Super 8 by Wyndham IAH West/Greenspoint

I purposely picked this location because there was supposed to have breakfast, a pool, and gym. The breakfast was only mini muffins and coffee. There wasn't a coffee machine in my suite or dinning table. The lady at the front desk acted like we could'nt have 2 towels when we had 4 people in the room. Then we were told the gym and pool were closed because of allergy season which make no sense. I had to ask the manager for an extra chair in order for myself and a friend to work and that seemed like a problem but the manager let us use 1from the buisness area. Other than that it was clean and quite. Hallway smelled like smoke a little bit.

I didn’t like that the pool was closed and there was no breakfast as it says. There was a roach on the bathroom floor for 3 days and urine all over the elevator floor. Do not recommend this property and will never return again!

Parking was good

Internet did not work, dirty sheets, cockroaches in the bathroom, staff that seemed anoyed when asked something, air conditioning did not work, elevator doesn't work, there is a pool but is locked and can't be used. Avoid the disappointment and look for something else at a low price for the night.

Im on the fence about my "rating" due to the fact that we were only there to sleep. Check in was interesting. After ringing the bell and waiting 10 minutes, a barefoot male came to help us. In the middle of helping us check in the phone rang and he immediately put a hault on our conversation. I literally waited another 10 minutes, after he hung up with the person, to check in. The room was somewhat clean. The key/card to the door took forever to work. Sheets and towels were nice. The bed was comfy. The bathrooms, fridge and floors need cleaned. Theyre dingy but "usable". The fridge still had someones leftover garbage and leaked inside so our things got wet. It was a bit noisy but were right by the freeway, and hotels arent normally quiet anyway. Especially when others slam doors. The gym isnt working. The ice maker, in the hall, on the 2nd floor is not working. The breakfast, they suggest they have, is stale muffins. No milk, juice, coffee, etc were available. No waffles or cereal. We obviously went out for breakfast. The pool looked clean but we didnt visit because of the environment around the hotel. The road on the side of the hotel was littered with old tires, old furniture, trash galore, and unfortunately homeless people. They werent a bother however. The elevator smelled of weed and hallways and our room smelled "old and musky." The cleaning staff speak very, very little english but im fluent in spanish so i was able to communicate. Overall ill give it 3 stars out of 5.

Easy check in, safe fenced in parking.

Room was alright, don’t expect much of a breakfast unless you like cereal or white bread. There was a toaster and microwave, but nothing to put on the bread (no butter, jelly, pb, cream cheese, etc). Also the fitness center is permanently closed. The ac was stuck at 70 my second night there, but I got in too late and was too tired to wait for them to do anything.

The good: bed was clean, AC was cold, shower area clean. The bad: There is no breakfast, it is just small muffins, that is NOT a breakfast that it is listed. Gym area was closed entire time and not available for use.

The elevator hasn't worked since we been here

The gym was out of order the swimming pool was out of order...

Roaches Roaches and more Roaches

The property smelled of urine, was difficult to get to and had poor room conditions. At the start we were charged an extra “hotel fee” which came with no explanation just that it had to be paid or we couldn’t stay. The room smelled of marihuana and was dim, the lights didn’t work, shower was dirty and the mattress had blood stains.

We have a wonderful time staying at this hotel. The room was spotless.

The property was good and the cleanliness was excellent. The staff was very nice and friendly.

I found bedbugs in my bed I woke up with bites all over my body. The stuff are friendly but location is dirty, smells weed and cigarettes in the hall to the rooms and breakfast is limited. Not a good stay at all

Didn't have high expectations considering the price point and all. General areas were nice and clean. We needed to use the sofa bed for oir baby, but when we opened it ot was full of mice feces; folded it right back.

I woke up at 3am really itchy. More than likely bed bugs. Horrible

Sheets were dirty and exhaust did not work. Found baby cockroach dead in the washroom. Otherwise staff was good. Quiet and amneties provided.

We only stayed for five hours and had we not arrived later with plans to leave hours later we would not have stayed. Place is run down. There was mold in the bathroom. The ac unit was so dirty we turned if off. Would suggest avoiding.

Less than a block from the hotel there is dumped furniture and trash. In my hotel room the wash clothes were stained and should have been removed from guest use. (This is why I bring my own black washcloth so that I don't stain the properties with make-up.) The floor under the carpet was very lumpy. The clerk was helpful, but at times she seemed put out by the fact that she had to assist me. Example: Check out she came around the corner and seemed put out by the fact that I needed assistance checking out, to refund the deposit she took. I asked for a receipt and was told "It will be emailed to you." I can say if I return to Houston I will not be staying here again.

