms are set in a really pleasant, green environment and the breakfast is a very enjoyable bonus. The room itself was very spacious and comfortable, nicely equipped with lovely wooden furnishings in a functional rather than luxurious way. Out the back we had a spacious patio area looking into woodland, albeit with a public trail passing by. We would definitely return and would like to stay longer.

We stayed here for a night on a quick visit to Margaret river. Room was large and comfortable with outdoor setting. Room is dated but spa tub is a nice bonus. Very easy to walk into town. Nice walk trails behind lodge but not well signposted. Continental buffet breakfast was good.

This is a lovely, conveniently located, and friendly hotel to stay, if you are in Margaret River or exploring the wider region. In-between the hotel lodges, and within the gardens, beautiful vegetation thrives. It is lovely to emerge from one's hotel room and step into a garden! The hotel is usefully located a short walk from the centre of Margaret River and next door to the Margaret River Brewhouse, where tasty beer, wine and food can be gleaned. Some nice shops, bars, cafes, restaurants can be found in town. We were warmly welcomed by Michelle, who provided ideas for nearby excursions, walking trails and so forth. Breakfast is very good. It is a buffet style continental breakfast, with great options for cereal, yogurt, local cheeses, cold meats, local fruits and preserves. A great start to a tourists' day of sight-seeing! :-) Rooms are large, clean, and comfortable, with a patio area for seating (looking out onto the bush, where you may spot a galah!). My only minor gripe is that the bathrooms would benefit from a little modernisation. I would stay here again and would highly recommend it!

The rooms were spacious and the decks backed onto the forest. Although a bit dated, they were very clean and tidy. The heat and ac worked perfectly and the room was quiet and peaceful. Ricky who was manning breakfast and the front desk was kind, informative and welcoming. I was a bit underwhelmed by the breakfast selection which lacked protein and was heavily focused on bread and yogurt, but there was fresh fruit every day and a fun coffee machine. There was a small fridge in each room and dishes, a kettle and utensils. Lacking was a microwave which would have been a great addition.

Very good value for the area with “continental” breakfast included and easy walking distance to a good range of restaurants. The room was spotless, good size and offered everything we needed. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Highly recommend.

The rooms which are suite size are spotless and very comfortable. The staff are like family, very attentive but in a way that is unobtrusive. We were here 2 years ago and it now has new owners. They are wonderful and have made a few modernisations our comfort

Great location in Margaret River. The property is on the highway so traffic noise is a problem Excellent breakfast! My room had a very dusty bathroom fan and a few cobwebs which were surprising. The old carpet really needs to be replaced with healthy tiles for easy cleaning…. Carpet is scary! Great selection of pillows which is appreciated and lovely quality sheets With a little effort this place could be 4*’s

The host very courteous You need to be a gymnastic to get in the shower in room seven. Lucky im not big . Room 9. Faces on to a car park and main road . It said breakfast included it did not stipulate its a continital breakfast. Which had which consisted of cereal toast and a bit of fruit

Room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. Loved how it felt secluded even though it was attached to other rooms. Short walk into MR although there is a Brewhouse right next door. Simple breakfast was nice and staff offered great ideas for the day.

Very good value for the area with “continental” breakfast included and easy walking distance to a good range of restaurants. The room was spotless, good size and offered everything we needed. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Highly recommend.

The rooms which are suite size are spotless and very comfortable. The staff are like family, very attentive but in a way that is unobtrusive. We were here 2 years ago and it now has new owners. They are wonderful and have made a few modernisations our comfort

Beautifully appointed very close to Margaret River township. Excellent service from the owner and staff. Continental breakfast was very nice indeed. A lovely place to stay we enjoyed it very much.

The property itslef is very nice with greenery around front of the lodges. Rooms are wide and large. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Short walk to the town centre and nature walking trails are plenty.

Great property in easy walking distance of the centre with local restaurants & cafes. well equipt & the continental breakfast was excellent. Some road noise as we were at the front but it was not an issue. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Lovely big room, comfy bed and excellent bathroom with a big spa bath. Brewery next door and a short walk to the town centre. Good view from room into the forest. A little noise from the road but mostly a lovely peaceful place.

The place is very well located just at the edge of Margaret River township. There is a walking trail which follows Margaret River, at the back of the lodge. The breakfast was lovely offering local produces. Finally, the host was most helpful.

Heritage Trail Lodge was a great base for the Margaret River area, on the edge of town but walkable into the centre. The rooms are set in a really pleasant, green environment and the breakfast is a very enjoyable bonus. The room itself was very spacious and comfortable, nicely equipped with lovely wooden furnishings in a functional rather than luxurious way. Out the back we had a spacious patio area looking into woodland, albeit with a public trail passing by. We would definitely return and would like to stay longer.

Beautiful spacious rooms overlooking a Karri forest trail yet close enough to the centre of Margaret River to walk to the main shopping streets and restaurants. Great continental buffet breakfasts with local produce in a spacious light filled country style dining room, surrounded by lush gardens and furnished with wood from local trees. We are "local" Perth people and have returned again and again to this lovely venue.

This property far exceeded our expectations. The website was a bit busy and hard to get a true feel for what to expect, but boy did it deliver. We didn't realize when we checked in that we were speaking to one of the new owners. She was so helpful and gave us excellent customer service. Our Room was amazing. Very comfortable bed and spacious living and relaxing area. Huge bathroom with a jetted tub that we didn't find time to enjoy. Easy walking distance to town and right next door to a highly rated Microbrewery (didn't get to sample it, but was very busy). Only very slight negative is that breakfast didn't start until 8:30 AM. As a very early riser, I've usually had my breakfast by 7 to 7:30 and started my day. When we get back to Margaret River, this will be our first choice if we're lucky enough to get a room here.

The rooms were spacious and the decks backed onto the forest. Although a bit dated, they were very clean and tidy. The heat and ac worked perfectly and the room was quiet and peaceful. Ricky who was manning breakfast and the front desk was kind, informative and welcoming. I was a bit underwhelmed by the breakfast selection which lacked protein and was heavily focused on bread and yogurt, but there was fresh fruit every day and a fun coffee machine. There was a small fridge in each room and dishes, a kettle and utensils. Lacking was a microwave which would have been a great addition.

This is a lovely, conveniently located, and friendly hotel to stay, if you are in Margaret River or exploring the wider region. In-between the hotel lodges, and within the gardens, beautiful vegetation thrives. It is lovely to emerge from one's hotel room and step into a garden! The hotel is usefully located a short walk from the centre of Margaret River and next door to the Margaret River Brewhouse, where tasty beer, wine and food can be gleaned. Some nice shops, bars, cafes, restaurants can be found in town. We were warmly welcomed by Michelle, who provided ideas for nearby excursions, walking trails and so forth. Breakfast is very good. It is a buffet style continental breakfast, with great options for cereal, yogurt, local cheeses, cold meats, local fruits and preserves. A great start to a tourists' day of sight-seeing! :-) Rooms are large, clean, and comfortable, with a patio area for seating (looking out onto the bush, where you may spot a galah!). My only minor gripe is that the bathrooms would benefit from a little modernisation. I would stay here again and would highly recommend it!
