Clearly this hotel was a favourite for Barcelona. Lots of locals try to get in so Security was tight. Always asking who are you. They offered access to the roof top lounge and dinning room. But never go there. Always book up. Could not get a table until 10 pm. Not for a family. Sunday night there was a big pool disco party and locals lined up. The main floor bars were packed. The location for swimming was good. The breakfast again was not up to a Marriott standard I am use too. Only self serve. Order fried eggs and never got them. On serve said the breakfast is covered but the tip is not? Most staff tried to accommodated but was it a 6 start, no not at all. At least the bathroom did not have clear windows into the room like a lot of hotels.

Beautiful hotel with numerous amenities. Our rooms were not ready until 5:00 and 5:30, because the hotel was at full capacity the previous night and the cleaning staff was running behind. The rooms are spacious with plenty of closet space. Our minibar had a bunch of things missing but we were assured that “it’s not going to be a problem”. The floor of the large shower was not pitched correctly so the water would flow out into the bathroom. We placed a towel on the ground inside the shower to keep most of the water inside. The outside of the property featured many loungers and pools with cabanas for rent. The one issue we had was that they would close the outside areas at 4:30 each day to set up for private events. One of the reasons we paid thousands of dollars for this hotel was to use the infinity pool, hot tub and poolside loungers, and we were deprived of using them, because the hotel got more money from someone else to reserve those areas. We were actually told that we can use the table with 4 chairs if we pay 1000€ or a 6 person lounger for 2000€. No thank you… The concierge was not helpful in obtaining tickets for sightseeing, actually telling us to use the websites. Also they made a reservation for the hotel restaurant Fire, and then when we showed up, the hostes had no such reservations!! Disappointed

Great stay here in August. Loved the pool areas and the bar at the top was great. We were given the breakfast option for free on the three days we stayed and it was honestly one of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had at a hotel. Lovely

This W never disappoints. Even though the hotel is nearly full, service was still fantastic. The gym is well equipped, has plenty of space and a gorgeous view. Food and wine are excellent and of course being on the beach makes this hotel unique in Barcelona. The only drawback is that you have to take a taxi to get anywhere - but small price to pay

Most of the vacation was excellent. The service of the concierge and the hotel staff was great. The service around the pool and beach however, was awful. They would take our order and it would take so long or never show up. I also got the feeling i was annoying them when i asked about the missing orders. This was on more than one occasion. The room was great and they upgraded us to a higher floor because it was available. The room cleaning service did an excellent job cleaning the room daily and would leave us small treats. Overall it was an awsome experience maybe i just got unlucky with the pool staff.

Great location with gorgeous views. A little away from most of the attractions but just a 20 minute taxi ride from most of them. And always a taxi there waiting. All of the staff was great!!! Thought I left phone in taxi and young valet ran them down. Food was good. Looked like pretty popular place for the bar scene. My kids liked the view and how close it was to the beach. Rooms were great!!! Everyone was so friendly and accommodating. Close to the cruise port area. I would stay here again and try to use more of the amenities.

Pros, has great amenities, great views of beach, nice pools, restaurants and bars very nice but pricey (of course). Cons, couldn't really think of any besides the boardwalk, very chaotic. But thats not the hotels issue

La vue de cet hôtel est incroyable. Par contre, la propreté laisse à désirer et pour le rapport qualité prix n’est pas génial . Avons fait 3 autres hôtels à Barcelone et celui ci enlevant la vue serait le dernier .

The wait to check-in was more than half of an hour, and the lobby felt chaotic. The room was fine, but the shower had chipped/missing tile pieces and a damaged drain cover. Hallway carpets were stained, wet from rain because the doors were open, and smelled musty. The noise level was a party atmosphere and could be heard from our seventh floor room at 2am. The bar and restaurant food and beverages were delicious and service top-notch. We appreciated the proximity to the beach and Barceloneta area.

Our room wasn’t ready and we had to wait about 3 hours. There was a massive party/noise after 2am at the time of our stay. Hallways was filled with the smell of weed. Great hotel to party. Not a hotel for families with children.

The good - great location and amazing view from the room, and the beds and pillows are comfortable. I felt safe in this district. The bad - room servicing and kitchen bathroom amenities not replenished (we requested multiple times (daily) to have teabags replenished in our tea/coffee station in our room. We also had to ask for body wash to be refilled. For a "five-star" hotel, this attention to detail should be a given. The ugly - every morning there was an unpleasant smell in the shower from the drains. The conference room is in the basement, so there is no daylight or fresh air.

