Courtyard by Marriott St. Augustine I-95

Parking was easy, as the hotel was almost empty. We had a scare before checking in that the room we had booked (one bedroom suite) wouldn’t be appropriate for our family (2 adults, 2 kids) due to the area with the sofa bed not having blackout curtains. Then, turns out it did have them installed recently. Our kid (it was his birthday) wanted nothing but to swim in the hotel pool. We got changed, walked through the lobby and out to the pool, only to find the pool was shut down due to failing a health inspection. This information could’ve been relayed at check-in or even when we all walked through the hotel in bathing suits. But no, it wasn’t, and my kid was crying due to disappointment. There was no included breakfast (so weird for a courtyard) and the shower, no lie, took over five minutes to get hot water. As a result of not knowing this, several of us took cold showers (is anything worse?!). This was a huge miss for us. We will not return.

We had a service dog with us. No issues. Hotel recently updated. Very nice. One thing, the hot tub was down. Was looking forward to a soak.

The place is newly renovated so everything was in greay shape!. I paid like 30dlls breakfast for 2 and skeptical about breakfast being good, but was one of the best breakfast we had in the hotels.. I wanted to get a tub since picture had it but they didn't give me one... and the internet and signal was horrible in there i didnt have service even thought i have Verizon i couldn't receive calls and their internet was slow or got disconnected other than that the place is jnice
