It's definitely an older hotel and it shows, but the location was great and there are several dining options within walking distance. The only window in the room was difficult to open and could use some cleaning, especially around the edges. We only stayed one night so it worked out. Check in was fast/easy and they allow ESA pets. The pool was perfect and there is plenty of parking in the lot.

Cute apartment complex, great parking & security on-site. So many places to check out walking distance. Great place to stay if visiting family in the hospital just 6 minutes away. Will definitely be back to explore around the area. Staff was very helpful & welcoming. Rooms were clean, only issue was shower head was too low for us, but that didn’t effect our stay. Working refrigerator, microwave, and AC. Quiet at night. Pool is being renovated but wasn’t an issue for us since we were mostly in the hospital.

Pay attention to the additional fees: parking is listed on Expedia for $25/night/car. During the day it was plenty of spaces and they even let visitors coming for a short time to park without charge; but at night, when the hotel is booked, parking was a challenge, one night they had us park in the handicapped space. The "Resort Fee" of $17,99/person is not disclosed on Expedia (as of 06/2025). It only seems to appear on a sign when checking in and on the receipt received by email. Both fees are not paid when you book and pay for the room through Expedia. You have to pay these fees when checking in along with a $100 deposit. They should be more transparent or just add it to the room rate which is still relatively low for similar properties in the area. Overall, the property is nice, very conveniently located and the room is spacious and clean.

Our stay at The Dixie Hollywood (Feb 14-16) was a disaster. The room was filthy, the hotel was extremely noisy, and the toilet flush was broken. To make things worse, we even saw cockroaches in the room! We complained to the manager and requested compensation, but we never received a response. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else. This place is absolutely not worth the money!

The room was not very clean at all, someone else’s hair in the shower and hair on the bed, mold in the bathroom, ac was super dirty, not to mention the remote and table tops seemed like it had never been wiped down.The beds were literally rock hard! I liked the themed room doors and the parking had security which was nice.

There was broken glass in our room. We had to ask the front desk to sweep our room. I actually stepped on it and was relieved that it stuck flatly on the bottom of my foot because had it pierced through the bottom. I would probably had to require stitching. We looked and there were little shards of glass on the floor. Scary.

Stayed for 5 days. Spiders, roaches, bugs. Asked for a discount and received $10 off after complaining and showing pics for over 30 minutes. Housekeeping forgot to leave toilet paper. Floor didn’t appear to get mopped on the ONE day we did ask for room service.

Nice room but no isolation from the street outside There is supposed to be a guardian during the night but a party can go on after 2 am he won't intervene.We booked a room with a kitchen but no fork was included After complaining for 2 days in a row we were given plastic forks and spoons.To find good things to say I may add that a parking lot and a swimming pool are available. It is located in front of a great supermarket and next to a metro station, and a few minutes away from the walk of fame and the Hollywood signboard. If you want to visit the area and have no problem sleeping with noise around it is a good choice.

We chose this hotel based on the location in Thai town. Safe, walkable area day and night. The staff area amazing; friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is good, but not great. Some highlights were offstreet parking, night security guard, comfortable bed and a spacious room. Some downsides were no closet, no tub stopper, and very noisy at night with an unsealed door and window heater/cooler. Overall, I would recommend it for those who want a safe, perfectly-located accomodation.

A bit run down and old but fine for the money. A good location for Griffiths Observatory. Safe parking and helpful staff. Our room was cold and a bit damp and dark. The plastic pillow cases are definitely off putting. Access to hot and cold water good.

The hotel was what you'd expect for the price, the rooms were big and spacious and they had a fridge, a microwave and a TV however the blinds were all singular slats connected by one stick down the middle that closed and opened them all and 3 of those sticks were missing meaning a lot of fiddling about to close those singular slats to cut the light out. The room had a bit of a weird smell to it, like a mould smell and the shower didn't really work. The bit you pull out to turn the water from bath to shower was broken. Guy on reception was friendly and helpful, the pool area was nice and the sun hit it perfectly and the location was ok but Hollywood isn't known for being particularly nice, so again it's what you'd expect for the price. Plenty of car parking available

The only positive is the convenient location, close to downtown and the beach. However, the service was very disappointing. At check-in, staff refused to let me check in due to a minor name issue, and the interaction felt unfriendly and unhelpful. Thankfully, the booking company quickly resolved it. Parking was also a problem. Even after paying $37 per night for 3 nights, there were no spaces available, while non-paying cars were parked in the lot. This happened more than once, and other guests faced the same issue. Overall, while the location is good, the service and management need significant improvement.

My construction workers stayed there and they had a bad experience with the staff there. Also, we tried to cancel one of the rooms as one of the guys got injured at the jobsite and they wouldn't refund the money. They didn't considered anything and just went with a NO cancellation. Never again will we book this place.

Checked into this motel Thursday night with plans to stay again Sunday night. Room was ok at first, not fanciest, seemed clean. Super uncomfortable though. Husband and I couldn't sleep, super noisy above us and the bed was awful! Asked the front desk a question the next morning and she was beyond rude and unhelpful, combined with the amount of pain we experienced from the bed, canceled our future reservation with them.

The location was good very strategic,however, can feel unsafe due to the large amount of homeless around the area. Unfortunately California specially Los Angeles and San Francisco are having issues regarding homelessness. The state needs to do better regarding this issue.

Central location in Thai Town, very convenient for all Asian food lovers, main gripe was dirty floors. We ended up scrubbing and cleaning the floors ourselves. Great water pressure in shower surprisingly given that there was a lot of gurgling in the pipes. Very friendly staff. I have stayed here twice now and will be back. Parking charge is $25 per day but is understandable given the area.
