Try out the culinary variety in one of the many excellent restaurants in Obwalden or explore the city of Lucerne, which can be reached in 30 minutes. In summer, there are numerous hiking routes amidst idyllic countryside, as well as cycling and motorbike tours through Central Switzerland. Three ski areas (Mörlialp, Brünig-Hasliberg and Melchsee-Frutt) can be reached in 20 minutes, as can the marvellous Langis cross-country skiing area on Glaubenberg.
