After staying at Fleur de Chine for 3 nights at Sun Moon Lake we had breakfast and lunch before taking the free hotel bus back. It is amazing that as we leave several staff waved and bowed to us as we left. We enjoyed our stay at Fleur de Chine. The breakfast and dinner buffets were delicious and we tried out some local flavors. I loved swimming in the pool, and we both enjoyed the mineral baths.

This is my third stay at this hotel, excellent as always. There are many so-called 5 star hotels, but this hotel truly deserves its 5 stars. The spa facility and children play areas are first-rate, and I have not seen another hotel more fun for the kids. The view is spectacular as always. The dinner buffet is first-class. The service is also great. The combination of the hot spring and the magnificent mountain-and-lake view in one building is world-class. As a native of Taiwan of five decades, I really think this is the best hotel experience in Taiwan.

All around the Hotel was absolutely amazing. The view of the lake from the lobby is stunning as you enter the hotel. The staff here treat their guest like royalty and would like to thank them for giving top notch service all-round the hotel. My wife and I found our room very clean, comfortable and the in-room onsen very relaxing. The hotel also has an amazing common area waterworld pool section and private gender specific onsens which I highly recommend taking advantage of during your stay. The breakfast buffet food was delicious with an abundant of options to satisfy anyone's food craving needs.

Exceptional property! Wow! We were traveling from Canada with two kids. Coming from the Mandarin Oriental in Taipei, I imagined that would be hard to beat. FDC was even better! The buffets are extensive with options for any taste including a kids ice cream bar. The indoor “waterworld” is a series of hot, medium and cold pools with funky bubble seats and even a water slide and tiny ball pit for kids (bring a bathing cap if you don’t want to purchase one). It’s great that pool is indoors because that area rains a lot. There is nightly singing entertainment, which my kids enjoyed. There is also a great indoor kids space with slide, ball pit, indoor rock wall (all free). The A/C in our room wasn’t working so they kindly moved us to another room which was Japanese style suite. The extra 3 sleeping mattresses lower to the floor were convenient for the kids. Overall I highly recommend FDC, their website does not do justice to the facilities and service experience.

This hotel was absolutely amazing! It is one of the most well staffed hotels I’ve ever stayed in. The staff are gracious and kind and beyond helpful. The buffet was absolutely amazing. This property is wonderful in every way imaginable. The property is in a great location with a bus stop right across the street that transports you around the Lake. In addition, the breakfast and dinner buffets are out of this world abundant with too many options to mention. I would recommend anyone who wants to visit Sun Moon Lake to stay. But how great Fleur de Chine Hotel is I want to say that Expedia customer service is complete garbage. I've been a customer for decades and each year I keep getting amazed at how much crappier their customer service can get. My reservation during booking said that they took a deposit at the time and I'm supposed to pay the balance at the hotel but when I arrived they said that they never received the deposit and that I needed to pay in full. The subsequent 40 minutes we tried to get in touch with Expedia customer service greatly angered both myself and the reception desk. We gave up and ended up doing my own detective work in going back through months of credit card statements to see if a deposit was taken. It turned out that it wasn't so the Hotel was correct but Expedia was wrong. I don't know why I'm surprised that this was the outcome considering that my sister recently booked an entire vacation through Expedia. However, due to some mixup, she wanted to reinstate a hotel which Expedia refused. Not sure I want to continue to use them

Was worried given Taiwan’s humidity, the hotel would smell moldy however my worries was unfound. Service is considerate, example, 1) they would call to check in reminder for dinner. 2) they would have someone in the elevator (guest floor) to minimize guest waiting time to expedite check out Only qualm is the repetitive items at buffet dinner, otherwise it is a comfortable and relaxing stay.

My husband and I stayed for 4 nights at the property. It’s secluded but a short (free) bus from the hotel to Ita Thao or you can participate in one of the many activities on site or facilitated by the property. For tourists it’s very easy to get to with a free shuttle from Taichung HSR station. The staff were extremely attentive to all of our needs - including a complicated food restriction. The facilities are amazing - we loved water world, the massage, view of sun moon lake from the room, and the FOOD was amazing. Every day we were surprised and delighted by a new experience provided by the hotel. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay - we will be back again!!

Buffet breakfast and dinner included in the booking was enjoyable! Many options and mostly tasted good. So many bread offered at breakfast which you can enjoy multiple times in a day up to 12PM!! Don't think I've come across any hotels doing this. You will want to allocate some time to enjoy the recreation activities at Level 1. The kids and adults will definitely enjoy!

We booked this hotel using hotel.com and as a silver member we did not receive the extra’s mentioned. There was also a mentioning of an outdoor pool but the hotel does not have an outdoor pool, so this is also very misleading. The fine dining restaurant Ken Chan supposedly has 3 Michelin stars but it has none, the food was bad and we left te restaurant very disappointing.
