Well maintained, friendly staff, convenient to Hwy and within walking distance to shopping district if that’s your thing. No elevator so if lugging bags up a flight a steps is a challenge, be sure to request a room on 1st floor. But a very enjoyable stay.

I thought the location was nice and there was free parking so that was a real plus. Liked that we were close to this cute little downtown area. The amenities were a little dated but it was a good price and it was very clean.

We chose the River House Inn because it had a Tesla charger. We were pleased to see that it had three! My only complaint is that we signed that we would return the plastic "keys". When we went to check out the office was locked and there was no where to leave the keys. We had to take them back to our room. A drop box would have been helpful.

Amazing. Views of the dunes, the river, the forest, skyline. Great room appointments, including water bottles, hot chocolate, biscotti, deeeep soaking whirlpool tub and extra towels. Bit of noise from the nearby bridge but otherwise a very tranquil getaway with great food a half block away. Car chargers in the lot for 3 at a time.

The River House Inn is a nice option if you’re staying in Florence. The rooms are nice and the location next to the historic area is great. Checkin / out: Checking in and out was quick, efficient, and easy! Parking: There’s ample parking just outside of the rooms. Cleanliness: The room was very clean, but it definitely had a musty smell. You get used to it after a while, but it wasn’t really pleasant. Bed: The bed, pillows, and blankets were all wonderful! We've stayed here several times but this was our last stay. The location is great, but this place is not. The units are run down, not cleaned well, the carpeting is dirty, the sink faucet was broken, holes in the wall in the shower, walls are so thin we heard our neighbors throughout the night, etc. Overall, not a relaxing or comfortable place to stay. They are not keeping the rooms clean or updated at all.

The room was not as nice as pictured in the advertising, it was more shabby chic. The views were gorgeous. I gave okay marks on the cleaning, because the room on surface level was clean. After settling in we noticed soda cans and plastic trash under the benches.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at River House Inn. Our goal was a few days of relaxation by the river and enjoying shops and restaurants at Old Town. River House Inn was perfect for this. We had a first floor river view room which is right on the river. River House is conveniently located on Bay Street with easy walking distance to Old Town. The only drawback was that the room didn't have good noise insulation. We could hear noise from neighboring rooms and the room above plus vehicular noise from the bridge nearby.

The room was fine and right on the river, which was very nice, although it was too cold to sit out on the deck. There is some noise from the bridge, but it didn’t bother me. They failed to stop the room with toiletries which was a little bit of a hassle. However, not having an iron and ironing board was a problem. I travel for work and depend on having them in the room.

The rooms were clean and the bed comfortable. Unfortunately the walls are paper thin and there is no carpet - you can hear every move every neighbor makes. Plus, the river view is spoiled by tire noise from the bridge.

Wow wow wow! I’m not someone who takes the time to review place but when I woke up, I told my partner I was going to leave a review. I should start by saying we got in late at night after sunset and left very early in the morning. If there was breakfast, we didn’t get a chance to try it. The front desk staff in the evening was incredibly friendly, warm, and greeted with a big smile. Was happy to give recommendations for dinner when I asked. She was wonderful. We were so tired, we watched a little TV in bed before quickly falling asleep. I dont sleep well when I’m away from home but this bed was 10/10 SP COMFORTABLE! And the pillows… I questioned if I could ask to buy one. I have never slept more comfortably in a hotel in my life and I travel fairly often. In the morning, I woke up to see just how beautiful our view was. You have to get a room with a balcony facing the water! I watched a couple of harbor seals (just feet away!) and the shore birds in the very short time I had before we had to pack up and go to continue on our road trip. I am so sad we were in a rush to leave because this place was amazing. Highly recommended.

The in-room amenities were lacking (only one small bar of soap, no hand towels for bathroom, no bath mat, no shampoo or conditioner or body wash). We checked in online and arrived at that time. The front desk person said that the website was an hour early so we had to wait. My husband went to use the restroom and when he came out the front desk person said his room was ready and gave him the key so we proceeded to the room. When we got there with our luggage the front desk person came barging in all frustrated and asking if we had touched anything. Then he scolded me by saying he told me it would be an hour (he had given the key to my husband in less than an hour). Our friends who were in the lobby saw all this commotion where he blamed my husband for taking another couple’s keys to their room instead of explaining to them that he had mistakenly given it to him. We ended up having to wait significantly later than the 1 hour like he told us. Our friends who ordered the same room and arrived after us were able to check in before us. The front desk person was so rude, unprofessional, and had childlike tantrums yelling at us. We and our friends will never stay there again.