Only thing was good they had ceiling fans. Couldn’t read the digits on the thermostat so I have no idea what the temp was set on. I will not be back to this location.

Extremely Disappointing Stay – Not Worth Even the Budget Price I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was unacceptable. The room lacked basic amenities—no utensils, no working bedside lights, and the TV didn’t function. When I approached the front desk for help, no one was there. I eventually found a staff member outside who promised to send someone with silverware, but after waiting 30 minutes, nothing arrived. The room phone didn’t work, so I called from my mobile, only to be told rudely to come get it myself. When I reminded him of his earlier promise, he snapped, “This is not a restaurant.” The staff’s attitude was shockingly rude and dismissive throughout. I understand this is a budget hotel, but basic hospitality and functioning amenities are not optional. This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had, and I will be escalating this to Hotels.com and the hotel’s management. I do not recommend staying here under any circumstances. LIghts are not working, phone is not working. Weird smell outside room and somewhat in room as well. It didn't allow me to give a half star.

It was ok but not perfect the tv didn’t work in our room we wanted to go swimming but the pool was closed and we had called before we mad the resavation and she said the pool was open and after we got there and checked in the room we went to the pool and it was closed.

My stay was okay it appear there was a patch work going on in the room; there was a hole in the door, curtains were ripped, title in bathroom was broke on the floor, and white marks where it looked like they filled in holes. They also wanted to hold a $40 in cash as a deposit.

The bathtub was clogged. The AC didn’t work and they didn’t wanted to change me to another room. Because I did the check in at 8:30pm and I complained at 12:30. The front desk person said I should have checked everything when I did the check in. Absurd.

Customer service was the worse that I've ever encountered.

This is the second time we have had an incident with one of the staff members. He had 3 people walk out.

Check in was not friendly and they charged a $50 deposit that was not mentioned when booking online. Fortunately, it was returned after checking out and they went to check the room. The breakfast was a joke. Didn't check out the pool. The room was good, roomy, clean, everything worked fine, good lighting, ac, ceiling fan, micro\\fridge, and a large, stiff bed with thin pillows. Didn't like the adjoining room door, but never heard another guest. Asked for a top floor room but got a ground floor room. Traffic noise was there, but could be drowned out by the ac. Good parking. Also a good location less than 10 minutes from the airport. Price was also good for our one night stay. Would return.

Not great. And very very difficult to contact them. I called corporate 5 times trying to get in touch with this location and even corporate could not reach them. I have emailed them twice and no response.I am so very upset and needed to contact them prior to arriving, and I left something there and need to get it back. Very disappointed with the ability to reach the location. Standard rooms, beds shower etc. etc. friendly staff when you are at the location but again, haven't been able to reach this location specifically ev en through corporate.

Side street, parking side street, street full of discarded furniture, tires, garbage. Appearance of gang area. Never will go there again. Requested staff to check juice machine, watery juice. Staff looked at me and walked away. Poor breakfast menus.

The bed was new and It makes a difference. Good location,

There was a cigarette burn on the chair. The blankets and towels were rough. I didn’t feel safe there.

Hotel was convenient to Houston International Airport and was in a well lit area.

It was okay for an over night stay. The only thing I didn’t like was that we were told that there would be breakfast until 10am we went down for breakfast at 8am there was no breakfast at all and the room wasn’t modernized at all. To charge you phone you needed the wall plug piece and it been a long time since I’ve had to do that. But for one night it was okay.

If you are looking for a comfortable place to stay STAY AWAY from this place. When you walk in the lobby you are created with a strong odour of cheap cleaning solutions. We were checked in and put into a smoking filled. I had specified a Non-smoking room. We were moved to another room. It smelled stale, unclean and it's on the bathroom floor was loose. We woke up the next morning a little late for breakfast. There was noone in the breakfast area so I asked if it was still open. I was told my the manager it's open, you have 5 min. There was only sugary cereal and white or brown toast. The only good thing is the rooms are spacious.

We use when our plane was delayed on the snow blizzard in Houston. Price vs expectation is matching but some service need to be treated. Very limited breakfast, no waffle, milk not replaced when finished after customer. Coffee not tasty at all. Rooms and building well equipped but gym was out of order. Just a bit more attention and might have a big potential of this property.
