The park across the street is a bit sketchy, but other than that it was a very nice experience. Lovely pool, excellent staff, One elevator was broken which was a bit inconvenient. Restaurants are very good, lovely lobby, concierge is wonderful. Our first stay in San Antonio and we enjoyed it. Also, great restaurants nearby, and the River Walk is an easy stroll. all in all, very very nice.

Great stay in a beautiful, historic hotel! Staff was friendly and helpful. The rooftop pool and bar was amazing which the whole family enjoyed. The Haunt lounge had delicious cocktails and nice live entertainment. Only downside was that they did only have one working elevator and sometimes bit of a wait for the elevator to stop on your floor. Otherwise it was a good place to stay in San Antonio and accesible to Riverwalk and Alamo.

The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are really nice. Very happy with that part. The food was horrible. Of the four of us who all got different food items, none of us had a pleasant experience. I'd definitely suggest eating somewhere else. Also, while the hotel itself is beautiful, the elevators are horrific. They are old, shabby, dark, super scary. Of the three in the front lobby, two were broken. The third one sounded like it would be any minute. You could see it clanging and banging. That was pretty scary. It reminded me of an elevator the staff would use for domestic use. Next time, and I would stay there again, I'd get a room on the first floor and eat out. Otherwise, its a beautiful hotel. By the way, they charge you $69 a night to valet your car. The hotel does not have a parking lot.

The whole hotel water system shut down til after 5pm. Three main elevators out of service. That leaves one elevator for all hotel guests for our entire stay. The door frame in my room came off when we went to open the door

We stayed 2 nights with our 8 year old Grandson. Sea World trip. The stay was awesome. The 6 floor pool was awesome with the D.J. We all had a blast. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Overall a great property but the pool has major issues. One they allow outsiders day passes to the pool which is tiny to begin with. One was so drunk she smashed her head getting out of pool. Second, and more important, is they hire a DJ on weekends which was right under my room on 7th Floor. I usually work out early, have nice lunch and then take a nap before heading out at night. We also had our dog with us. My room might as well had the speakers in the room. My entire room was vibrating and this was a suite. We complained and they tried to make it right but they have spots at the pool where they could put the speakers and keep all guests happy. They need to really do a better job at managing the pool area. It should be fun but classy for this highly a rated hotel

Worst experience I’ve ever had! The outside of the hotel is filled with homeless people. I do have to say, the lobby smells and looks beautiful. The staff are professional and welcoming. When we arrived the lady at the front desk mentioned that their tv service was getting fixed. I know things happen so it didn’t affect us until we got to the floor our room was on. When we first got out, there was an awful smell. You can tell that the carpet hadn’t been cleaned. I did not see any mold, but it smelled humid and dirty. We paid for a suite, it was not cheap. Once we opened our room, it looked nothing like the pictures. The couch was dirty and had a pull out bed. The mattress had brown, reddish stains on it. The fridge that was brought up to us looked like it was picked up from the street. It had dents and scratches all over it. I used the restroom and noticed stains on the door, floor and the toilet had a pubic hair on it. It was absolutely disgusting. We went to the lobby and talked to the manager. We explained what happened and she was very professional and understanding. She offered us another room with a full refund. We declined so she offered to call other hotels to get us a room. Beware of this hotel! Not worth the price for the “luxury” hotel they claim to be.

The pool was overcrowded, littered with trash in and around the water, the water was murky, and there was a loud DJ playing. This is not hardly what you would expect for a luxury, historical, expensive hotel stay. The buildings main areas, hallways, and rooms smelled of sewer. The room remained very hot regardless of our attempt to continue lowering the thermostat. We found hair clips, baggies with chips and cookies, Nerf gun bullets, and copious amounts of dust between the mattress and frame where the sheets are tucked down as well as under the beds and furniture. Our couch and decorative pillows were stained. We were a bit stunned especially considering the advertisements and costs associated. Staff was extremely friendly and timely.

The state of the room seemed as if it had not been cleaned in many days. Lots of dust on side tables. The bathroom walls and floors, and the shower was heavily stained and looked as if it had not been cleaned properly ever. No hand soap, just a face wash bar soap. We had to ask for a key to the mini bar fridge and the fridge was warm when opened. Requested ice and we got a ziplock baggie of ice that was so dirty we could see the dirt as it melted. Ordered room service and half the food was stale. The bedding was just a duvet with two sheets, one above and one below it as the duvet cover, not an actual duvet cover. Tv was so old you basically can’t see anything even with all the lights in the room off. They played jazz in the hallways which is fine but the doors had no insulation around it and we could hear the jazz when trying to sleep. For a luxury hotel, it looked like the room had not been updated since the early 2000s. For the price I paid, this was a truly terrible experience. Thought I was getting a 4-star Marriott experience and got the worst motel experience ever. The best part of my stay was checking out.

