The Newgrange Hotel

Nice hotel. Clean but room we had was in need of updating the bathroom especially. Food was good. Carpark terrible too compact for bigger car and alloy wheels easily damaged

Very friendly staff. Nice room. Great breakfast. Parking lot onsite, tight spaces and a little hard to get into the lot but otherwise great.

No complaints about the Newgrange, staff friendly and helpful, offering a high level of service. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The only issue was access to the car park which is tight with parking spaces on the small side.

The Parking lot was made for tiny cars, terrible car park, they need to up date it completely, will not stay there again until they do. The hotel is great other then that.

It’s very nicely located in a central part of the town. They also had free parking onsite making it easy for us to walk the town and not worry about our vehicle.

The parking lot was very tight. The room was pretty small. The hotel lobby, library, waiting was very nice. The reception staff was very friendly. Cheap towels. Faucet sprayed on my clothes and toward the door (floor). Glad we planned on only one night there.

Unfortunately booked one night when they had BINGO LOCO RAVE. Please check the website before you book, not obvious. Thumping noise until 11pm all through the hotel. If I had known I would not have booked. Was supposed to be a relaxing birthday weekend. Was anything but. Complained to Manager next morning but she very sarcastically said THANK GOD THE NOISE ONLY WENT ON TO ELEVEN! She could not have cared less. Only interested in taking your money. WORST THING ALSO WAS THE CHEAP SPRINGY BED. Definitely not pocket sprung or foam. Just cheap.

Fantastic stay at this beautiful hotel. Staff were lovely and the parking was super easy. Lovely breakfast. We’d definitely stay here again. Thanks a mill xx

Sufficient for our stay, but room was lacking, and parking garage was narrowest ive ever been in. Bar was lovely.

Stayed in the Newgrange Hotel for two nights 13th and 14th of February to celebrate my wife's birthday. From the moment we arrived at the hotel we were greeted with a smile that gave a thousand welcomes. From booking in at reception, to the bar staff, to the cleaning staff, to the night porter (which we had great banter after returning after a great night in Navan) , to the breakfast on both mornings I do not have anything bad to say. All the staff were excellent, very polite and extremely helpful. We had a few drinks in the bar both nights and found the service quick and at a high standard. On friday evening we decided to eat at Rowley's Bar and I must say the food was exceptional. I ate a smash burger and my wife had the chicken stack, complimented with a portion of delicious onion rings. The food was such good value for money and so reseasonably priced. Would highly recommend the food from the bar. Even down to the small things like the hair dryer not working I rang reception and we had a new one in minutes, even when checking out on Sunday morning the receptionist was so pleasant and make us feel like a valued customer. Overall excellent staff, excellent food, and a very clean room which had all you need in a hotel room.

We had the misfortune of staying in room 512. We arrived at around 8 pm. When we got to the room. There was an awful musty smell. There was a used milk carton on the dresser and a suspicious white stain on the navy blue bedsheet. The room was freezing after one hour. I asked at reception if there was a problem with heating the receptionist informed me that she would turn the heat on in the room?? A hassle I really didn’t need at that time of night after a long journey. Breakfast was okay. I did enjoy a cappuccino served by one of the hard-working breakfast stuff. But based on my stay and influenced by the room, I probably wouldn’t return or recommend.

Weather was fabulous thank god as if i had to spend more time in the bedroom that would have been a nightmare. The breakfast was horrible, the bacon had a funny taste, we only took breakfast one morning out of the two as it was really horrible. There is work being carried out on the dated hotel. Wifi did not stretch to our room, which im sure could be fixed easy. Overall i wouldnt recommend, but its central to everything for thst it was good. Bed wasnt particularly comfortable. Sink in bathroom had a big crack and hole and the light hanging from celling was hanging by a thread. There was a smell in the hotel that was terrible also.

Clean room, nice size and comfortable bed. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food in the bar and breakfast in the cafe were both delicious

Stay was good but heat of the room was unbearable and could only be controlled by the front desk and it controlled the entry floor not just our. Anyhow the staff really were very apologetic and did what they could within their means to make us comfortable. The unfortunate thing was we could not opened the window every night because the cigarette smoke would come into the room from the outdoor smoking on the patio. Secondly, the water temperature was all over the place challenging to take a shower in the morning it was slightly better at night. Lastly, the bathroom was very much in need of new caulking everywhere and the toilet needs some TLC, it was loose and not anchored to the floor. There was no cleanliness issues with it just maintenance issues. .

Bedroom itself was superb! Bathroom definitely needs to be updated. Peeling silicone sealant around bath and sink. Wood in bathroom old and scraped. Cannot fault bedroom. Plenty of sockets etc. service was amazing! Staff very polite and friendly

There was visible rotting wood from water damage in the bathroom, there was mold on the bathtub seals, holes in the Sheetrock on the walls and the carpets were gross. Had I been booked for more than 1 night I would have been looking for a different hotel.