Very loud hotel, music continue until 2AM every night making it difficult to get any rest. Had to change my room the second night to a higher floor due to the noise. Not very attentive, didn’t get the room cleaned until about 5pm and that’s after we requested it to be cleaned. Location is nice , views are great. But a 20-30 min drive daily from center of city. Not sure if I’d stay there again.

Aside from the great location and view it was one of the worst hotels I’ve stayed at. The first night the whole pool and beach area shutdown early for a DJ show and we couldn’t get anyone to get us drinks for at least 30 minutes. Shower leaked out into sink area and into toilet every time we showered. Anytime a neighboring door shut the mirror and whole wall rattled very loud. Couch and floor stained. Open concept to lobby and bar down below made for very loud nights and hard to sleep. Our keys stopped working on the third day we were staying there. I was very disappointed with this hotel especially for how much money I spent on the room. I would never stay here again.

The property’s location is beautiful with great view of the beach and easy access to the beach area. However, it is loud and chaotic. Our arrival experience was very disappointing with the hotel transportation being 40 mins late to pick us up, followed with hours of waiting for our room. Check in is guaranteed for 3pm but we didn’t get our keys until 6pm which really ruined our first day in Barcelona. The concierge misplaced our luggage which they had stored for us. So overall the first impression was poor. The management did try to please us and we appreciated it. I wouldn’t stay at this property again, there are definitely much better options.

The hotel itself was very nice. Very modern, great location. Checking in, proved to be an ordeal. Long wait with people cutting in line, not enough staff, terribly slow. Then my case didn’t work and I had to go back and wait again. Should be better for a five star hotel.

No turndown service. Asked the housekeeping staff at 11 am to wait 10 minutes before cleaning the room - came back 10 hours later and room not clean. Called front desk and the person that responded was very patronizing and rude.

The property is absolutely breathe taking. The check in service was outstanding. I arrived at 9am and surprisingly my room was ready. I did not have to wait until 3pm like most hotels. On the negative side once I was checked in the rest of the staff were not so amazing. Everytime I attempted to board the elevator to go to my room, I was stopped by hotel staff and asked could they help me as if I was not a registered guest. This was vet unprofessional and annoying to me. I had a dinner reservation at the rooftop resturant, they would not allow me to board the elevator, I’m assuming because there is a club in the resturant. They just automatically assumed I was going to the club and told me I had to stand in a line. At that point I became very vocal and asked was I being treated this way because of my skin tone. The host check-in immediate informed them we had reservations and were guest in the hotel. This type of service is not acceptable especially when the rate is $600 per night. I would def stay again, but I would be clear to inform the staff upfront to not harass me, I am a paying guest.

Sie haben uns das Zimmer welche wir haben reserviert nicht gegeben, sondern Zimmer niedrigere Kategorien auf 2. Etage, vom total 23 Etage. Und wir haben so viel für Zimmer bezahlt! Das Personal ist sehr unhöflich, meistens an der Rezeption! Rezeptionisten streiten mit Gästen, und mit uns... Am Lounge im Hotel wir haben einen Chicken Burger bestellt und sie haben uns rohes Fleisch gegeben. Das ist nicht Hotel 5 Sterne, sondern 1 Sterne.

It was good. However, we made a reservation for Noxe restaurant and this got cancelled the afternoon randomly as “some guest” reported booked out the restaurant on that day. Otherwise good hotel

Nice hotel, very busy as has several restaurants & cocktail bar/Nightclub, lots of external visitors.. Breakfast was pretty standard except the hot food wasn’t hot, however the restaurant duty manger did recognise that & instantly resolved our issue, would stay again.. I did get a good deal through hotels.com

The views from the room and by the lift were amazing . The service at reception was very good . The service at salt restaurant was very bad ( half hour to get a coffee and tea and some eggs ) they were doing some work on our floor so drilling noise from 9 am . They have not told us . Sky bar closed . Door in bedroom scatch the floor so could not close it . Fridge was warm . Very expensive for the service .

Property is dated. Staff at reception are slow and one of them was very rude at check in. Staff are insufficient and poorly trained. Dinner at Fire restaurant was awful! Wine was good but service and food was bad. Our food took over an hour to get to us and staff ignored us. Not a pleasant experience, our third trip to the hotel, not returning for sure!

Everything about this hotel was amazing! Everyone was friendly and welcoming, the room was spacious and clean, and the food and drinks were outstanding at all the restaurants and bars. It was the perfect place to spend our 30th anniversary. We loved that we were close enough to be able to walk into the city or easily grab a cab waiting outside the hotel, but also far enough away from the city that we had a luxurious place to relax when we returned from our excursions. We were very sad to leave and dream of returning again someday!