The guy who checked me in was very friendly. My room was mostly clean and very comfortable. The location is perfect and easy to walk to shopping and food. The only issues were the very thin walls, I got woken up by a crying baby in the adjacent room, and a dirty ice bucket. Overall, a hreat stay and I would definitely come back.

The property was clean. Somewhat disappointed at the size of the room and no elevator to second floor. Check in took a lot of time (20 minutes) due to one clerk at desk and guests with no reservations checking in ahead of us. We were checked in promptly once others were done. Breakfast was as expected and the person in attendance did an excellent job of keeping food fresh.

Wow wow wow! I’m not someone who takes the time to review place but when I woke up, I told my partner I was going to leave a review. I should start by saying we got in late at night after sunset and left very early in the morning. If there was breakfast, we didn’t get a chance to try it. The front desk staff in the evening was incredibly friendly, warm, and greeted with a big smile. Was happy to give recommendations for dinner when I asked. She was wonderful. We were so tired, we watched a little TV in bed before quickly falling asleep. I dont sleep well when I’m away from home but this bed was 10/10 SP COMFORTABLE! And the pillows… I questioned if I could ask to buy one. I have never slept more comfortably in a hotel in my life and I travel fairly often. In the morning, I woke up to see just how beautiful our view was. You have to get a room with a balcony facing the water! I watched a couple of harbor seals (just feet away!) and the shore birds in the very short time I had before we had to pack up and go to continue on our road trip. I am so sad we were in a rush to leave because this place was amazing. Highly recommended.

The River House Inn is a nice option if you’re staying in Florence. The rooms are nice and the location next to the historic area is great. Checkin / out: Checking in and out was quick, efficient, and easy! Parking: There’s ample parking just outside of the rooms. Cleanliness: The room was very clean, but it definitely had a musty smell. You get used to it after a while, but it wasn’t really pleasant. Bed: The bed, pillows, and blankets were all wonderful! Nearby: Probably the best thing about the River House is it’s proximity to the charming old part of Florence. There are tons of shops, restaurants, a nice bakery, and so on. Wonderful!

They were so sweet the moment we got there. Told about laundry and breakfast. After checking out (within an hour), got a call that they found my necklace. I called back and they walked me through next step. Gave me name and number of shipping place they would drop it off at. Later that day got call from shipping place.

Love the location, walkable to restaurants, bars, shopping, and the view of the bay is awesome. Highly recommend the sand dune buggy rides across the bridge nearby. Prices have really jumped up higher. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

We stayed one night during our travel down the coast. The view of the water and bridge was nice, although there is traffic noise from the bridge. You are able to walk up the block and enjoy the oldest area and marina in Florence.

Clean hotel, noted to have been recently updated. Still had the smell of an old building. No AC. Room was very clean but dusty. No elevators made being up luggage tedious. Breakfast had minimal options. Fairly pricey for quality.

We loved the location! Steps from the historic Old Town full of great restaurants and shops! Breakfast had many options and a very helpful attendant. We were in a basic room (not water view) for one night, not updated, but it worked just great!

Great value for the money. Peaceful river view. We were there in May so it’s comfortably chilly. The best shower on our long road trip; great pressure and removable shower head. Skip the breakfast even though it’s included; it’s okay if you’re in a hurry. But, the Little Brown Hen Cafe is just a 5 minute walk; it’s awesome breakfast foods made with real ingredients from local farmers. The staff is amazing and welcoming. Overall, the cutest place to stay in Florence.

Location was great. Rooms were clean and free parking. The noise from the nearby bridge - every car/truck drives over a metal grate and it makes a loud rumbling noise. In order to cool the room temperature down we needed to keep the sliding door open but then we hear that loud roaring sound from every vehicle crossing the bridge and kept us up much of the night. My wife tried to use the workout room but that was a joke. The free breakfast was nice and the room was clean. Overall pretty good if you can get a room not near the bridge.
