Lovely hotel in great location, just across from University and within walking distance to everything Uppsala has to offer. Lovely deck out the back to enjoy an evening drink and lovely breakfast area with a superb breakfast with lots of very fresh options. Very friendly staff

All the things you want in a small hotel: Clean, sunny, friendly, and safe. The free washer and dryer plus sauna was a nice surprise. Great breakfast included.

This is a wonderful, cozy, small hotel. It's located within walking distance of everything, and very reasonably priced. The front desk staff were very kind and helpful. Our rooms were facing the front street (vs the more scenic back cathedral view), but it was still very quiet. Also, the 2nd and 3rd floors have a couple of small lounge areas, and a cute tiny outdoor balcony facing the cathedral, in addition to a larger rear patio area. Even though it's a smaller hotel, there is an elevator for those who need it, and even a small fitness room with sauna. Main reception area has a lounge with several toilets as well. We thought it was charming to see the staff picking wildflowers outside for the tables. The staff does leave at 10pm and return early in the morning for breakfast, but that wasn't an issue for us at all. Breakfast buffet had some vegan options which I greatly appreciated. While the common areas are air conditioned, there isn't air conditioning in the rooms, but a fan is provided, and we were comfortable, as the temperature was mild in mid June. I would definitely stay here again if I return to Uppsala.

Utterly lovely hotel in Uppsala in a beautiful location near the cathedral and parks, quiet yet only a short walk to the centre and the station. Staff were friendly and helpful, nice breakfast, great little bar and super comfy rooms. A very human place.

Rummet luktade rök, ett redan känt problem visade det sig när jag pratade med receptionisten. Frukosten var väldigt enkel, saknade de vanliga varma tillbehören och framförallt havreprodukter för oss som inte kan äta mjölk- och sojaprotein.

Vi tyckte mycket om det nyrenoverade och fräscha rummet och det fantastiska läget. Frukosten var enkel men god. Tyvärr tog det ner intrycket att vi inte fick rummet städat och handdukar bytta fastän vi satte ut skylten i god tid på morgonen. Jag kan förstå att man väljer ett system där man inte städar om inte gästen säger till, men då måste det ju verkligen funka när man gör det. Nu kom vi tillbaka till rummet på kvällen efter en lång dag ute till obäddat, smutsiga glas och handdukar i en hög på golvet i duschen. Inte alls roligt. Som tur var fanns ännu någon kvar i receptionen så vi kunde ordna handdukar. I övrigt tyckte vi alltså mycket om hotellet.

Overall, our stay at Akademi Hotellet was wonderful. The rooms are comfortable, the location is perfect, the breakfasts nice and the staff was awesome. The only downside is the tiny bathrooms. But then it is a very old building and the conversion into a hotel was what they could make of it. Overall, enjoyed our stay as it was close to many of the most interesting attractions in Uppsala.

Fint rustikt rum, bekväm säng, fräscht badrum, god frukost, bra läge och trevlig personal. Nöjd med allt med andra ord! Förutom: det var lyhört i vårt rum och man hörde hissen öppnas och stängas och hur det smällde i dörrarna, vilket påverkade sömnen negativt eftersom det fanns både gäster som var ute sent och andra som var uppe tidigt.

It was hard to communicate with the reception-staff before arriving. Our flight was delayed, and it was very stressfull and confusing being told on the phone, that the reception would be closed already at 8 pm, even though it said 10 pm online. When we arrived at 8.15, we found out that it was the frontdoor that was closed, and not the reception! So there had been no reason for the stressfulness. The hotel in itself; the rooms, the breakfast etc. is very charming and comfortable.

Waking around is absolutely gorgeous as if you are strolling through old tiny cobble stone streets. The hotel itself has gorgeous views to the cathedral which is so beautiful lo look in the day time and at night. Every morning hotel breakfast is served tight near the reception area in their cozy cafe. All the staff was very polite and more than helpful on many occasions. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is planning a visit to this beautiful historic town in Sweden.

Frokost under middels. Elendig eggerøre som det ofte er på hotell. Dårlig stekt bacon. Lite utvalg av brødsorter. Ellers tilstrekkelig med pålegg. Leide parkering i garasjekjeller - veldig bra siden det kan være vanskelig med parkering i området.

Had a great stay for a week long meeting being held at the old main academic building at the University of Uppsala. That's about a two minute walk from the hotel. My room was on the upper floor, clean and tidy, a bit small, but just slept there and not much else. Breakfast daily was excellent with fresh bread, and good coffee. Staff was super friendly.

Mycket fint hotell men lite för trångt i toa och duschutrymme. God frukost, men vi fick vänta länge på bröd och vissa pålägg som var slut Mycket fisk på frukostborden som inte togs bort. Kanske för lite personal? Annars gillade vi hotellet mycket

Jättefint hotell med ett fantastiskt läge nära Uppsala Domkyrka. Rummet kändes helt nyrenoverat. Sköna sängar, litet badrum men det hade det som behövdes. Enda minuset var frukosten. Den hade enkelt kunnat göras så mycket bättre om de satsat på en god granola istället för en torr havregrynsmüsli; serverat pre-baked croissanter; haft (frysta) blåbär till yoghurten; och sett till att kaffet höll sig varmt. Men bortsett från det var allt toppen och jag kommer hörna tillbaka.

This hotel is very close to the University and a short walk to the main shopping area. It’s about 1 kilometer from the central station. The rooms are Spartan, but clean. There are no facilities for making tea or coffee in the room. The wi-fi is secure. The breakfast is plentiful, but with no warm food. The staff are wonderful. The laundry and sauna are free.

Great hotel in a perfect location in the center of Uppsala. The room was clean and comfortable. We especially liked the historical aspect of the hotel…the names of famous people who stayed in each room. The staff was really helpful and the breakfast had many choices. Would definitely recommend.

The staff are very friendly and the location is excellent--right in the middle of the university, the cathedral, close to the central street and shopping. The breakfasts are lavish and included in the price. Great views and spots to have a coffee or read.

The staff were so helpful, friendly and accommodating. The garage was on site, easy to access and felt very secure. We liked that the social spaces and that different card and board games were available. There were also seating areas on each floor, even a small balcony we could access from the corridor. The only thing missing were USB portals in the rooms but we had our own plug in chargers so it didn't really affect us. The breakfast was very good and had lots of options, including for vegetarian and vegans. Loved the central location. Our room was quiet at night despite facing the street infront of it. No aircon but fans were provided. Excellent value for money!