The room was not ready when we arrived at 4pm we waitlisted about 30 min then we’re rushed to make our dinner reservation. When I got back I noticed the counters at the bar were sticky the coffee cups and bathroom water cups were dirty. There was urine on the floor in the restroom and the sheets on the bed were stained. This was reported to the front desk and was supposed to be fixed but it never was.

Meet all my needs, room was spacious for the two of us. Plenty of things walking distant to do. Restroom was awesome as well, the hallways felt a little creepy at night, but do you expect this hotel has been open since the 1900s. Overall great experience and fit my price range!

I've stayed on the property before and my previous experience motivated me to stay there again. The desk clerk that checked me in was not very friendly - as if he was mad I had questions about the property. I booked a junior suite, not cheap -- so I expected the room to be comfy & quiet. It was far from that. In the bedroom, I could hear the elevators dragging at all hours. It sounded as though an upstairs neighbor was dragging a couch back and forth across the floor. I arrived to check in very late on the first night so the noise was minimal -- I assume all guest were asleep and the elevators were not being used. I booked through Orbitz so I had to work with both the hotel and the booking service for any "fixes." Mario, a member of the hotel staff, was extremely helpful, friendly and professional as we attempted to work this issue together. I was refunded half the cost of the room for the first night. Because I identified the issue on the second night, they attempted to find me a new room for the last night. There was no partial refund provided for the second night, as I had requested through Orbitz -- I had to remain in the very loud, unpeaceful room. Very disappointing. When I was moved the next day, it was to the other side of the property (no noise thankfully), but into a smaller room. For the amount that I paid or that anyone pays to stay in this hotel, room 431 should not be available to any patron if the elevator is not fixed.

Overall the property was amazing! It was beautiful inside. Adrin at check in was wonderful! She gave us some great tips on places to eat and visit. The one issue we had was the parking garage next door was extremely loud. It was really obnoxious!

Wonderful hotel with so much character! Super comfy beds, great AC units, and room along with hotel was super clean. Only inconvenience was no ice machines (apparently to remain true to its era), but room service brings ice when needed. Conveniently located downtown and near lots of great restaurants and the Majestic Theater.

Had a King suite. Room was very nice, bed extremely comfortable. Blackout curtains work well. Coffee maker was a Keurig. Only "complaints" I have are there was no in-room microwave nor refrigerator. While the walk-in shower looks great, I rate it 6/10 for functionality. It's large, has a nice bench where you can sit if needed, but there is no convenient place to hang a towel, and the shower control is on the opposite wall so temp adjustments take a while to reach the shower head. Also, there is no shower door, so it can be a little cool at times. Valet parking is expensive, but there is a surface lot across the street that's much cheaper, and 2 city owned garages just a block away that are even cheaper.

Nice, historic property in a prime location. Very close to River Walk and other places. Parking is not cheap and parking in other lots requires about a block or two of walking. There is live music and good drinks served at night at two of the bars within the hotel.

Vintage hotel. No mini fridge in room. Guess one has to request beforehand. No ice machine on floor. Request from front desk and then half bag of ice delivered in a large ziplock. Again, vintage hotel, however, regal. Room was nice w luxury bedding. Internet & Wi-Fi failed after arriving 2hours later. One of the restaurants named Rebelle was good. Attended a dinner party there & decided to stay overnight vs driving back into town. Would I stay again? Probably not.

The staff from the valet, front desk, wait staff and even in room service could not have been more amazing. All so kind and greeted us like we were the only ones there. We had an issue with renting the cabana but the staff was quick to resolve it and when I shared my concerns with them they listened to every word, stayed course with eye contact and wrote down everything I said... Rare in this day and age. They were fully packed when we were there and besides the minor hiccup of tissue and tp refills every was as smooth as it comes. The restaurants are amazing too. The bar is SO beautiful and drink prices reasonable for a hotel at peak hours. We will definitely be back.

The staff were remarkable, attentive, and friendly. My drink preferences were remembered, requests handled expeditiously and in a professional manner. The accommodations were very comfortable and clean. I don’t often have business in San Antonio, but I will return to the St. Anthony when I do!