Nicely refurbished room. Very comfy bed. Decent sized room. Excellent breakfast. Nice public areas downstairs. Very enjoyable stay. Highly recommend.

Location is great, staff is amazing. The room temperatures were hard to manage, it was either too hot or too cold and no way to change it. Also WiFi only worked in certain areas.

We were warned about the refurbishment, but carried on for our weekend. Got room 501. All good first night. Saturday we ate in the hotel. My wife is a veggie. Not a great menu for her. She asked for spicy veggie chilli chicken on a bed of chips. She got it on a bed of mcCoys crisps. After an early evening of a meal and drinks we went up to our room to relax. However the entertainment was "bingo loco". Our room was only a few yards away. The evening was a constant thud of the music. The only saving grace was it finished early but we weren't warned about the event. This ruined a good weekend

Noisy room above reception, heating broken (room like a sauna), smelled like smoke and the food was inedible at breakfast. Moved to a better room for night 2 as I was ready to leave. Expected a refund if I’m honest as it was a terrible experience

I really enjoyed my stay at the Newgrange Hotel. The staff were very friendly and the room amenities were great. Breakfast was very nice. The only issue I had was that the wifi signal wasn't strong enough to reach my room, which was at the back of the building. Other than that, everything was fine. Thank you!

Average hotel, lobby & bar lovely and modernly decorated. However, room was dated, old and noisy. Bed was old spring bed which was very uncomfortable. I ended up sleeping on top of the duvet in an attempt of additional comfort. Walls very thin, could hear everyone and everything. Late check in offered at €10 per hour additional after 12 noon which was ideal as we needed a late check out. Staff were lovely.

Breakfast was finished very early (day after new yrs) at 10am but staff were very accommodating and allowed us having it slightly later as were just removing it when we arrived to the dinning area. Much appreciated

Checkin policy was someone inflexible but we were able to work something out with the staff, who were generally friendly.

Location was great, facilities and food was good. Clean facilities, staff at breakfast and dinner were not very friendly. This was the one thing I disliked

Just back from a 2 day break...Great hotel the staff are brillant and can not do enough for you from the check in staff to the barstaff and breakfast staff. We stayed for our anniversary and they had a lovely message with chocolate covered strawberries for us on arrival. Breakfast was fresh and again staff were great and very helpful. Had a small issue with the toilet informed the girl on reception and it was sorted witin minutes. We stayed here several times and have to say definitely one of the best. They done a lovely refurbishment on rowleys bar and not overpriced. Pint of guinness was €6 and great pint. We will see you soon 10/10..

Absolutely no interaction from check in or check out person at desk..no 'thanks for staying 'or 'have a good day'. Had to change rooms as what I booked wasn't available. Had to take 2 separate rooms...both cold. Met lovely waitress when we had dinner in bar

I booked this hotel as it was so convenient to the hospital where my husband was undegiing surgery. The hotel itself was very homely, the staff were very helpful and friendly and the breakfast was brilliant. It is just a short stroll to the town centre and local amenities. I would recommend the newgrange hotel to anyone visiting Navan.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the wonderful Newgrange Hotel. A beautiful old hotel with well appointed rooms and a lovely view of the church and it's yards across the road. Perfect location too.

Beautiful hotel & definitely recommend but some busy loud traffic is very close to some rooms

Basement Parking was slightly counterintuitive but once we worked out where the access was, it was easy to get to. Lots of eating places and riverside walks close by.

This is an older but well maintained property with friendly and helpful staff. The location was very convenient for seeing the Town and visiting the Pubs. We stayed for two nights and had no issues whatsoever. The bottom line, would I stay here again? Absolutely. Would I recommend it to a friend? Absolutely.

No hot water in room. Had to have a cold shower. Room beside lift and was very noisy. Hotel and rooms very dated. Not much variety for breakfast.

Door into room difficult to open. Carpet restricting door opening. Room cold. No water in the bedroom. Breakfast only very basic. Very poor vegetarian option. Only beans and hash browns. No tomatoes or mushrooms. No brown bread. Only poor quality sliced pan for toast. We attended breakfast at 10am on Saturday morning. Last breakfast 10:30 but very little choice left. Had to get our own delph and cutlery. No one offered tea or coffee. Very poor service. Dinner in bar was very nice and good service.

Breakfast buffet was luke warm to cold. Disturbed 8:00am workmen changing planter boxes outside open room windows. Sewage / odor smell throughlout? Staff reception, bar and restaurant were great.

Our stay was very comfortable. Bed room was lovely and bright, very clean and spacious. At frint if hotel and noise was not an issue. Bathroom was in need of a revamp. Bar was very stylish, staff very pleasant. Food very good. Reception staff very Welcoming and pleasant. The hotel was let down by the breakfast and the room. I was going to recommend the hotel to friends and family as we enjoyed our stay until breakfast and I knew my friends too would be disappointed in it too. It was such a pity.

A good option when in the area on business. Comfy rooms, great service, good restaurant food and an excellent breakfast, with local, traceable options.
