This was by far my favorite location to stay. It was exactly as advertised and described. The room was so unique and amazing. We loved the mix of concrete/modern aesthetics with more traditional aspects. The observatory in the top of the silo was incredible. The scenery both at night and during the day was just unbelievable. In better months, you almost certainly will see the aurora on a clear night. The 360 degree views are worth the stay alone. I wish we could have spent every night here but we traveled the island too much. The only slight downfall was the very industrious farming neighbors who were caring for their machinery with bright lights on until after midnight or later. However, you can't fault them for needing to do their jobs and it was interesting to see day to day aspects of life there, anyway.

I was a little nervous with the lack of accommodations in Iceland during the 2026 eclipse but I came across Klettar Tower while searching for a place. The reviews were excellent but I’m always a little cautious when trusting someone else’s review. I shouldn’t have wasted my time worrying, Klettar Tower is amazing. The booking was easy and check in was smooth. The room was clean and had all necessary amenities. The bathroom was well thought out and a highlight of the room. The location was perfect for ventures to lagoons and Thingvellir National Park. There is no television but there is good service for streaming or you can use their WiFi. Truly a hidden gem.

Klettar Tower was nice because you got to spread out a bit compared to some other places in Iceland. Although we did not expect there to be multiple units in the tower, our unit still felt very private. It was very quiet and the bed was comfortable. We liked the bathroom as it was spacious and had plenty of room to shower. We were unfortunately too tired to go up to the observation deck, which we thought was our room from the pictures on the website. It was too cloudy to see the northern lights even had they been visible, so we just slept comfortably and slept in the next morning. I do like the generous check-out time of 11 AM. Overall, a great experience!

One of the most unique and awesome accommodations we have ever booked ! Clean, quiet, fun, different, comfortable etc. It’s an old concrete silo tastefully renovated into 4 separate apartments. Very cool, would absolutely stay here again.

This was the coolest place we stayed in during our entire trip. The room had everything we needed & had some very fun surprises built in as well. The wind was super strong during our stay but we still slept soundly. It’s about 30 minutes outside of Selfoss, but it is absolutely worth the stay. The northern lights viewing space at the top of the tower is incredible! It’s quiet, cozy & has seating all around. We met one other couple while we were there & they showed us some amazing photos they had managed to capture during their stay.
