My hotel stay was good. Parking was easy with the garage that is right next door to the hotel. If you pay for parking at the hotel, you get in and out privileges. Breakfast was good with lots of hot and cold options. There is a $17.61 per day resort charge that I was unaware of at the time of booking. The hotel states it is on their website but not on third party sites like hotels.com.

I can't fully complain it was nice pretty comfortable for the most part. You have to pay for parking at the parking garage. Its cheaper going through the online version then the full hotel. Its $69/day at the front desk $64/day online. And you get the barcode on your phone insted of keeping up with the ticket.

Overall, the place is very good and the location is convenient to public transit to get anywhere you want in Chicago. The room was clean upon arrival, and a request for blankets for the pull out bed was brought to the room quickly. There was no daily cleaning service, but that was fine with me. A couple small issues were the feezer in the minifridge was full of ice and needed to be defrosted. The overhead light in the bathroom did not work, but the vanity light provided enough light for the room. The breakfast was pretty standard continental hotel buffet. Good enough to get the day started with some variety. There is a $18 per night fee added at the hotel, they told us it includes a goodie bag every day, but they only had the bags the first night of the three-night stay and still said they would charge the fee. It did not ever show up on my card, though, so, I guess that was resolved. One other note, there is a $5 per bag fee if you check bags before/after check-in/out. Not sure if this is the way the industry is going, but I've not been charged for bag check before.

This stay will make me stay away from La Quinta properties for the forseable future. They were sold out for the weekend, and not remotely prepared for it. They had two elevators, and one was down. We were there for four days, so plenty of time to fix it, and it was still not working when we left. They ran out of eggs more than one hour before breakfast was done and, when I brought it up to them, they said "breakfast was free", so basically we had to be happy with whatever we got

Felt safe and accessible parking option, while pricey for parking, it was great that it allowed in/out. Not enough fresh fruit options for breakfast; hot breakfast items were ok, but too dry. Rooms were clean but not deep cleaned. Upon arrival immediately needed maintenance to unclog the bathroom sink drain so questioned if housekeeping had run the faucet otherwise they would have noticed that. Corners with lots of dust. Staff was always friendly and very responsive.

The property was nice. However, the room was extremely dusty. The room was just ok. Not worth the price I paid at all. It was supposed to have a king bed and a couch. There was two of us, and there was no couch. It was like a conference room. It was for my teenage son and I which I preferred not to sleep next to him on a king bed, but did not want to say anything to the front desk due to them saying they were booked fully. I am not a complainer, however that was not right. That’s not the room I booked. Like I said, it was extremely dusty and the bathroom for I do not believe had been swept. Around the inside of the shower look to be a little bit of maybe black stuff may be possibly mold? The mirrors could’ve been washed properly. They were nothing but streaks.We were there only two nights, if I had an option I would not have booked at this location. Although staff was very friendly, I still would not have booked at this location. This would be the first and last time.

La Quinta did not do daily housekeeping in my room during my 3-day stay. Did not make the bed, empty trash, replace towels, or provide coffee for the second and third days. The complimentary breakfast was above average. The bed was comfortable. Bedding was of good quality. The room I was assigned had not been serviced, so I had to return to the front desk to request a different room!

Overall was well except when a person choses to have the AC on you would think it would manyain the temperature that was set. What I foujd was that the rooms are setup as movemnet sensing and if no momvent is sensed in i would say 30 mins it turns it off until you move like your leg or something. This only was a bothersome when trying to take a nap /sleep.

The staff was friendly and helpful during my stay. I was also able to check in early. The only interesting thing was the "fresh air vents" in the rooms. There is no way to turn them off or control the temperature of that particular vent. Our room was freezing, so to counteract that, we had to turn on the heat. So, we essentially had air coming from one side of the room and heat coming from the other side. Other than that everything else was fine.

Too expensive for what you get. 1. Mechanical noises throughout the night (strange door locking noise, fridge, radiator vents, etc) 2. Water in the shower did not get hot. I don't hot showers and even I felt cold in the shower. 3. Stopper on the bathroom door was broken 4. Temperature in the room was not easy to change 5. Temperature in the room was not maintained. It would be cold, then hot, then cold again. 6. Breakfast was normal continental. Not good. 7. Location is downtown. However, everything (coffee places, chipotle,etc) was closed on the weekends and restaurants were crazy expensive. Stay outside of the city center and you will have a better time in Chicago. I read the reviews and thought this would be a nice place. As someone that stays in hotels very often, this place is 3 out of 5 stars and I would not repeat. You can do better.

A generally comfortable stay. Large spacious room and bathroom. Both room and bathroom were clean. Easy walking distance to Union Station and local city transport. Shower had good hot water and water pressure. Bed was comfortable and room quiet, allowing a good sleep. Friendly reception. Good guest laundry - $3. Little shop and a noodle shop off reception. No room safe. No powerpoints next to bed and not in convenient locations. Poor wifi for tge duration of the stay was disappointing.

If you are staying on a Tuesday night and are unfortunate to have a room facing the alleyway bring ear plugs! Tuesday is bin collection night and the Dumpster Trucks will treat you to a dumpster symphony between 1 and 6 am! Of course, if you like the sound of the city - enjoy!!!!

The staff was not friendly at all. In the booking, it does not tell you that you would NOT have daily cleaning service. Supposedly they would do cleaning service on the fourth day, but they didn't even do it that day. The service was truly terrible. The people in the restaurant at breakfast WERE very friendly. In the deposit I left, they told me they would refund me in a week; I hope I won't have any problems with that.

Great location to get in and around Chicago as it's right in the loop. You are a 5 minute walk to either Union Station of the OTC. The nearest Loop El stop is one block away. Room very comfortable, shower was great. Everything here was clean. Breakfast was packed in the morning so I took one look and left. Plenty of places nearby to grab food. Would stay here again.

Great location for all the experiences we were doing. It was a very walkable location to many tourist destinations. The staff was friendly and helpful with everything during our stay. The complimentary breakfast was nice and easy way to save a few dollars in an expensive city. Family friendly and the attached parking garage was convenient verses street parking. I’ve had better breakfasts at your chain. No hard boiled eggs, the pancakes out of the automatic machine weren’t cooked, sausages were laying in water or something didn’t look appetizing. There was only white bread and bagels no raisin bread, English muffins, whole wheat bread.

The room given was spacious and the bed excellent for comfort. Not enough coat hangers. Breakfast was poor. No variety, juice running out and not replaced. On our first morning only one toaster working. Large queues resulted. No where to sit if crowded even coming early. No toast only baegles which do not toast easily. .

Hotel is convenient to the train station since we were in town for the Sox game. Property and Room clean. My daughter was setting up the couch bed but there were no sheets or blankets, only a pillow in the closet. She called and it took nearly an hour for someone to show up and she never did get a blanket. It was difficult since she didn't notice until 11 pm. She had to call twice since the first person didn't believe her and said they were in the closet for sure. Breakfast was fine.