I had a phenomenal stay at the St. Anthony. After being booking at a different hotel that I did not feel comfortable at, the St.Anthony got me in INCREDIBLY last minute (like 2 am!) I received amazing service, friendly and very accommodating! I will recommend this hotel to everyone and if I’m ever back in San Antonio I know exactly where I’ll be staying

Arrived at 5.15pm, room not ready until 6.15pm, we were going out for dinner so no time to relax and have a shower. Following day we got back to hotel around 4.30pm and room wasn’t cleaned, had to phone reception and maid arrived at 5.30 and started then. Only one elevator working and waited 15 mins to go from floor to reception. Room and location was good but let down by poor service

The hotel is beautiful, they are very short staffed. Our room was not ready until 6pm, they didn’t clean our room until 5pm the next day, and we couldn’t have breakfast at the empty restaurant because there was no one to clean the tables. Staff is friendly and tries but everything is a mess and chaotic.

Housekeeping was awful. They never replaced the towels they just took them. I ran out of TP, asked twice so I had to go to the front desk. Sometimes the didn’t took the trash out. Other than that the staff was great. Bell boys were always helpful

Property was beautiful. The woman working the front desk were rude, the doorman and other male workers were sweet and helpful. Check in was a disaster, room wasn’t ready and we had to wait 2 hrs. Hotel staff didn’t bother to apologize nor compensate for the time waited.

We had a great stay at the St. Anthony. They were accommodating and had phenomenal customer service. Dean was fantastic! The valet were so attentive and retrieved your vehicle quickly. The park across the street was convenient if traveling with a dog. There are a lot of homeless individuals but we did not have issues.

The park across the street is a bit sketchy, but other than that it was a very nice experience. Lovely pool, excellent staff, One elevator was broken which was a bit inconvenient. Restaurants are very good, lovely lobby, concierge is wonderful. Our first stay in San Antonio and we enjoyed it. Also, great restaurants nearby, and the River Walk is an easy stroll. all in all, very very nice.

Staff were great, room and parking valet were awesome. Food: when ordering room service, should always bring a receipt for the guest. The food quality is not up to par based on cost. Possibly they need a New Chef. Thank you.

The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are really nice. Very happy with that part. The food was horrible. Of the four of us who all got different food items, none of us had a pleasant experience. I'd definitely suggest eating somewhere else. Also, while the hotel itself is beautiful, the elevators are horrific. They are old, shabby, dark, super scary. Of the three in the front lobby, two were broken. The third one sounded like it would be any minute. You could see it clanging and banging. That was pretty scary. It reminded me of an elevator the staff would use for domestic use. Next time, and I would stay there again, I'd get a room on the first floor and eat out. Otherwise, its a beautiful hotel. By the way, they charge you $69 a night to valet your car. The hotel does not have a parking lot.

The hotel lobby had an aroma that just elevated the ambience to another level. The hotel had the most beautiful furnishings and there was even a hallway area with art to enjoy. They had a jazz band in the hotel lobby on a Tuesday night and a beautiful onsite restaurant. Even though it rained during some of our stay, my husband, daughter, and I had fun at the pool! The only thing I didn't like was that there were a lot of homeless people hanging around and sleeping in the park across the street. However, it wouldn't deter me from staying at this hotel again.

Loved the hotel. However, what they don’t tell you when you make reservations is whether you self park or valet the charge is $59.00 a day. We moved our car the next morning and they still charged us for two days. Ridiculous! Their restaurant was fair due to how long it took them to get us our food

Classic luxury hotel from the 20’s. Note the marble, woodwork and solid brass throughout, as well as the overall atmosphere. Enjoyed the restaurant, mussels, scallops and crème brûlée. Well renovated with very nice bathroom layout. Easy walk to the Alamo and Riverwalk

My husband and I stayed here for our first wedding anniversary last week. Our room was beautiful. The staff was awesome and super helpful. They even sent us champagne and strawberries to our room! We had dinner at the Rebelle restaurant in the hotel and it was awesome. Also, we could easily walk to the river walk and other areas downtown.

Enjoy a full service hotel. The valet staff was helpful, as was maintenance when had a TV issue and they came quickly and fixed problem. Enjoyed the bar at the pool! Had room service sandwiches in room that were very good. The dinner at Brubella's was over priced for entrees that not that good for the cost. Breakfas better when we left hotel than in the Glass Restaurant. However, truly enjoyed the Hotel and our suite. Next time would eat out more.

I’ve been a bonvoy member for years and this was truly a disappointing experience. Then to top everything off the walls are paper thin so I barely even slept during my stay. Hopefully they will handle things differently because I had high hopes for this property.
